  • yes what nonsense you spew .!

  • @elibeth121, what nonsense you spew!! You show total ignorance of God's Word [John12:48] as you contradict Him. If you, in fact, do continue sinning, you are in deep poop! [Heb10:26-27, 1John3:4-9] If you receive your theology from this unrepentant adulteress enemy of God [James4:4], you will follow her footsteps to hell [Eph5:6, Matt7:23].

All will know if Amy decides to love God more than her adultery, to repent & STOP committing adultery [1Cor7:10-11, Rom7:3] -- if even possible [Heb6:4-6]!

  • @shinesmile77, if Amy ever was a child of God, then her living unrepentantly now in disobedient, on-going adultery [Mark10:12, 1Cor7:10-11, Rom7:3, Luke16:18] puts her beyond hope [Heb6:4-6]. Don't just make up your own worldly imaginings, heed what God says about such lawless children of disobedience [1John3:4, 8; Eph5:6, Matt7:23]. Don't follow such enemies of God [James4:4]. Instead, believe Him, love Him [John14:23, 1John5:3] & care for the little ones that Amy leads into sin [Luke17:1-2].

  • e esse brinco? and this earring?

  • why does she wear this "peace symbol" ear rings? Does she not know this is the cross of nero - an occult symbol??

  • @kami37761, where is your head stuffed? Amy does not live her life for God [Luke6:46], she lives it for Amy, for greed and sexual immorality in direct disobedience of God!!! God tells us Amy loves adultery more than she loves God [John14:21-24, 1Cor7:10-11, Mark10:12, Rom7:3, Luke16:18, 1Cor6:9, Heb10:26-27]. Where is your love for God's little ones led into sin by the celebrity model of this unrepentant adulteress? [Luke17:1-2]

The very kindest thing God could say to you would be Heb5:12-14.

  • @MrHippypunkrocker, your desperate, screaming rant has the feel & smell of Christ's description of hell, with wailing and moaning, gnashing teeth, where the flames never are extinguished, the worm never dies, and the stench of sin and rot rises forever!

To us who believe, God tells who loves Him and who doesn't [John14:21-24], who are His enemies [James4:4] bound for hell [Heb10:26-27, 1Cor6:9]. He is judge [John12:48], and He promises His wrath to children of disobedience [Eph5:6, Matt7:23].

  • @lorispan, why are you asking? Does any reason God gives for failure to hear/heed Him apply to you? [John8:47; John3:20; Rom1:28; 1John3:8; Rom11:8; John12:40; 2Thes2:11-12]

You appear quite judgmental, accusing people you don't even know, and contradicting God [1John3:4-9]. God's Word is judge [John12:48], and He says unrepentant adulteresses like Amy make themselves His enemies [James4:4] and go to hell [1Cor6:9, Heb10:26-27]. Unbelievers like Amy don't believe Him, or they might repent.

  • @unknowned1, what makes a huge difference is where you spend eternity.

From the sounds of the wales and gnashing teeth, nobody likes it where Amy is heading.

  • @1975saigon, nobody here has power to condemn anyone! Amy is condemned by her own sin and disobedience. Maybe there's no "plucking" goin on, just a person who loves adultery more than she loves God, trading any inheritance for a cup of stew. Read what God says at Heb6:4-6!

If that's Amy, she's beyond hope, and we're not even to pray about that [1John5:16].

Heb10:26-27 and 1Cor6:9 definitely describe Amy. The best we could hope for her would be 1John3:6. Read for yourself.

    Amy gets Eph5:6.

  • @DiscoveryArts, please tell us what's lovely about doing the devil's work to destroy marriages and lives of little children like Jenny Gill? What's lovely about leading little ones into sin by using celebrity to model sexual immorality [Mark10:12, Rom7:3, Luke16:18] and blatant disobedience of God's Commandments, including 1Cor7:10-11? Why would God promise Luke17:1-2, Eph5:6, and Matt7:23 to loveliness? Does God prescribe 1Cor6:9 to loveliness? Where's your love for little ones deceived by Amy?

  • @lynda0421 says: Sin is sin!

But God says (1John5:16): If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that.

lynda9421 says: God loves you no matter

But God says (Matt7:23): And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

If Amy's prior claims are true, (Heb6:4-6)!

  • yo, davidbrucemusicvideo, none of the reasons God gives for failure to hear Him and to heed Him are good. Least onerous likely is ignorance because, if not feigned, that may be more easily cured than a deliberate desire to clutch to one's sin while falsely claiming salvation.

Although I cannot attest to the validity of Amy's prior claims, (Heb6:4-6) could describe her, in which case hope is gone. (1John3:6) would be the best-case scenario for Amy because she still could repent of her adultery.

  • @rbca303, if you sin every day, you better shape up and get right with God [Heb10:26-27; 1John3:6].

You also better study what God says about judging [John12:48; 1Cor6:3; John7:24].

But, if your sin is the same as Amy's, you may be beyond recovery [Heb6:4-6; 1Cor6:9].

  • @HeadHunter862, that's an interesting theology you have created out of your own vain imaginings. Too bad it's false!

If God forgave all as you say, there would be no hell, and He would not tell us of unforgivable sins. He wouldn't say don't even pray about some people [1John5:16] and that apostates are beyond recovery [Heb6:4-6]. He wouldn't say that unrepentant adulterers go to hell [Heb10:26-27; 1Cor6:9] and that He gives some people over to the lusts of their hearts and their own counsel.

  • Ask yourself why any unrepentant adulteress would refuse to repent, instead clasping desperately to the sin that condemns her to hell [1Cor6:9][Heb10:26-27], despite all God's clear warnings as to consequences.

None of the reasons given by God's Word are good, whether it is because the adulteress does not believe God, or is a child of disobedience, or has been given up by God to the lusts of her heart, or is deceived (like Eve), or simply loves her sin more than God. Consequences are the same.

  • @thebnaz, it's far worse than your "God doesn't like it." He says that He hates it; He says He hates such "treachery" [Mal2:16] and that such people cover their garments with "violence."

But, it gets far, far worse in that God says that Amy's disobedience in continuing in on-going adultery makes her His enemy [James4:4], and that she has NO inheritance in His Kingdom [1Cor6:9]. She evidences that she does not believe nor love God [John14:23-24], and is assured fiery judgment [Heb10:26-27].

  • hum.....with new age ear rings.....=/

  • God is Love!

  • O the woeful moans of the lost!

While God's enemies [James4:4; 1John3:8] deny God's Word [Mark10:12; Luke16:18; 1Cor7:10-11] and continue to certain fiery judgment [Heb10:26-27], they insist, like the serpent in the Garden, that God does not mean what He says.

But, God means what He says! Including [1Cor6:9] and [Matt7:21-23].

Those who choose to love adultery more than they love God, will discover He truly is holy, righteous, and just as He says [Rev19:11-16]. Babies, read [Heb5:12-14].

  • But, you are wrong, irin42, we do know Amy has NOT repented! Repentance means to turn from sin, and Amy continues in disobedience of God, as she clutches to her adultery. We will know that Amy has repented when she shows that she loves God (as God defines, John 14:21-24) more than she loves her adultery, and she obeys God's Commandment at (1Cor 7:10-11). Otherwise, God says she makes herself His enemy (James 4:4), and she has NO inheritance in His Kingdom (1Cor 6:9). That is God's Word.

  • @topbargainshopper, did you notice that Christ did not cast any stones when He told the adulteress to go and sin no more? He would tell Amy Grant, and every other adulteress, exactly the same thing. Perhaps you'd notice that God's Word tells us Amy Grant remains in an on-going, unrepentant, disobedient state of adultery [Mark10:12;1Cor7:10]. God, not we with no authority, says she has NO inheritance in His Kingdom [1Cor6:9]. Without casting one stone, He will tell such adulteresses [Matt7:23].

  • @loversofpeace69, if you would like to get specific and cite particular Scripture, instead of just offering vapid, unauthoritative, worldly opinions, I would be happy to read it. At the same time, I would recommend that you read (1Cor6:3), (John7:24), (John12:48), (Mark10:12), (1Cor7:10-11), (Rom7:3), (John14:23-24), (1John3:6), (Heb10:26-27), (Matt7:21-23), (James4:4), and (1Cor6:9). That is God speaking, telling you "the way it is," not the way you vainly would like to imagine.

  • goodness me... this sounds like a 14 year old emo kid trying to write a song... terrible voice, terrible lyrics, terrible playing...

  • Somethin's seriously wrong in her heart. I've been a musician for many years and even without watching the video, I can FEEL the anxiety in her voice. Poor woman.

  • yo, swlago, who are the idiots who have pissed you off, and what have they done? I sure wouldn't want to do whatever they have and run afoul of you! Whoa, I'm sure that would be terrible!

But, for all the terror of doing something that pisses you off, I want even less to do whatever it is that pisses off an omnipotent God. Whoa... I think He's got more arrows in His quiver than even you, the self-proclaimed nicest guy on earth.

  • tracycarl99 says: God got past that.

But, God says (Heb10:26-27): For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.

tracycarl99, why don't you believe God? Where is Scriptural support for your belief in redemption without repentance?

Don't you think "little ones" should be warned away from Amy's sin? (Luke17:1-2).

  • @Beev60, no one escapes the consequence of unrepented/unredeemed sin. Perhaps the children of disobedience pay a toll in this life as well as the next. Of course, any price paid for unrighteousness in this life pales compared to the eternal cost of unrighteousness. God says the unrighteous, specifically adulterers (1Cor6:9), have no inheritance in His Kingdom. Perhaps the corrosive effects of remaining in a state of on-going adultery (1Cor7:10-11), (Rom7:3), (Mark10:12) are showing up early.

  • Amy Grant has said that she does not preach nor try to save others. I think that's it and enough. She is just another star making her music career and making a living from it.

  • "Unafraid" ??? I'm afraid that you have faded....we all have struggles and trials as we grow older.... but I just don't "feel it" from your heart/spirit anymore. What's up?

  • @KattKollmer FYI -- I am 2-1/2 yrs. past my original ID nickname #.... I wish Amy well... and pray that "the joy of the Lord" which was her strength in the past, will once again become evident in her singing/videos. We all go thru life's trials--and

  • What's with the anti-christ peace symbol earrings, Amy?

Still like the way passing time is changing your message, but you have faded.....

  • @Beev60 Maybe they are just peace symbols!!! The song is very contemplative -- she is allowed!!

  • @katkollmer I am BeeV60 + 2-1/2 yrs. probly old enough to be YOUR mother! Didn't know she was still poppin' out babies....no wonder she looks wiped out.

  • WOW! sooo comforting!! Thank you Amy!!

  • Well we all get old , thats for sure and yes every day is a day closer to heaven Question I have is Amy grant also Now a member of the Illuminati The ear rings she is wearing are satanic symbols of peace from the early seventies .Any thoughts please respond .Great song Amy just hope it is for God and not well you know who>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • @wealthman777: are you a member of the Illuminati? because as far as i know, 95% of the world acknowledges the shape of her earrings as a very GENERAL symbol for "peace". it may once have been a satanic symbol, hindu symbol (there are many different claims about its origin) etc, but has lost that meaning over time. just like the meanings of words evolve, so do the meanings of symbols. thus, most likely Amy is not a member of the Iluminati.

  • @wealthman777 pick, pick, pick. Question is are you perfect? She mite not know. If you say your never ignorant and always perfect then pick, pick, and pick away.

  • Beautiful lyrics.

  • @HeAbounds

Looking at this video and the new one--it's sad. She left her 1st husband Gary Chapman, who pleaded with her not to leave.(many yrs ago) But she already had taken up with 2nd husband Vince Gill.

What feels wrong about this song is not all the past, but there just isn't any "life" in her singing or emotions in her face.

She was a talented songwriter/singer. I had a couple of her cassettes long ago, but won't buy any CD's. Just a performance obligation; no heart in it.

  • I feel the same way......thank God he sent someone like her

  • thankyou !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful Amy :-)

  • Wow how beautiful. If Amy wrote this it says alot about her heart.

  • There wasn't someone actually there - it was their words.

  • @WoundedEgo she woke up with her husband, Vince Gill.

  • @elliottdebra452 She's a "Ho for Jesus."

  • @elliottdebra452, according to God, she woke up with Janis Gill's husband.

    (Mark 10:12), (1Corinthians 7:10-11), (Romans 7:3).

According to God, she is in an unrepentant, on-going state of adultery, and He says she has no inheritance in God's Kingdom (1Corinthians 6:9).

This looks as if it is a sin leading to death (Hebrews 10:26-27; James 4:4).

Not an enviable place to be!

  • There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. he that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18

  • My name is Amy and My mum played the song 'Fathers eyes' to 'me' when she was pregnant. It was the first song I ever knew.

My lovely mother, she is the best mummy ever.

God bless you and thank you so much for sharing this beautiful version with us.

  • Beautiful song! Actually, its very moving! Makes one face life, and the love we so often take forgranted

  • real.... intimacy with Christ at the end of your life .... in weakness He is strong...watching parents be frail is difficult..

  • is amazing how this woman gets more beautiful every day despite his age.

  • .....feeling the love in your song....love the music

  • Play fat baby. Just kidding. Very nice.

  • Love Amy and Vince God Bless

  • Love U Amy!

  • I saw this guitar in Guitar Stringer and does it really sound this good I think its called "Ovation" its really odd but does it really produce that much sound or just a sweet mellow tone.

  • Haha sorry bro, that's not an Ovation:) Ovation's usually have carbon fibre backs and its curved to give it a better electronic tone. That's a McPherson, I know cos i have one of those babies, and it's sweet:) But the prices of those aren't so sweet. When you've got one of those, you don't really need to buy another acoustic ever. I'm guessing she got an Engelmann Spruce 3.5xp

  • @ianamores

this might be late idk but its actually called mcpherson

they are really expensive but sound 10 x better than ovations

  • Absolutely beautiful. Amy just gets better and better.

  • She's beautiful.

I'm not a Christian, but I've had a crush on her for years.

    Can't believe she's almost 50.

  • I agree. She is is beautiful, also at heart .

  • Beautiful, brought tears to my eyes...

  • words for my children. thanks

  • amy grant ... never forgotten... wishing to meet you before life's end... love you amy...

  • Amy is the best...She has been asked to write 21 songs for the Broadway Production of Elvis and the Shoe Shine Kings. I lnow the songs will be awesome.

    A Taylor

  • beautiful

  • I think her lyrics are so true to life. I really like that she is so honest with who she is and doesn't try to act "perfect" and put up a false face. These lyrics are some of her most honest. I always have and always will respect her. I grew up on her music too, but I found it through the radio with Baby Baby back in the early 90's at the tender age of 7 and have loved her ever since. I own all of her albums and most of her B-sides. I don't care about her past, just her honesty and music.

  • I agree with you, and it's nice to see refreshing things about Amy Grant, rather than the whol divorce thing which happened 10 years ago and people should really just leave it alone and move on. She is an excellent singer, writer, communicator, and a wonderful human being. Those that cannot see that need to really get rid of the hate in their lives and start living on love.

  • Just wonderful!

  • i like Emigrant guitar beautiful voice

  • trace bundy has a guitar like that!

  • Thanks for sharing, I love Amy!
