There are real SSBDS games, they're just not official. Peole have ported Melee and the original SSB to the DS using homebrew and moonshell, it's also been done with OOT, so technically all the SSBDS games are real, they're just not official and they require personal modifications.

There is a really good SSBDS Right now, with WiFi multiplayer and everything, but it's a homebrew game, so you'll need an R4 or other flashcart. There could very well be an SSB game for the 3DS, Seeing as how Nintendo has made the first handheld Paper Mario for it.

Having an S.S.B.DS would be sweet, but it's not possible AS OF RIGHT NOW!!

The nintendo ds runs at nearly 70mhz while the nintendo 64 runs at nearly 90mhz. (I bring up the n64 since most of these "tease video's" show S.S.B. for n64) Which would mean that S.S.B.DS would have worse graphics and potency than S.S.B. for n64, and no (normal) company would try to sell a game with fighting colored squares. BUT!!! if the new 3DS has higher speeds (which it will) then it would be able to run ssb smoothly

DS came on the scene lookin like a portable N64 with super mario 64 DS & whatnot and then they start making a bunch of touch interactive GBA style games. SM64 uses the same 3d engine as Zelda:Ocarina of time & Majoras Mask so theres no technical reason they can't port those, sales would be massive. SSB64 even easier.. just my opinion though, don't want to annoy any DS fans. i understand it is what it is & the games are still fun

It is possible. I mean the DSi and DS are both perfect for the game, well except, for one thing, I wouldn't know how you would jump or anything. Unless you use X and Y as your buttons to jump and stuff. B and A could be for your attacks. the control panel could be for moving around. Don't really know what the L and R would be good for though. Personally I think the next SSB game should have more characters in it. Koopa Troopa, Bowser Jr. Well because Browser Jr., has his magic paint stick thing.

There is a Super Samsh Bros. Ds game coming out. BUT it is not an official one. Rather, the "box art" that you showed that re-used the Brawl graphics is the "box art" for the fan-made version. Of course, seeing as to how this was made back in 2008 doesn't surprise me either. :l

your questions where wrong it is not if it is possable to put a SSB game on the NDS, The question is if it is going to be made by nintendo or not now with the NDSI we are getting closer to a professionally made SSB game ported onto the NDS, but the chances of it happening are slim.

The graphics of the homebrew game is going to be sprites and little if any textures or models.

here is What I have analyzed from the DSi. Since I can play with all four types of controls on Brawl I noticed this... On the Nes Version (the wii mote on its side) The smash attacks were simply done the ordinary way, Right or Left + A (Hold for charge). And the Classic Control style resembles the DSi a,b,x,y. So yeah the controls aren't a problem. Just Hasn't come out yet. But the controls don't have anything to do with it.

Its 2009. The DS has crossed its point of glory. The best games came out during 2005-2007. I don't think they'll make a SSBDS now, but I really wish they did. The controls would've been just fine, and the graphics would've been good, cuz the DS can handle very good 3D graphics, its just that very few of the games have graphics like that (eg: Metroid Prime Hunters, Mario Kart DS, Mario Hoops: 3on3, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days).

There was recently a very good game released for the DS called Zelda Spirit Tracks, and it has good graphics. The DS has more controls than the wiimote itself, so the graphics and the controls are not a problem. That, and MKDS proves that it can handle fast-paced action wirelessly with a single card. What they should do is FPS/OoT/SM64 style SSB for the DS, so that you actually don't feel like it's a platformer. But then the controls will become more complex, so that isn't a good idea.

They had to give it good graphics cuz its actually a sequel to the Phantom Hourglass......... de Blob, which was a really good game (and one of the best 3rd party games on the wii for quite a while) is coming to the DS.
