  • what is the song in the 1st 12 seconds of this video?

  • shit my old house in the back ground gonna love dan miller

  • This video is awesome. I love them guys.

Oh and by the way...I'm also a long time Green Day fan..just saying, I'm not downsizing anyone's opinion, but it's about the music, not how many fans create this sort of hype about them being hipsters. I've listened to GD since the beginning and I have to say, their music is amazing. The same goes with the Stripes.

  • 2:19 epic

  • Best performance of

Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground

I've ever heard... better than the studio !!

  • Dead Leaves always makes me said even though I prefer it over Seven Nation Army

  • DEAD LEAVES LIVE WITH THE ORGINAL MELODY!!

    unheard of.

  • haha. yep, there are actually, like, 2 others, one is from empty bottle..i think. I prefer the upbeat live version though

  • I WISH I SAW THIS ON DUTCH TV!!

  • Where can you get this movie ??

  • upload the whole movie shayc

  • he looked like micheal cera for a second

  • Hey Tim010987

Do you really think he would want to stay under ground when all these huge opportunities are presented to him. I've seen him today and he still have integrity if not more than he did and hes just getting better and better. So fuck off and rip on someone else, like the fag from Greenday or Gerard Way.

  • Greenday = sellout. I think it's obvious. The really difference is that Jack White actually has talent.

  • Tim...you are an idiot. Obviously you have never experienced success and you definitely are not a musician of any kind. Always with success comes new opportunities. No one can resist that. Besides, musicians like to do new things all the time.

  • Making the theme song for a 007 movie is hardly selling out, its not like he dished out some mindless crap, that song took real composition skills. But just because its a duet with an RnB singer, suddenly its crap? God forbid anyone try anything new or appreciate different types of music.

  • And he was a coke fan before the company asked him to write for them.

Doing what you love is hardly selling out.

But of course emo pissants like you would rather people stay unsuccessful and miserable like yourself.

I can't stand the ridiculous mentality that if something is popular its bad. Stop trying to be an anti conformist, if you weren't so concerned about what other people were listening to you'd notice Jack is still the blues churning genius he was 8 years ago.

  • It's comment like this that have 'indie culture' written all over it. You are one mindless hipster if you think that because someone took an opportunity you think they're not worth it anymore. If you were in Jack's shows would you seriously have refused the Bond theme? Yeah right. Like anyone would do that. People have just begun to appreciate them more. That doesn't mean they're not worth it. It means you should be proud to stand up and say you remember the days before they were big.

  • Jack and Meg will be legendary for a variety of reasons. But the fact that they were once married and divorced before the band really got popular... it is extraordinary that they kept the band going as long as they have. Some of us think perhaps there was more to them that we will ever know, but that is something between Jack and Meg.

  • i think also that it's really amazing how much has happened between them and now and yet it's only six years which isn't that long at all for us but is a really long time for someone in music to stick around considering how anyone can have their five minutes of fame nowadays and the white stripes is fast becoming a legend.

i think it would have been great if jack and meg stayed together but if it would impact personal happiness then i guess not.

I so get what they mean about england.

  • LOL NIIIIIIICE

  • What really is amazing about this video is just how far and how successful The White Stripes have become in 6 years....her they are in 11/01 tooling around in some POS van....now look at Jack, arguably the premier rock star on the planet today....alot can happen in 6 years....tremendous....

  • Well put. it is amazing and wonderful and they are my favs... the sad thing to me is, that Meg and Jack are now divorced after this whirlwind. He's remarried and now has two babies with a famous runway model Karen Olsen from Manchester England. Meg White is rumoured to have severe anxiety disorder and can't perform. Right now as it stands, it doesn't sound like the fame has been good for Meg White, the critical half of The White Stripes. Jack started the Raconteurs now anyway to cover.

  • i both agree and disagree with you...i think Jack formed the Raconteurs as a natural extension for his creativity...who knows about Meg, as she is intensely private...i Google her name often, and absolutely nothing...please note that Jack and Meg divorced prior to achieving fame and status...also, I recently read that Jack, not unlike the Beatles, would be content with producing another WS album, but not touring to support...life goes on...

  • Actually, your reply was very informative. I wasn't aware they were divorced prior to their serious fame and life does go on, no doubt. Yours is a pragmatic approach. Mine was speaking from that irrational childish voice from within that wants "Mom and Dad back together".. kinda thing. Oh well. I don't know them, but I wish them all the Love they deserve.

  • I wish in a way they remarried, too. They're so cute together, and so sexy. But they were really young at the time of their marriage, and I guess things just didn't work out in that way. I'm glad they are friends and partners at least.

  • What year was this documentary released?

  • 2001

  • Anyone from Tha D figure out what roads they're driving on?

  • thats awesome I love these guys.

  • Who are the White Stripes? What rock do you live under?

  • sign me up

  • awsome song, too bad this performance his guitar was a little out of tune. oh well.

  • one of the best songs of all time easy

  • This is the greatest!!! Thanks!!

  • this must have been right before they hit big with fell in love with a girl

  • They were already big when dead leaves broke, they played it on SNL along with we are gonna be friends

  • yeah man, i remember, john mccain hosted

  • Is that the one where McCain threatened to start singing Barbara Streisand songs if she continued trying to do HIS job without being elected? lol I dont like McCain much as a weasely politician but he is at least more humorous than Al Gore (but then so is a stinky sock).

  • yeah this is a white stripes video, not a john mccain video

  • why they're the people in the video u silly goose

  • Al Gore had a great sense of humor. He played himself on Futurama. He wasn't uptight about it, he just went and did it and had a great time.

  • love it!

  • where did you find this documentary? I've seen videos all over youtube starring "Arthur" their faux-manager... is this the same documentary?

  • fantastic

  • brilliant!!

  • dead leaves sounds awesome

  • these are some awesome videos shayc has..wow
