Since the colonial rule, we, as a country have developed the most successful democracy in the world, we give (percentagely) more aid than anybody else, and we try to help - Now we are not just screwing everyone else over for our own benefit, it would be better if Africa joined the Commonwealth of Nations - its fixable. Quite honestly, the problems in Africa are all a result of colonialism, and more importantly, the backlash against colonialism within Africa.

Quite rightly they wanted their independance, but unfortunately, systems put in place (like deliberately keeping tribes apart in order to quell rebellion by the french) meant that Africa was and still is not able to look after itself. In their attempt for liberty, they made anarchy.
