The Afghan army is improving every day. In recent operations the Taliban have been flushed from their normal areas of operation. They have less and less breathing room by the month. The Afghan army is going to double in size and provide room for the Afghan government to strengthen providing jobs for the people. This is the future. The US has a long term investment in the people of Afghanistan and no punk ass bitch like yourself is going to change US foreign policy.

@suarezjaguar I agree with the sentiment, but you're details are a little off. Unocal, part of the consortium CentGas, never actually got a pipeline built. It doesn't exist as of yet. "Negotiations" with the Taliban fell apart. Afghanistan is sill of great interest to many countries because of Caspian Sea energy resources. Unocal, or more correctly Chevron was a member in building the Baku-Tiblisi pipeline through Azerbijan and Turkey, an alternate route to bring out Caspian sea resources.

Although I would again make another generalization that poorer countries tend to be more religious and personally if I was a lot poorer I would be more likely to pick up a gun and fight for some cause I thought represented my needs, if I also honestly believed I'd be rewarded and live eternally in paradise afterwards I wouldn't hesitate to do so. On balance I feel that you're right, poverty is the cause of the fire, religion a fuel on it.

These soldiers should inch their way across the country on foot backed by support from tanks and personnel carriers, Holding the land that they have covered. The Afghan army is improving every day. In recent operations the Taliban have been flushed from their normal areas of operation. They have less and less breathing room by the month. The Afghan army is going to double in size and provide room for the Afghan government to strengthen providing jobs for the people. This is the future. The US has a long term investment in the people of Afghanistan and no punk ass bitch like yourself is going to change US foreign policy.
