You can play online by yourself, you can join other people online to form a band and you can verus other people online.

The three types of bundles you can buy are:

Game only

Guitar bundle: Game & Guitar

Super bundle: Game, Guitar, Drums and Mic

The game doesnt looks as clean as RB2 but RB2 is RB1 with new songs except for the drum trainer and the online band world tour, other than that RB2 is exactly like RB1. GH:WT You can make your own songs and you can download other peoples songs and you can battle other bands online!

People arguing about this makes me sick. Guitar Hero redefined the music rythm game. Rock Band took the idea even further. RB2 was sadly more of the same. GHWT is delivering yet the next evolutionary push forward. They are both great franchises that have more playablility then any other gam, and the play awesome. There is no need for this constant battle when it is complete and utter nonsense to which a conclusion WILL NEVER be drawn.

here's a problem if you get both games you have to get two different sets of drums since they are different set ups. so if you own rock band you can't just go rent GHWT and play the drums

See, I've given up on Guitar Hero. I will admit though, one thing they did get right...the instruments. I plan on buying the bundle for GHWT, and the disc for RB2, since the instruments will work for it. I mean, I'll give world tour a shot, but right now it's just...bleh.
