I was thinking about putting chains on my Pathfinder tires even with 4 wheel drive as long as I know I'll be in sink holes and loose dirt most of the trip. Another trick is to take some heavy rope and tie a 4x4 block of wood through an opening in the rim. Airing down is always wise when going off road! I think everyone has been in this situation.. we learn new tricks and come prepared as a result. No thanks on Mojave greens! Snake guards are a must.. they save you serious agony, possibly death!
Let's see, your car can sink into the sand and strand you in the middle of nowhere, you can get bit by a rattlesnake or stung by a scorpion..... hmm, is this worth it?

Any time spent out that way is well worth it, even if it is just looking up.

I hate it when the jack is not straight up anymore too. How much paint was removed?
From the looks of it, you needed more rocks up front of the tire unless you intended to back out.
Leave the locals alone.

That is not a 4-wheel drive vehicle. I have a 1952 M38A1. Keyser-Fraiser / Willys-Overland. Solid axles, no differentials. Not made for highway use.

O man. People and their inexperience driving on sand.
All you have to do is air down.
Check out my channel for some videos of my truck on sand.
