Well, I'm no ghost expert, but from what I believe is that most ghosts are toubled spirits. They haven't found a proper resting place, or they haven't completed something from when they were living, or some don't even know their dead. Lets say someon was murdered. Their ghost will live on till they find the body and put it to rest, or until they solve the murder. A lot of slaves from back then, are ghosts now, looking for a way out. Its sad really, they just want to sleep forever but they can't.

however... when you are in a different country and you see a ghost...don't you have to talk in their language? or when you decode evp, don't you have to "think" in this language? it might have a different outcome

Um, I think you can give a seance? I'm not sure, but I think thats one way to free their souls. Exorcisms can work too. And if your in a different country with a different language, the ghosts won't understand you if you say "Can you give us your name?". After all, a ghost only knows their native language, they can't automatically know english, or any other different language. So yeah, you need a native speaker to decode an EVP from Japan, or any other country that doesn't speak your language.

The people that lived here, and those that live here now speak English. The family who built this place were of English origin.

Ireland, Scotland and Wales which together with England formed the British Isles all mostly speak English, with native tongues sadly being very much a minority.

No, I felt a pressure around my chest which is indicative of spiritual "over shadowing" - that`s to say, I was within the presence of spirit, and that`s what people often feel. It can be quite strong sometimes. Anyway, it was a good question.

Well residual is `stone tape` that is buried within the fabric of the building and replayed like a tape recorder. The emotions and senses I felt that night were real in the sense it was active spiritual activity. We all have the ability to do this, but many of us blinker this sense away from ourselves.
