That was the best NFC title game I had ever seen. I'm from MN and even though they lost it did not feel nearly as bad as when they lost in 1998 to the Falcons. Saints were a respectable team and deserved to win the super bowl that year. Favre gave MN the best season of football we've seen since Randal Cunningham. Favre could have retired that season but he came back to try and give MN fans another shot. Greatest QB of all time!

He has one Super Bowl in which he was MAYBE the 3rd best player for the Packers that day. He went into that game with the number 1 Defense in the NFL. If Howard does not win MVP, it would have gone to Reggie White and his 3 sack dominant performance.

Rodgers also broke Favre's single-season team record for passing yards and TDs and set the NFL record for passer rating. Rodgers has a rating over 100 in 3 of his 4 starting seasons. Favre only did that once and it wasn't with the Packers. Solid line? 151 sacks in 4 seasons is a solid line?

Joe Montana is arguably the best QB ever also and he did not have as good of stats as Rodgers either. It is the ability to make big plays at crucial moments that defines a QB more than stats. 1985 Jim McMahon had the best play of any single season QB ever yet his rating was not exceptional that year.

He put up really good numbers that year. In 1985, Jim McMahon threw 15 TDs and 11 INTs. I don't know how that is considered the best play of any single season QB ever. @GreenDay1981 A great QB is one who can win games against extreme odds when it counts. Something that can't be measured with stats alone. Montana and Favre both these kind of QBs. Rodgers has yet to prove this. His team has always kept him way ahead in the game. He's rarely had to come from behind. As you pointed out his first season he had only 6 wins but we won't count that since that is a rookie season. Only time will tell if he will be as good as Favre was.

Do you know anything about last year's Packers team? They lost their runningback Ryan Grant in the season opener, faced elimination the last 3 games of the regular season, won 3 road games to get to the SB, and won the SB despite losing key players like Woodson, Shields, and Driver. @GreenDay1981 Give Rodger a few more years. Favre played good for nearly two decades. Some QBs have a good streak lasting a few short years then fade away like Rich Gannon. Time will tell if he is indeed better than Favre but I doubt he will be. We'll see if he can even get past a real defense like the 49ers or perhaps Ravens or Steelers in the Super Bowl. If he wins the Super Bowl this year I'll start to believe you a little more.

Rich Gannon didn't start becoming good until his 13th NFL season. That's why his run didn't last long. He got old. Um, did you forget that Rodgers beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl last season? Did you forget the 40 yard pass against the 49ers 2 years ago with 6 seconds on the clock to win the game. Rodgers has never had a play like that. Steelers were with multiple injuries when they played the Cheese last year and is why they lost.

In 2004, he suffered a concussion against the Giants and wasn't medically cleared to return but refused to sit out. The pass against the 49ers? Really? The receiver helped Favre out that time. You talk like it was a perfect pass. It wasn't. The Steelers had injuries? To who? The Packers had injuries to Woodson, Shields, and Driver. Those are bigger than any injuries the Steelers had.
