PJ Trailers are made in Mexico.... They use burros and by standers to load cars onto trailers there.... sometimes VW beetles help push too. This isn't racist... I've seen it done!
I own an 18ft. PJ trailer 10,500 lb capacity car hauler. It's got "Made in Mexico" on the VIN sticker and in 3 other places too along the frame. Mine was built in 2006 though. There's nothing wrong with that.... If it was built in my home state in the USA it would still be built by Mexican born citizens. (Pretty sure) Mexicans are hard working get'r done types.
Actually they do have a plant in Mexico, as well as here in the US.
I think you're right, a lot of Mexicans are in the factory jobs. Yes they do work hard. I think our younger generation could learn a thing or 2 from a good work ethic.
I welded Some 2" ID square tube to the front rail on mine (non tilting) and welded a 2" OD draw bar to the winch cradle. That way I can quickly add or remove a winch so the winch is out of the way to move family friends etc, but be there for hauling cars and tool boxes etc when I need it. Plus I can use the winch in my trucks receiver too.
We have some customers modify their new trailers with a fixed winch, a gently suggest that if they do what you just said, it would be a much better value for them. Most don't do it.??
True, (TowingTransport) you did build a tilt deck CAR HAULER, which looks like a copy of the same as the one this company manufactures.
This trailer is a DECK-OVER, which could be used for cars, but is best for wide equipment such as a tractor.

I built my own car haulers in 1998 for commercial use and I can tell you the loading angle shown here is way too steep.

That is exactly what I do.
Why have 2 winches.
