i think this game itself some how have a twist and a plot that looks more like a movie rather than a game, makes me curious why does shepard do all of this destruction and where did makarov hide from this war, i assume there will be a sequel 1 or 2 years ahead

This mission makes complete sense. The purpose of this whole plan by Makarov was to frame the Americans. They used American guns such as the M4A1 and M240. The reason why Makarov says "No Russian" is because he is telling him henchmen to NOT SPEAK RUSSIAN. Somehow, Makarov knows Alexei/Allen is American and shoots him right at the end of the mission. This further gives evidence to the Russians that the Americans were the ones who cold-blooded the airport.

The whole storyline doesn't make a lot of sense. Just because some wacko American shot up a Russian Airport doesn't mean that Russia would invade the United States. That was the reason for the invasion, and that makes no sense. I still enjoyed the campaign a lot but im just sayig they need to work on the story more.

He was saying "No Russian" because he doesn't want any of them to speak Russian, he wants the Russian government to believe the whole thing was perpetrated by Americans. That is why he kills you at the end, so the only gunman they find was an American. This was just a way of showing how Makarov was at least one step ahead of everyone else.

@Nonstopie yeah i know but isnt makarov the top of the chain? i mean i would understand if the character was trying to earn makarovs trust by doing his deeds before actually meeting him face to face. but makarov is RIGHT there. he couldve just taken him out (cause isnt makarov the reason all this shit is going down in the game?)

I agree with this, it's one of the plot holes, but it is a game after all. I have a hard time believing any trained agent would be able to stop himself from shooting Makarov and his men but hey I also have a hard time believing anyone would climb a mountain with two ice picks and no rope but certain things slow down the pace of the entertainment.
