  • Love his stone face while the reporter is listing his achievements

  • A really good interview, well paced and excellent questions.

  • I've always enjoyed hearing Sonny speak, always something to learn.

  • good interview; but Sonny, do you still care about "sexual pleasure"? I would not have the balls to ask him that, but I wonder.

  • This interview is so insightful and such a blessing...

Sonny is a true legend, much love and respect to him...

  • That was such an awesome interview! I wish it was an hour or two longer.

  • Sonny's the man. The interviewer is excellent/ Thanks.

  • No dislikes for a good reason.... Live on Sonny

  • Monk was the real shit. Dizzy and Bird stole Monks shit and didn't give him credit. Dizzy even stole Monks fashion style.( the berret and thick horn glasses)

  • That was very enjoyable. Thanks.

  • Sonny's analysis of the drug/artist situation was quite honest and accurate. He is such a giant influence and talent, and,at the same time, such a wonderful, humble, humorous man. Great job!!

  • It's funny how our(lovers of jazz) heroes like Sonny Rollins and other jazz musicians are very accessible. There won't be heavy security or anything ridiculous like that and you have good chances of having a little chat with them at some point in time..... Whereas being a fan of a pop star....chances are you'll never get to meet them, much less chat with them.

  • great interview. thanks a lot!

  • Fantastic interview, and thanks to Sonny Rollins for a lifetime of great music...one of the best ever!

  • Bless you Sonny.

  • this should get a few million views, not that fake billy noname bob guy

  • That was one of the most intimate interviews i've ever seen with a true artist such as Sonny Rollins fantastic job

  • I really enjoyed this wonderful interview with Sonny Rollins! Thank you.

  • One of the last of the giants. Total respect, and great interview Jian.

  • Fantastic interview. Really enjoyed it.

  • thx for the up!

  • Gotta go practicing now... What a man!

  • Fantastic interview. Great job Jian. :-)

  • Amazing interview, even the great subject was appreciative.

I only wish Jian asked about his relationship with Monk.

  • What a man! I hope I bump into him some day in NYC.

  • Great interview - what a humble man, gotta love him as a person and a musician.

  • I liked your questions and not reacting to his comments about altered states and creativity as being politically incorrect. i know Dizzy Gillespie liked his cannabis as did Louis Armstrong and they were no worse for wear.

  • When this aired, I don't remember the little story about W.E.B. Du Bois being a part of the broadcast. Pity Jian didn't ask a follow-up question, because it's amazing to think Sonny actually knew Du Bois (one of the most important intellectuals of the early 20th century) personally.

  • Oh man, listen to jazz. trust me.

  • You wouldn't get jazz music. Hockey players fist fighting each other is the kind of entertainment you'd be into.

  • Yep, you're onto me, you've summed me up completely. Hockey fights is all I enjoy. I live for them. That's all I'm about.

  • @canadianmaple09 I heard of one Celine Dion... I wish I hadn't. xD

  • @canadianmaple09 yes, we do.

  • listen to sonny rollins vol. 2 on blue note, it's intense and powerful. with mega monster monk on piano.

  • :O !!

  • One of the greatest...!

  • sweeet
