whats funny is that kristen is like ive never worked with dakota , but i guess she didnt realize they were in the same short film Cutlass. i find that like kinda a wierd thing

Sandy passed away in 2006, and Jackie and Lita didn't want to be involved. Lita isn't really speaking to Joan and Cherie. That's why the movie was based off of Cherie's book. Her and Joan are great friends, so that's why they both are so involved with the movie.

If you ever saw Drew Barrymore in Grey Gardens, this is the feeling of surprise I'd like to see from Dakota, because Drew BLEW me away in that. I couldn't believe how exactly like Little Edie she was in it, and when I first started watching I was ready to be disappointed--but then had the complete opposite reaction :)

I looked up Taylor Momsen and I agree with you that she looks more like Cherie Currie and would possibly be a better choice, but, Dakota Fanning's more well know and would maybe draw more people to the film. I've never watched Gossip Girl. Anyway, let us know when you find out who's playing Lita Ford.

i don't think she is a bad actress, I just think she is wrong for this part. i'm a huge Dakota fan, but I just feel protective of a movie like this. You want it to be gritty and real ya know? And not in a new way, but in a 'how it should be' way.

Thanks for responding. I think Dakota Fanning is perfectly capable of playing Cherie Currie. She's extremely mature and talented. This posting led me to searching other videos of the Runaways and Cherie Currie. I found one of Cherie and her sister, Marie performing on Sha Na Na's old program. They also do a decent version of Russ Ballard's Since You've Been Gone. Check it out and let me know when you find out who's playing Lita Ford. Thanks again.
