  • This is one of my favorite songs by Demon Hunter.

  • ryan and bruce screaming together is so melodic to my ears. this had to be one epic performance, wish I was there! God Bless

  • I can't believe how sick DH is!! They have got to be the best metal christian band ever!!

  • Demon hunter is going to be in Wilmore, Kentucky june 17, 2011, so is living sacrifce... you know what that means...

  • Been an Avid DH fan since about 05, before I enlisted, and every CD thats come out since the Triptych, I have rushed to the store to buy and put on my Ipod. Great motivation during PT, cant wait to get the chance to see you guys live FOR REAL

  • the sickest riffs, and the most beautiful choruses and breakdowns. Demon Hunter Is The Best Christian Band EVER!!!

  • Cool intro. No dislikes, wanna know why? Coz its awesome, obviously.

  • What does the number sixteen represent?

  • @breakingthisdown from what i read and understand, sixteen represents the minute 16 that ends the 15 minutes of fame of the people who really shouldnt have those 15 minutes at all. for example Christian Bands who aren't as Christian as they should be or suggestive lyrics for bands who call themselves so

  • @xxBurnsss101 =) Thanks!

  • PATRICK!

  • perfect song.....

  • 0 dislikes ... that's why :)

  • "i hate autotune with a passion and the vocoder too. such a crutch to cover up mediocre vocals. M. Shadows is the only one who does it justice..."

  • @Burningchromosome Ryan Clark has anything but mediocre vocals.

  • @Calbenmike , Ryan is not an example of mediocre vocals at all. I was listening to some Metal on sattelite radio today and some of those vocals just can't compare to Ryan, he's one of a kind.

  • @Burningchromosome I seem to have misunderstood your comment prior to.

  • So refreshing to hear new metal rather than Katy Perrys crappy autotuned voice

  • six six sixteen

  • I freaking love Bruce Fitzhugh

  • Btw who's that other singer on stage? :/

  • @pspvampire bruce fitzugh from living sacrifice. they are amazing.

  • SIIIICK!

  • who is he singing with?

  • @mastershadows57 Bruce, from Living Sacrifice.

  • @rcobern the master of the christian metal scene!

  • this sounds kinda random, but wouldn't it be cool to just hang with demon hunter and living sacrifice for a day? im thinking ultimate frisbee would be sick!

  • @jesusmetal92107 have you seen their 45 days documentary?

  • @SartoriusMagic i want it. but no, i have not seen it. i love ultimate!

  • @jesusmetal92107 ah. well they have a part on there where the whole band hang out with one of their fans for a day. one of the most amazing things.

  • they didnt play this when i saw them =(

  • Comment removed

  • wow, this crowd sucks! they're hardly moving at all!

  • @celticmagnum You can't even see `em so how would you know??

  • So heavy, yet so beautiful.

  • I'm finding that the live performance verson sounds even better than the album version, and the album version sounded awesome to start with. The vocalist sounds great.

  • Love seeing Bruce from LS ..classic!!! this song has such groove..\m/

  • Awesome Dual vocals

  • i swear ryan really blows my mind...he can scream like a rabid animal, but then on the flipside he's got such a great singing voice...hope these dudes are around for many years to come

  • i won free tickets to see them when they come to vegas in may with As i Lay dying, i was gonna buy the tickets anyway, but now i will have some cash to buy some merch, im so fucking excited to see them

  • who's the second singer ?

  • @timo73man the other singer is Bruce Fitzhugh from Living Sacrifice

  • @XtheManimal not a prefix a compund word my friend

  • Bruce backing in this is so cool,

  • its the repeat of Sixteen and the song is on about ppl not being able to survive more than the classic "15 minutes of fame" thus giving the name sixteen to represent tht extra minute than cnt be handled

  • I can't believe they are this good live really I can't. Sounds great in every way possible.

  • wtf live are they that fucking nice <3

  • Wow, are they always this good live?

  • @Demiyqxzurge yeah they always are that good live...seen them three times live and it was a ballin show every time...i saw them on the stronger than hell tour....great stuff

  • @pntballfreek How much did it cost to go see them and where did you get the tickets; my friend and i want to go see them and they are coming to our town.

  • @OneGameAlways umm....i wanna say it was like 15 bucks a head, and i bought the tickets online, but they were selling tickets at the door too, i just didn't feel like dealing with massive lines

  • Don't know about you guys, but I think Patrick Judge's background vocals are frikkin awesome...This is one of my favorite live songs by DH because you have Ryan leading, Bruce backing with screams and Patrick backing with harmonization. It's METALLICALLY and BRUTALLY BEAUTIFUL!!! :D

  • Who are they? Why were they backing up vocals?

  • @Grimz92

that guy is the singer of the legendary band living sacrifice, and Bruce is featured in this song

  • i ment my name is spelled malakai

    not malachi

  • hey donatinganytime my name is malachi

except it is differently it is spelled malakai

  • And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in [his] wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger [from his right], and fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts.

    -Malachi 3:5

  • They can and will fail, and that is to be expected. However, there is a level of failure, as a Christian, as a human, without remorse or repentance that begs to be questioned.

Sixteen is in regard to the minute. Some people are fortunate enough to have fifteen minutes of fame. For these Christians that I speak of, living Godless, perverse lives, I beg for minute 16. I beg for the end of their undeserved fame, for the end of spiritual fraudulence, and the end of their time in this scene.

  • see cus also i tought it had to do with revelatons chapter 16 the wrath of god and being against the beast .....

  • when u say i beg for the end of their undesereved fame .. do u refer to demon hunter ...just a question not accusing or making asumptions.

  • I put the word Christian in quotes, because unfortunately, many of the things that I have witnessed lead me to believe that there are a lot of people involved in Christian music that should not be adopting the term Christian at all.

For many of us in bands, this is a common tale. For others, it may be news. And dont get me wrong here- Im not saying that since these people are Christians, they cannot fail.

  • does any one know d meaning to this song ....i know their a christain band dont see why he says the beast number in the beggining ..

  • Demon Hunter is such a great band!

I like the singer. Just listen to that last scream he lets out!

And he's pretty damn good live too.

  • I cant wait for the new album... EARLY 2010!!!!! THE FIFTH ALBUM! WOOOO!!!!

  • @Youthbandrummer

    From the official DH twitter

    -------------------------------------------------------

TONS of exciting DH news in the new year. Stay Tuned! Until then, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! -Ryan

  • The new album "The World Is A Thorn comes out 3/9"

  • @AngryBob4213 TWIAT is the best metalcore I've ever heard.

  • @AngryBob4213 yeah duh! you thought i would miss that? xD Thumbs up if y got the DVD 45 Days, cuz DH is Fckng brutal!!!!!!!!

  • SICK SONG ! FUCK THE HATERS !

  • insane

  • is it featuring that guy from living sacrifice? soumds like him at the beggining

  • Anyone Knows what is the type letter of back??

  • The Letter Black is awesome!!!! I think they are just rock, possibly metal

  • I would never want to get in a fight with Ryan Clark. That guy looks like a lumber jack, that could beat up any one hahaha

  • i bet ryan clark can beat chuck norris and the whole justice league. haha.

  • fucking epic.

  • yea ryan clark does the clean vocals. always has. some of the live stuff they change up a bit tho, so he doesnt strain his voice as much. but ive always been in awe that its the same guy.

  • Does the harsh vocalist also sing the clean vocals?

    Awesome song!

  • yes

  • yes, he is awesome.

  • <3<3<3 Bruce Fitzugh; Infinite Order cannot come soon enough.

  • wtf? you gotta be fckng DEAF not to hear that RYAN out-classes bruce a billion times over!!!! THAT'S BRUTAL VOKALS MAN!!

bruces' growl sounds more like a strained fart....

  • In this song, yes. But at the beginning of the Power of God on the album, that is the deepest and most powerful growl i have heard. They are both great

  • honestly they both have thir pros and cons, ryan has melody, but isnt able to do all screaming, bruce has the voice that can last a LONG time, so i think its all oppinion, but if i had to choose, i would go with ryan 9my girlfriend is in love with bruce lol)

  • Bruce Is AmAZing.....

  • Whoa wait there's 2 people singing on the album version?

    mind blown

  • yeah, the singer of... i think his bands called The Famine, i know his name is bruce fitzburgh lol

  • No, Living Sacrifice.

  • no bruce is from living sacrifice, the famine guy is the old singer from embodyment

  • once you know, it's really obvious

  • Holy crap, his singing is just as amazing as it is recorded.

  • BEST.SONG.EVER. sickest intro.

  • Haha, Bruce has still got it in him. I think Living Sacrifice got better once DJ left.

On the Album Version of this song, Ryan and Bruce sound nearly the same. :P

  • Ryan is more of... hmm, idk how to explain it. it's almost like yelling.

  • ya, idk, i can barely stand it, i like his vox on storm the gates(song) and thats about it

  • man ive heard alot of bands live this one is the best

  • wow, this and ribcage are awesome songs, but live they kick demon ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow his clean voice is rlli good. just as good as the record. gr8 show (y)

  • One of the coolest guitar riffs is in this song. The introduction is AWESOME! I love DH

  • Honestly! The intro and outro are so epic!

  • this is my favorite song on the new album

  • Man, this live show is so COOL!

but, is true that Bruce Fitzhugh is not any more in Living Sacrifice...

  • im not sure how new your info is but when I saw them about a year ago he was still there.

  • This show was last summer so that doesnt mean much....... I would know, I was there :D was between Jon and Ethan and about 5 people back... I dropkicked some dude when the pit picked up XD it was awesome... but yeah, it was a year ago so Bruce coulda left by now......

  • bruce fitzburgh of living sacrifice excellent christian band as well

  • Best intro ever.

  • Wow i can't belive people claim they sound like slipknot. personally i don't think so at ALL!!! They are so touching. Even if you are not a chirstian you still can't deny D.H is not a good band because they are awesome!!! love you guys keep the faith even through the hard times!

  • Whos the guitarist with long hair?

  • it's Patrick Judge there gutar tech he is playign b/c ethan had to go play for gay relient k

  • Well, Ethan Luck (the guitarist) used to play with the O.C. Supertones, which was a ska band. (which is an awesome band btw!)

That's something very different, they probably like to experience some new stuff in another band.

Btw, I think I like Demon Hunter live even more than in studio. Great performance! : )

  • well they have another guitairst named don

  • omg i love how ryan growls :)

  • Me too. This is the only band that regularly growls/screams that I like.

  • i know serisouly , other bands it just sounds like noise , but ryan he just makes it sound amazing :O

  • Who is that singing with Ryan?

  • Hm... He only says his name twice...

  • It's the lead singer of Living Sacrifice.

  • I know I wasnt involved in the original question and all, but I, as a metal loving atheist, like demon hunter as well (as i lay dying too) I personally am an atheist because I believe the bible no more than I believe mother goose stories. It was all written by a person, and are all stories that no one can show any proof of.

  • Actually, before you get into the question of whether the stories are true or not, there is a lot of people that we know existed. Like Solomon. But there's evidence of the stories, too. Like blackened rocks on Mount Sianai and remains of a large boat on top of a mountain. And about a third of the Bible is letters, not necessarily stories. I'm not trying to start a long, annoying YouTube discussion, but understand that, whether or not the Bible is fake, the authors did leave evidence.

  • but no1 can prove that it doesn't exist either...i am a christian.. and i still sometimes question the bible.. but in the end i believe in it

  • And the saddest part is that the smarter you are, the more often you question it.

  • Even if you don't believe in Jesus, there is a lot of evidence to show that the bible has accurate accounts that are talked about elsewhere. There is also a lot of evidence that proves the Jesus truly did live and die on the cross. There is no arguing that. Glad you like Demon Hunter they are a great band.

  • Yay! An atheist using his brain!

  • Are you talking about me? I'm not an atheist.

  • Oh... dang it, I thought an atheist was using his brain there for a second. Well, not *dang it* for you being a Christian, but... you know what I mean.

  • Remember that you're purpose as a Christian is to show Christ's love to everyone. We are no better than anyone else, for we are all born into sin. Often people think that Christian's think of themselves better than they are, but if they could only see that this isn't what the Bible teaches. You have been saved by His grace because salvation by works doesn't work, and you're purpose here is to show the way to salvation, and to show the freedom found in Christ. Talking like that isn't the best way

  • What I'm saying is don't say things like; "Look an athiest using his brain!" in a sarcastic manner. That isn't really fair, and it's certainly not showing the love of Christ. Not trying to give you a hard time, but I hope that makes sense. Keep the faith.

  • I understand, but I thought I was talking to an atheist; so it would be a compliment.

  • Nice bit of condescension there.

I'm an atheist, I've got no issue at all with people with religious beliefs but if you're coming out with lines that more or less state that atheists lack intelligence, you're giving believers a bad name.

    Pretty pathetic tbh.

I love Demon Hunter, I can identify with some of the lyrics despite not being religious, and I can understand why every single video concerning them on YouTube is filled with discussion of religion.

  • Well, I know this is generalizing, but most of the atheists that I meet either have no reason that they are atheists, have completely senseless arguments, or just accept everything they hear. I apologize for what I said, but that's often how it comes across.

  • Fair play for the honest and quick reply.

I don't and can't speak for other people, I can only speak for myself. I feel and see no reason to have any religious beliefs, that does not mean for a second that people shouldn't have them. A lot of my friends do, and obviously I also listen to bands who are openly religious, such as Demon Hunter.

  • I am comfortable being an atheist, I don't feel any worse off. I'm not saying I wouldn't ever subscribe to any religious views in the future, just that right now I "don't believe" and am fine with that. I'm not saying that the events surrounding Christianity aren't true per se, and I very much respect the religion as a whole because of the lessons it teaches and the moral guidelines it encourages. People aren't bad for not believing what you do, nor do they have to tell you why.

  • that is probably the most open minded and smartest things I've heard anyone say in a while.

  • Is open-minded necessarily a good thing?

  • ???

are you implying that NOT being open minded to other people's beliefs is the correct way to live? Ignorant to what other people feel?

Do you think THAT'S a good thing?

  • I would argue that it's important to NOT be open minded to other people's beliefs in how it changes what you believe. Someone shouldn't be able to sway your beliefs upon one conversation. It's a weak and spineless generation that cannot stand up for what it believes. However it is important to listen, understand and respect other people's beliefs as their own so as to have good and healthy debates.

  • Seriously. Ethan Luck toured as relient k's drummer that same summer

  • Bruce Fitzhugh is awesome in this! Dang Living Sacrifice and Demon Hunter... sweet beautiful metal to my ears.

  • i fully agree

  • they have gotten so great!

  • Demon Hunter is one of the best if not the best Christian metal band there is. and one of the few bands out there in the metal genre that sounds almost like you are listening to their album. God bless Demon Hunter and all the other bands out there spreading the good word of Christ .

  • This band is awesome. who says you have to be christian to like christian metal? i love DH

  • whose the other guy screaming?

  • Bruce Fitzhugh, the lead singer for Living Sacrifice. He did guest vocals on this song.

  • Six, Six, Sixteen, Oh holy day

Your time has come and passed

The rapture weve been waiting for

Has come to us at last

    Sixteen for every fake

Sixteen to every whore - What is that about, I can't get it???

and what's with this 666 in the beginning?

    please explain...

  • it refers to revalation 16, that talks about the wrath of god i'm pretty sure.

  • Minute 16 after your fifteen minutes of fame. Its a question to the Christian music community. Like will you still live for Christ when you're no longer in the limelight?

The Six six six thing is just a lead-in to the first time he says sixteen. Sounds cool tho.

  • their guitar parts are overlooked on songs like Fiction Kingdom

  • holy crap they sound good live

  • The beginning of this song, fricken cool man!! they are such a awesome band. wish i could see them live in person. never in minnesota. i will someday!!

  • is that the guitarist from living sacrifice?

  • The long-haired guy? He's their guitar tech. Their regular guitarist had to leave the tour early to tour with Relient k.

  • oh. well i was completely off.

    thanks for correcting me.

  • relient k? lol why would a guy from Demon Hunter go tour with Relient K thats like AC DC touring with Abba.

  • lol... nice comparison

  • Lol! Demon Hunter and Relient K are not thesame as AC DC and ABBA.. Nevercompare them bro... not good..

  • im just saying that Demon Hunter is awesome and so was AC DC and relient K and ABBA aren't really my style. (Dancing queen ugh)

  • exellent song i love it one of there best but i still cant find the meaning behind it can anyone help

  • it's speaking to someone who has just had their "fifteen minutes of fame" and is saying that their time in the limelight is just about done and over with. (at least, that's what DH's myspace page says.)

  • It's directed at bands that jump on the "Christian band' bandwagon to achieve fame, but don't follow what they preach. And for these hypocrites, he asks for minute sixteen, for them to fade out of the spotlight, as they are more destructive than constructive.

  • they sound soooo good live.

it's like i'm listening to the cd.

  • WTF !!!!!! Demon hunter and living sacrifice are just awesome ! SIXTEEN !!!!!!! ahahaha X[

  • wow... I'd actually never heard this song before now. I now have a brand new respect for Demon Hunter, not to mention Living Sacrifice as well. These guys are amazing, and everyone should listen to them, whether they're "Christian" or not.

  • Agreed. I'm an atheist and I love Demon Hunter.

  • why are you an atheist?

  • That'd be like asking you why you're a Christian. You're answers would probably be similar.

  • except i would say that God is my savior and Jesus died on the cross for our sins and he probably wouldn't say that

  • Yes, but if he were asking you that, he'd ask how you know that. *I'm on your side here, you just need to know that most people have reasons for being atheists*
