  • If you dislike this your fucking stupid

  • love the tone from the amp. ps- any details on where i could get the backing track?

  • @IANC4EVER Thanks. Unfortunately, the project containing this backing track was destroyed along with the hard drive it was stored on, a couple of years ago. All I have is the mixed demo of the tune complete with vocals, etc.

  • Good demo -- you got some old fashioned soul in those fingers -- the amp doesnt hurt either.

  • You RULE ! Your tone is smooth as silk ! keep it up brother.

  • too brittle treble-

  • you got mojo brother!!!

  • @burnmills Thanks for the kind words!

  • Super sweet sound man,! I think i'm getting myself a twin reverb.. :) Good work!

  • like butter!!!!

  • Very very nice!

  • and god has created amplifier ..

  • if this is you "goofin" then i'd like to see you "tryin" ...great stuff man!

  • you are a good player my brother you would be welcome on any gig i do

  • noise free well done a lot of careful structural display of skill beaut sound

  • Very much enjoyed this video. Thanks for taking the time to put it together Love the tone as well. Good day

  • @ArtDonna84 Why thank you. Good day to you as well.

  • you're playing does remind me of john frusciante mixed with bluesy stuff really good keep it up bro

  • love it bro, nice job

  • dude you are an other good example that people don't need to be a virtuosos to be a good guitar players

    cheers

  • are you on the bridge pick up?

  • Sounds Awesome!!!

  • great playing and gear

  • maybe it's cuz im high but this touches me...

  • frusciante

  • nothin better than a twin

  • great tone, I'm waiting on my SF to arrive.

  • Yeah! Once You play a Twin for a time it'll really spoil Ya. I know over a dozen players who sold their Twins only to buy another Twin Reverb.

Nobody that bought another Twin sold it again.

I'm addicted to mine with a SparkleDrive, like a B3 with a Leslie. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • true dat. i got the 40th anniversary blonde edition, and with the eminence speakers it sounds even better. try the sexdrive instead of the sparkle drive though :)

  • Appreciate the suggestion! Mine's a '68 Dripguard with the Altecs.

Have to admit it sounds pretty decent as is.

  • it would sound even better if it wasn't so bright..

    peace

  • Nice jam, man. That sounded really mellow and bluesy. I bet you play in a club somewhere and if you don't, you should!

  • This sounds great! Kinda bluesy, but great.

  • Great sound, great playing. It made me happy ! Thnx bro.... 5*

  • Love it. Just picked up a '72 that was re-built with Weber Silver Bells. Probably the best amp I've ever owned.

  • Yes I know it has the mix control, but that only controls the amount of Wet and Dry signals going through, a delay in my opinion, should have Rate, Level (of the pedal), Repeats, and Mix control (Wet vs Dry amounts).

This had 3 out of 4 and, yeah it probably was that particular unit, if it hadn't had the volume boost, I would've gone it because I definitely am with you on the tone. MXR CC delays sound fking amazing.

  • No I don't have any problems with mine because I didn't buy the piece of shit. I don't understand why they don't put a level control on their pedals anyway.

Even a SLIGHT volume boost or drop is enough to turn me off right away from the pedal, I mean even just 2-3 dBs Maybe it was that particular unit in the store, but it was way too noticeable.

  • I like it, sounds good some little mistakes in the bendings and slides but sounds really REALLY GOOD!!! keep it up and maybe if you add some lyrics you will be a famous guitar player

  • that's some sick shit bro. That's some nice sound you got there. =)

  • Thanks for the nice comment :)

  • is your silverface 100 or 135 watts?

  • It's 100w.

  • i have one of those love it! they are the best amps

  • I love this amp!

My friend bought exactly the same model (year as well). when he came into some money, alond with a 'the twin' and a 60s ac30...........the bastard!

At least i get to try them out, The twin ftw!

  • Yeah, it's a great amp. I have yet to try "The Twin" but I've heard a few people gig with them. I'm not crazy about the sound. I prefer the silverface clean.

  • Yeah totally agree on the clean side of things! But as the twin starts to break up it's heavenly! How does your sf reverb react to pedals? boosters, ts9's, fuzzes etc? the one my friend owns doesn't like them.... well not like the twin or ac30.

I'm thinking of getting a hot rod deluxe. i know they're not in the league of amps we're discussing but have you had an experience with one?

  • Well, I don't really have a set of pedals. When I play live I use Bass Pod XT to drive the effects and they sounds fine through the amp. But I have yet to try some rich pedals through it.

  • a couple of ts9s, i'd suggest any of the analog man mods to get a more rounded and quality sound; and you'd be set!

With a delay of course =P. Just stay from the Carbon Copy delay, horrible volume boost when it's on.

  • whats the differnce between the silver fave and black face

  • Hi raquel1234ful, the main difference is the circuit design. The blackface uses AB763 whereas the silverface uses AC568. The blackfaces are generally considered to sound better and richer and I tend to agree, but I can't really afford one right now, so the silverface is more than meeting all my needs.

  • would you say the difference between blackface and silverface twins is exteremely noticable?

  • Well, for the way I use them, no. Because I use them for the clean tone and for that, they both seem to work just as well for me. Probably most would disagree.

  • People really need to stop reminding me how much I want a silverface Twin

  • I cut my teeth playin' with one of these back in the 60's. When ya pushed them they would give the best feedback and distortion anyone could ask for. Saw one in the paper a few years back for $50.00 and the line was busy for days. Never got through.

  • sweet playing, sweet tone, and sweet dreads bro. I could never afford a fender twin, but I have a music man that gets pretty close

  • this music would go good with red show diaries porn or something

  • I use the same amp guitar combo !

great sound when I want alittle grunt i use a ts-9 and that twin just goes WOOF!

  • Thats chill man, good job, feels like the Eagles a bit.

  • tone sounds a litte like the guy from the chilli peppers... nice playing man.

  • nah, i don't think it sounds like frusciante....

maybe some stuff from by the way, not much else.

    still sounds nice.

  • Not really my kind of music, but that was killer. You have some heart man. Good to see. Keep at it brother.

  • great playin' man, i want that amp too:-)

  • Heya there!Really nice playin.....I have a Fender Twin,I use a Mosrite through it........best amp EVER!!!!!!!!!!

  • ..groovy

    ;)

  • Very nice sound, very nice playing.

    Enjoyed it.

  • Kept the mistakes ? . . .theres no mistake on that feeling . . .good work man.

Have one of same amps . . .

you make me want to fix it up.

  • Thanks, I appreciate the nice comment. Definitely keep that amp if you got one and get it fixed up when you can. It's a classic and they don't make them like they used to.

    Peace,

    Red

  • q rico, pero q rico sonido tiene ese twin alguien sabe cuanto esta mas o menos

  • No habla español, pero si entiendo correctamente... Silverface 1977 Fender Twin Reverb. I traded it in at value of roughly $900.

  • loved it all the way.

  • Thanks.

  • jzwa- don't fret. A squire can produce excellent music. MtlRed has a nice gtr and amp, but needs a decent mic preamp.

  • One of these days. In the meantime I gots to deal with this berhinger ultragain pro.

  • How long have you been playing ?

I like this mellow kind of style, wish i had a true authentic (fender)strat.

Though i'm happy with my squire!

    keep it coming!

  • Thanks for the comments. I've been playing for 18 years. Yeah, put some money aside and when you have enough get yourself a real nice Strat and amp. Highly recommend.

  • Dig this sound, man! Nice.

  • Thanks. Silliness, I know...

  • Nice playin',nice style.Keep it up.

In my opinion,ya just can't beat the Strat/Twin combination for sound and tone quality! I have a number of guitars &amps, but my American DeLuxe and'73 Silverface is always my "go to" setup.

  • Thanks. I just scored this amp about a month ago when I traded a 410 Blues DeVille for it. I think I got the sweet end of deal. Sometimes I run it in parallel with a Blues Junior and it's a remarkable sound. What other amps/guitars do you have?
