  • I've read only good things about Brooklyn Brewery.

  • god, i love brooklyn brewery so much. have you had there penant ale? great. I got to get one of these black ops.

  • @ilushny I have not had their pennant ale, but I like almost everything they brew. Black Ops is a tough one to get, but if you can find it, grab several and cellar a few

  • @beeramerica If you guys go to NYC you should go to Rattle and Hum they have it on tap there. Brooklyn really dosen't make a bad beer, every thing i have had has been excellent.

  • Brooklyn's Chocolate Stout is stunning. I must try this Black Ops before I die.

  • I have been letting my bottle sit in the cellar for about a month, waiting for the right moment to pop it open.

  • It's good, funny thing is, you won't find it listed on the Brooklyn Brewery website! I just got another bottle (I think he brewed a second batch) and I'm going to cellar it! Thanks for the post!

  • Brooklyn is one of the best breweries in America, and especially in NY. You gotta admire their ballsiness.

It's a myth that stouts are heavy. Guinness has the same stats as Bud Light (well almost). Really only imperial stouts are heavy. Oatmeal and milk stouts are surprisingly medium body.

I'd love to try this one. Have you had their hopfen wiesse they did with Schneider?

    Great video, guys!

  • I still have yet to try the Hopfen weisse...

  • I'm with you Chad. Actually a fun thing to try is to get a bottle each of both Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse (brewed at Brooklyn) and Schneider-Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse (brewed at Schneider) and compare them.

  • I've reviewed both on my channel (not at the same time, though). Will be doing a re-review of the Brooklyn version soon

  • D'oh! Should have looked first. Do try the dual tasting though. You can really learn a lot about hop flavor.

Another fun dual tasting is Stone IPA and Stone Cali-Belgique. Exact same base beer but the Cali-Belgique is fermented with a Belgian yeast strain. You can tell a lot about yeast flavors.

And then one more I'd like to do here ... Victory HopDevil and Victory Wild Devil. Same base beer but Wild Devil uses brettanomyces.
