Yeah not entirely sure how you're supposed to line the poles in the game up as a 3x3 grid, it's not laid out as such nor does they connect in such a manner. at what angle should i be looking at the poles cause i've tried looking at it from the north and east with no success.

@ZombieEater73 if you look at 0:46 thats the way you should be looking as if you were the one in the middle and the one behind is the one at the top.

I solved it once not knowing what I was doing/did, but didn't click on the ship, spent hours trying to figure it out, then I found this and got it done in minutes. Even told a guild member that about this video and he got it done in minutes.

i literally spent hours trying to complete this puzzle. me and my cousin were playing on my laptop while writing down puzzle and trying to figure it out for 2 hours while i friends went around killing the monsters. we eventually gave up.

@dungeonkep go up on the hill there so you can have a better view then arrange the puzzle and the answer will be the right one.

I actually spent 4 hours in game trying to solve it, went up on a mountain in game and graphed the puzzle on on paper, found a set of solutions and a set of rules that have to be met in order for a solution to be found, was able to create multiple complex puzzles based on the same set of rules, contacted my professor that i may have come out with a new theory...

and then i visited your video.

Thank you for this, it was extremely helpful and allowed me to complete the puzzle with ease. The puzzle actually reminded me of the prisoner cages in the Imperial Base on Taris (from Kotor) but with the 3x3 grid and the way you are oriented to it (being inside it), it made it more difficult, at least for me. So again, thank you.
