  • wow, you suck

  • @awreckingball ,and who the fugg are YOU that your comment even holds weight ................ you can't be a trumpet player thats better than me ! O_O

  • Awesome !

  • O snap :O

  • WOW !!

  • well you got the high note... lol nice

  • That was great Born!!!!!!!

  • Speechless!

  • @Eclipticalstorm ............... Thanks !

  • that was awful....

  • DAMN!!!!

    that was amazing

  • good job, just make sure especially like for that last note is a little airy, i know especially to hold it out like that at times may be hard, other than that, i enjoyed it.

  • i can play a high G easily and im 12

  • @worracsk8er .............. playing a high g isnt the point ,1000's of trumpeters can probably play one ! But 1000's of trumpeters CAN'T play the exercise and end on that high g plus hold it out !

  • @born1914 definately, i can hit a Double G and hit a C twice this year, with this exorcise i may be able to hit the G but with good quality i doubt. ATM im working on getting good tone above the double D, but ill see how that goes lol. Last week got the G clear as day, made me really happy ;D. BUT if only i could do that everytime ><

  • @born1914 Ya i can hit a double G and rarely a Double C, i myself have an adaptive range as well, so i can do a long exercise like this, and hit the G, but i doubt as clear as that. Bravo~ ATM im working on getting those notes above Double D in good quality, well see how that goes :), had a clear G the other day! :)

  • @worracsk8er I can go higher to the high C

  • @worracsk8er fucking doubt it

  • What size mouthpiece? B? Nice high C, but the runs sounded a lil slured for lack of a better word. Maybe its just a bad mic on your cam. You definately have skills though. Keep it up.

  • wow that was fucken amazing

  • THANKS :-)

  • kiii preto fei kk

  • jaja

  • open up your arms youll find it alot easier to play

  • or fly

  • wow nice

  • Gotta admit, I've never heard Clarke Technical study #5 played quite like that...

  • eh.

  • that's pretty nice... you just need to work on your tone a bit when your moving around on the horn like that.... otherwise, awesome!

  • nice lol my G above the staff would sound horrible after those notes lol id probably play a flat C

  • When I say idiots, I meant to direct that towards people belittling the effort he put in.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, however, Sonal.

  • can you do F# that fast!?

  • NOT HARDLY AS FAST ..........LOL!

  • how long have you been playing for? I'm 23 and am just about to begin playing the trumpet,.. thinking of taking lessons from a C G certified teacher sometime when I can afford it.. some of them give online lessons. Do let me know what you think of it.. great playing!

  • I like how all these people claiming to be able to play a high G have no idea that it's a high G not a triple G.

    You my friends, are idiots.

A triple G would be four octaves over a concert F tuning note.

That's G on the second line of the staff, G on top of the staff, G an octave about that (high G), a G above that G, and then one more G up.

Find a double C and work your way from there.

Notes above high C take unparalleled PRECISION and SKILL to play consistently.

    Don't belittle the ability.

  • There is no true official naming for notes beyond the staff, just a universally agreed on naming for most of them. Depending on the person, what they call the notes will vary. Yes, I call it a "Triple G", because I view the first notes that are actually "on" the staff to be the First (Normal), next octave as Second (Double0, and the octave after that, Third (Triple). I agree completely on the ideal that it takes an amazing amount of precision to play high, this is coming from a screamer so yes

  • Actually, you are wrong. C below the staff is C1, all the notes between that C and the C in the staff are notes like C1 D1 E1 F1 G1 A1 B1. Above that B1 the C in the staff is considered C2. Above the next range of notes they consider the C above the staff to be C3. Above that it would be C4 and so on. The notes are the notes, or else nothing would be able to be harmonized. The notes arent what you your feelings think they should be, they are what they are.

  • i would suggest dropping your superiority complex where you stand and be tolerant of more than one point of view. I prefer what I call them, and just because you think you can prove to me how it all works, doesn't mean that I will suddenly change my ways of thinking about this matter. I love how you worded that "Actually, you are wrong." That there is enough intolerance to fill a pool with.

  • I agree with sonal.

Besides, no matter what we call it, G3, Triple G, high high G, we're all still talking about the same note. :P

  • Thank you :)

  • Cyonide696:: Actually, YOU are wrong. C below the staff in treble cleft is C4. I mean if you wanna get all technical we should be calling it G6.

I usually call it super G or duba G. lol

  • i agree with you gi1237. But i think that there is a different between respecting someones point of view and being tolerant. just my 2 cents. I think the tastee bros call that a trip G or a trippa G

  • Hey cyonide696,

It's OKAY to release the sphincter once in a while.

Releasing yer sphincter every now and then will prevent you from amassing too much anal attitude.

As a side benefit, you vill experience fewer ass-kickings in public places from guys who won't take yer sissy crap.

Example: You'd DEFINITELY have to perform a sphincter release before you pass me in public.

Anal releasing DOES NOT MEAN you get to tighten some OTHER bodily orifice. You'll get kicked there TOO.

  • Is this a good day for you or do oyu perform this well normally?

  • It was just a random session ....on my good day i could have probably went up one more octave.... but I can play the exercise at least as good on a bad day

  • how you not faint after that?

    good god, very good

  • that is not a clarke technical studies... to be honest it just seemed like you were doing chromatic scales, haha correct me if i'm wrong

  • guess you didn't make it that far in the book ............ to be exact its probably the last group of exercises in there, and its clearly not chromatics

  • o ok sorry! haha and no i haven't made it that far, again sorry!

  • its all good !

  • This dude kinda looks like a bald Miles Davis....yea???

    Nice chops man.

  • nice. I dont have high chops... good work

  • What was that last note?!

  • high G

  • ...

    Good.

    God, man.

  • verry good!

  • he died after the video ended

  • What the Fuck??

  • Holy Shit i all i can say.... I am jelous

  • Wow, that must have taken hard ass work!

  • Why did my comment get a thumbs down?

  • super duper lalalalalala!lol

  • Very nice, now lets hear each note played stacato(double tongue) that would be a feat.

    Thanx for vid...

  • chops!!

  • nice

  • Every Jazz solo should try to kill people in the end. Incorporate, NAO

  • haha, nice

  • sounds like you got some rough edges to smooth out but good. im working on that too. but more power to ya for hittin that high note and beingable to hold it.

  • fuck!

  • dude that was awesome :)

  • he didn't write it......but try your good ears to transcribe the whole thing!!!

  • hehehehe good one!!!!!!

  • wow you can press buttons and play a g... thats not real technique man.

  • How is that not technique? You have like lips of steel to hit that note because its up there kickin' it with God and can you do it?

  • lmao kik'n it with god

  • one its God and two it up there was my meaning.

  • That, my friends, is a triple G. You can only do that when you have The Power (or are a god).

  • sry but thats not a triple g and u dont have to be god to hit one

  • jerk

  • wrong..... high G!!!

  • Real Technique? Why don't you use air as you go higher, you play strong low then the higher you get, the tenser and thinner it gets.

  • pretty good

  • Nice job born, u shoulda came back to Mid-South Alumni band this summer, our trumpets really could have used u.

  • GREAT!!

  • I have a 7C and I can hit a triple G, I've been playing for one year...

  • ok that's nice, now try playing with a bigger mouthpiece

I played with 7C in the first year, I play with 1 1/2C now, the sound of it is much stronger and warmer, but it's much more harder to hit high notes, I've been playing for 9 years

  • in the end your head... boooom!!

  • riiiiiiggghhhht

  • that's it man, title says it all

  • ok...bravo! that is awesome

  • Ye it does...

  • sounds like a HL Clarke exorcise hehehe
