The taxes generally are put towards good things, I must be candid I have lost faith in US government after how much money we owe to china, however man is most successful not by himself but in numbers. To be honest some people need to be lead or "controlled" in order to function and benefit society. But it works both ways, the elite could view those who can not pay taxes as parasites.
