  • You made a mistake...it should be "The GREATEST singer....."

  • @miketallica665 I don't remember what I said but Bing Crosby may well indeed be the greatest singer! Jason

  • @JJJUSCFAN8 you said "famous siger"

  • I found another site with a lot of 'Crosby's' at careysmoke shop-google it. Jason

  • I looked on the internet and found all kinds of nice looking 'Crosby' pipes at all kinds of prices and some were Savinelli's $60-$70+ on 'careyssmokeshop' and some nice ones on other sites-check around. Also I never use a filter and if you mean that balsa filter I don't use and do not put that small plastic piece in Savinelli's back in and they smoke great. Jason

  • Nice, I've been looking into getting a Bing Crosby pipe, good to see what the original one looks like, thanks.

Do you know who makes them besides Dunhill and Savinelli? The Dunhill is a little to expensive, and the Savinelli only comes in filtered models, and I don't like using them unfiltered because the converter tube gets nasty.

  • THANKS FOR THE REPLY AND YOUR IDEA ON HAVING THIS PIPE DONE THE WAY YOU WANT IT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING MANY PIPE MAKERS WOULD DO FOR YOU. JASON

  • so awesome. I love that shape. If I had the funds, I would get it custom built in sandblast black without the silver band.

    amazing history lesson

  • The style was named after him since he designed it and that style or something similar is made now and then by any number of companies-but the original was made by Ed Kolpin and Crosby also of course had many other kinds of pipes. Glad you liked the video-Jason

  • Very lovely! I've considered picking up a Bing Crosby pipe.

  • @ToBaCCoRoW Thanks again for the nice comments and I enjoy passing this stuff on or at least some of the things I have picked up over the years. Jason

  • Another excellent video Jason! That Crosby pipe is really special!

I also like the bent Rhodesian/Bulldog? I never new that briar was sold that old.

Thanks again for sharing some of your collection.

    Cheers,

    ~James

  • @astroman2112 Thanks James for your comments-I hope I was clear that bulldog was 100 years old (and stamped as such) when then 'dug it up' and I have had it another 47 years-both pipes shown are aged Algerian briar. Glad you like the video's and hope to do many more. Jason

  • wow, I never knew that!

    thanks 4posting it,

    Rosiey

  • @rosieyposie7 Hi Rosie and thanks for stopping by and I hope you will enjoy some of my other video's and many more to come. Jason

  • Wow great story and beautiful pipes.

  • @weaveroll Glad you liked the pipe and the stories and come back again. Jason

  • lovely pipe and a great story...thank u for showing this! cheers

  • Thanks for posting some nice pipes & history, great vid.

  • Great video. Great story. I love the Crosby shape. Slim elegant pipes are actually hard to find now. Everyone wants fat stubby shapes. I went to the original Tinderbox back in June and got an old Stanwell they had "new old stock." It had been sitting there for years. Cheers.

  • @GothamCitySmoker I remember going into the original Tinderbox a few years ago and Ed had a few 'Crosby's' he made but the guys told me they were not as good or old as the briar the one I have from 1967 but still nice and good briar-they might still have some in their back storage building. Jason

  • absolutely !! worthwhile information, thank you Jason !!

    Cheers,

    HaJo

  • @MrPiperest Thanks again HaJo for stopping over. Jason
