I totally disagree. I've been a fan of Jason's from day one when I saw him on The Bachelorette. Yes he shouldn't have publicly dumped Melissa on TV, but he did what he had to do. He's been hurt before, being rejected by Bachelorette DeAnna, and he just didn't want to get hurt again. Now that he has changed paths and chosen Molly, I think they are such a sweet couple and they really do just suit each other. Come on guys just give the guy a break, he only wants what's best for him and his son, Ty.

I am sure that Melissa is a geat girl like Molly is, and i know that it is probably very very very easy to get swept away in the moment. The producers of the show have stated that Jason was under NO contractual obligation to break up with Melissa on tv like that. So he tried to pass the blame to someone other than himself first. And he has even admitted that. I like Molly, I have from the beginning, but the way he disrespected Melissa is just terrible. I think what upsets so many people is he seemed like such a genuine guys and then he went and did a really, really shitty thing.

You should watch REALITYSTEVE's video he did before AFTER THE FINAL ROSE aired. He knew Jason was going to break up with Melissa and choose Molly because he had INSIDE information. He also talked about the producers planning the whole ending from the beginning. They literally told Jason that if he wanted Molly he would have to choose Melissa! Everything realitysteve said was very detailed and accurate. And it all makes sense. Look at the ratings. Of course Jason has to defend the producers, duh.

Also, the game wasn't over. They signed up for the show and anything that happens up to and including After The Final Rose has to be in front of the camera, good or bad. I disagree, when you enter a reality show to get engaged and have to date various women in a short period of time, mistakes are bound to happen. The flaw I seen with Jason's logic, was living for the moment rather than the overall picture. I knew Jason was in love with Molly, because he never wanted to leave her, nor get enough of her. He did the right thing to break up with Melissa who will eventually find a guy of her dreams!

Stacie - two things are really happening here. One is Jason's tact... very tasteless to NOT discuss this with Mel as they are going through their 6 weeks... There must have been something else we didnt see, she didnt want to move to Seattle, etc. But he should have communicated his thoughts before the show!

Second is his strength in doin the right thing in breaking it off with Mel. He should not stay with her just because of pressure from the show - so he did the right thing on that front.

This season was too dramatic to be enjoyable. Too much hype ~ the network strung us along for the whole season with the clip of Deanna and Jason which actually didn't show until the end. Why did the network ask Deanna back? DRAMA! I blame the network more than Jason for the unfortunate televised breakup. It will most likely be my last season for this show.
