does this work on transitioning hair ? or can you provide some styles that works well on transitioning hair because im 13 years old and its hard finding cute styles that i can wear to school and looks pretty....PLEASE HELP
I loveee this. I'm about to try this. I haven't had a perm since november nd my hair is long nd outta control. Ima try this. Thanks hun, its really cute!
You're so gorgeous! Thank you for taking time out or your life to show all us randoms how to do these styles. I am just barely transitioning and I have never been one to know how to do my hair but started this on my dry hair and I could see good results immediately! Thank youuuu!
you can do this for relaxed hair right.. because i have relaxed hair its long enough.. but i want the full effect n i hardly know how to do my own hair im only 15..
do have any suggestions on girls who are trying to go natural? i decided today that i wanted to natural but i don't want to cut all my hair off, so i'm going to just grow it out. Do you know what products would be best to use! Thanks! Love your videos!
I tried to do this last night, all bad :/ It seemed I was pulling out hair... I did not use your tips... But I am wondering what went wrong, perhaps I should have waited until it was a lil drier? Or perhaps my hair is a lil too weak?
How do u grab the hair idk which way i should twisy nd which fingers am i supposed to use to grab the hair nd how much hair am i supposed to grab im so confused :(
Thank you for doing this. I am trying it tonight and am pleased so far. :) Thanks. Your hair is beautiful though anyway. You also look like Sanaa Lathan.

I ended up doing the twists on my dread locs. Your tip about holding my hands 90degrees to my head helped so much. My hair looks fab! I used wen products I highly recommend wen.
hi it looks like your salon is in a "sola salon"...i live in colorado (where they started)...i am 2yrs natural now and I am looking for someone who is familiar with "natural hair styles"...i would actually like for you to do my hair...is that possible?
My mom and I was trying sooo hard to do a good twist out, after your video we instantly got it! Your video is THE Best!! Thank you so much for posting
OMG...I love you!!! I have very thick fine hair(I am mixed...black and white) and I try to wear my hair naturally curly but because it is so thick it ends up kinda poofy curly if you know what I mean. But this style absolutely worked for my hair. Thank you!!!
i would like to know do you have natural curly hair already because i dont want to twist my hair up like that and be dissa pointed but you my dear have a head full of beautiful hair its so nice to see ayoung lady who is beautiful both inside and out keep inspiring us god bless! misshotgun
@FalafellFo Lol that's why she said they don't have to be neat.. She was showing how to get a curly look. It's the same as spending time to roller set--you take the rollers out to get the great curls. But if you make neat ones you can leave them in.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I love your style of instruction, it's very clear and easy to understand. I have question. How do you maintain that style when it's time to sleep? Do you re-twist the hair? Or, can you go to bed in a bonnet? What is your preferred method? Thanks again! Love your videos!
now is this your natual hair or is it permed or is your hair just straightish?? im sorry im 14 and trying to learn hair styles btw your realy pretty with that look
Thanks for the video! I found the link on the Long Hair Care Forum.
I tried this style last night on a whim. It was difficult twisting at first because I had never done it before but I got the hang of it. Overall, the style came out okay. I will def try again!
another suggestion for securing the ends for relaxed ends would be putting it into a bantu knot! Just saying.... how do you maintain this kind of style overnight?
when drying your hair under the dryer what should the heat setting be, and also when i had a relaxer i would do this to my hair. All natural now & my hair is lil past my shoulder & a little more curler were its comes to my shoulder when wet. Can i blowdry my hair first then apply product so I could keep my length? Ive also have wore my hair straight & then maybe a wk later as it got naturally oily applied a water based pomade & braided my hair & it came out very pretty.
I love your video and have tried the style at home. I am having a couple of problems. The first is the crown of my head..IT NEVER COMES OUT RIGHT! It always looks dry and the coils are not right. Second how on eath do you sleep on it? I've tried a bonnet, do rag, satin scarf. In the morning it's always frizzy. HELP!
@DETROITPHOENIX1 I've done this style as well as braidouts a few times and havent had any problems. I can usually go 3-4 days w/o rebraiding/retwisting. What kind of products are you using?
@MsChanteJ72 I have tried a a few different things. Conditioner, kinky curly curling custard, plain old water and olive oil (best result). I just went out and bought the products she is using in this video so we will see how they come out the next time. BTw how do you sleep on your hair?
Hi! I love how your videos are so explanatory. The first time I seen one of your videos, I didn't know you were a natural. That been said, can you do a video on tips on transitioning from relaxed to natural. I don't know if you have ever had a relaxer but if you can suugest styles to wear before doing the "big chop". I usually wear my hair in a bun. Anything will be appreciated.
Great video! I understood what you meant as far as grabbing the hair as you pull it back and keeping your hands up high and on top. I'm going to practice rollersetting today but when I co-wash I think I'll try this method.

@fettucciniful yes! it'll be slippery, but you can set your hair the same way that an african american would. You have to make sure you stay under the dryer until its totally dry or you'll have a frizzy mess!
omg soooo pretty. i wanna try but i dont have those products. is it like hard when its finished or really soft or just stiff? and what do i do with my edges? they not as good as yours lol
I wanted to know about Just 5 min dye! I doesn't wash out as fast. And since I switched to dk brown not black. My hair is green for six months. But this last time it didn't cover as well. What did I do wrong? I washed it out after 5 minutes.
Ur new name is The Hair Chef!..lol 'cooken up some GOOUUD hair!' lol..:) u help SOO much..I feel like ive been so CRUEL to my hair after watching your videos haha..aw.poor hair..ok well THANKS for all of thes vids! :)
