  • I'd like to know two things:

    1. How do they get the star in the balloon?

    2. Why doesn't Geoff ask the challenger's name right when they come up?

  • Excuse me Raarrow, this show was aired on Monday, October 19, 1981, not Friday, September 18, 1981, you know that.

  • Was that Jay Stewart announcing?

  • @animegal2686 No, it was Barris' preferred backup announcer, Tony McClay.

  • I LOVED this show as a kid! I used to watch this on USA Network when I was about 6 years old. It was my favorite game show back then.

Thanks so much for the upload. I forgot how this show worked lol, I just remember them picking boxes

  • I wonder if this aired on CBS in some maakets

  • great theme song!

  • treasure hunt birthday idea is good for family fun.

especially for kids.Creating treasure hunt games is an excellent and affordable way for you to host the party in your own home instead.treasurehuntclues

  • this is awesome only a day before my birhtday i was 2 at the time

  • I remember that episode when it was reran on CBN back in the 80's. I've seen it since I was a kid, originally it was shown on WNEW-TV in New York City where they used to have game shows on in the afternoons.

  • i remember the goofy music they played when someone won a box of rocks. this was on in 1977.

  • @ 5:44 quick look at $660 because she owns what in that box.

  • What happened to Tony McClay?

  • When the boxes are black in the beginning, that sort of reminds me of Card Sharks except the borders are green and a lot thicker.

  • @MrGameshowfan "The jackpot check is high! The Clunk is low! Call it right and win the dough! ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN TREASURE HUNT! And here's the host of Treasure Hunt, Geoff Edwards!"

  • The original "Deal Or No Deal."

  • @carchavtube except "Treasure Hunt" was a lot more entertaining!

  • Didn't Bob Hilton announce this version as well?

  • TOny McClay announcing? Certainly isn't Johnny Jacobs, who passed away during this show's run.
