The pope keeps trying to interfere in American politics by threatening to excommunicate pro-choice American politicians while catholics in northern irelend and in Mexico have been commiting acts of violence and terrorism yet the pope has been silent. Why does he not stop the violence when he could? Maybe because the a-hole pope is a scumbag.

@mrtigerboy444 Wow, I really appreciate that. I do believe intellectual honesty is way more important than sticking to an ideology no matter where the evidence leads. If someone can prove to me that the unborn are not human, I am no longer pro-life. It has nothing to do with biblical argumentation.

@mrtigerboy444 Well, I'm a pro-life atheist (in fact, I identify as an antitheist), so I can attest that it's possible to be pro-life and not believe in a god, gods, a goddess, or goddesses.

As for the term "anti-choice", I find that term offensive and entirely meaningless. For more details, see my video "The Euphemisticness of Pro-choice".

It's definitely not a religious issue (as pro-abortion-choicers would assert), but a scientific one, and to a minor extent, a philosophical one. In fact, one of the greatest pro-lifers who ever lived, Professor A.W. Liley, was an atheist.

First of all it doesn't even sound real, it sounds like the dude just wrote everything out exactly to make it seem like 1 guy couldn't answer anything and in fact gave the other guy ammo lol the conversation would have been better had he had the debate with someone more eloquent than the writing makes him appear.

secondly, people keep talking about defects, without talking about americas ridiculous healthcare system, what happens if the parents cant afford it? is that not more cruel??

I think there's a little more to consider about fetal defects than the fetus being less than perfect. Some fetal defects, such as trisome 22 for example, result in severe deformation, often leading to spontaneous abortion, and rarely result in a child born alive if carried to term. Attempting to carry to term could be a severe risk for the health of the mother and may even result in her death. Women have a right to know these risks.

That said, I'm not sure why such an exhibit would exist.

Yeah, trisome 22 is a horrible one. There is a really emotional youtube video about that: search "choosing thomas." I think if the baby is severely threatening the woman's life, that she should have the right to request whatever medical intervention will save her life. (even if as an unintended result, the baby will die.) I don't know any pro-lifers that disagree. Either 1 or 2 will die. What's more pro-life? That only 1 dies! I don't think childbirth is always that dangerous though.

I saw a worse bumper sticker once. It said 'If Mary was pro-choice, there would be no Christmas.'

There are so many things wrong with this statement I don't even know where to start.

I can't think of any similarly poorly thought out pro-choice stickers, but then again where I live I'm considerably less likely to see any pro choice stickers at all.

Oh my GOSH that is such a retarded bumper sticker on so many levels. That's come up on episode 21 of our podcast, on "the 4 weakest pro-life bumper stickers ever." You'd probably enjoy that one quite a bit. lol.
