I've been back to the USA for 4 times and one of my old friends in collegue asked me if my ancestors were Native Americans. She was a daugther of a Native American medicine man. It's got a really hard board on the back of it. Mine had detailed bead work and was made also from real hide. My Son loved it. For me, to try carry it on my back for a while, because of the hard board, it was not comfortable. But in ancient times, that is all they had.
