As I mentioned before, I worked and made the costumes for Zorba The Greek, who cares if it was not the real SIRTAKI, it was the biggest show in ballet, Vassilev was 54, and just admire the man, and all you Greek Men, shut up, otherwise you go and do it...ha hha..do yuo know that there were 300 artists involved?

this is not about the dance but about the music, how else is the rest of the world (that matters at least) going to realise the wealth of culture and music the greek race produces. If a composer cannot produce symphonies and ballets in this age they will remain anonymous. Now ask any cold blooded western european/angle about greek composers, and they will instantly be able to name Theodorakis, Hadjidakis and Plessas et al, as they were able to market greek music to the rest of the western world

The book "Alexis Zorba" is actually the spirit of the island of Crete, through the iconic figure of Zorbas.
