is there a difference between Cenk's 'Wa Siktir' phrase, and the similarily-sounding 'Wa Sikta Bulta Uda' (or something like that) excerpt from Gladiator??

I would have assumed they were the same words, but the glossary says 'Wa Siktir' is turkish, while the bit from Gladiator is a germanic

Dude, scientists will really publish any kind of crap to get paid. Seriously? "5-1 ratio of positive to negative communication in order to be happy?" Now that's just stupid, the causal relationship is bogus. Couples have pet names and positive conversations because they're happy and their relationship is healthy, not the other way around.

Yeah... no. I cherish scientific knowledge more than you can imagine. I have the greatest respect for research (whatever the field). I just can't stand sham studies like this one. This wasn't a rant against science, but against hastily published works which lead to illogical conclusions for the sole purpose of "publishing something". This is a REAL problem in the scientific community, ignoring it is just naive.
