  • Try drinking mainly water and reducing other drinks, I've found that really did help my asthma. It took at least a month to start working though.

  • Holy crap man ... ,,I am now in Japan ,, caught a somen kind of "kaze" (well a cold) and just right after it my left down wisdom teeth startet freaking aking... . I wonder now after two years if Ciaela went to a dentist or not.... I actually dont wanna have it pulled.

  • I think he might've given you a shot of adrenaline. If you don't have asthma medicine in reach, have straight black coffee. The caffeine in it is supposed to help you.

  • Lol the second top comment reminds me of Bruce Almighty xD "I work in back, I see no smiles."

  • God damn it. My phone is being annoying and won't let me thumbs up the hungry hungry commet. D: -Thumbs up.-

  • old doctors seem to be grumpy and bossy. I don't like them at all either.

but younger doctors are nicer and kinder.

I hate needle too but I kinda got.... used to it I mean, you can't just keep avoiding it.

and you feel absolutely better after getting shots esp when you have a flu or high fever :)

  • in that yellow jacket, you looks like Rin... :D

  • I hate needles too

  • hehe is that your boyfriend? he is adorable :D

im sure you're better by now, but i hope all is going well for you!

  • i have the same hoodie lawl

  • As for the needle thing, Korea does it too .. shots apparently cure everything in Asia ^^;;kk

  • Are you in Fukuoka? My grandmother is from Fukuoka, and I live in Busan in Korea - which you can take a ferry right into Fukuoka from .. I'd love to visit sometime soon^^

    Try to go to Fukuoka!

  • hahaha Ryuhei is just like me when he's hungry: GRUMPY ;D

  • A hospital horror story i have is when i went to my friends house, long story short i had a knife in my back ( literally ) and i was waiting in an Emergency Room being interrogated by cops because they thought there was an argument when there wasn't. My friends-mothers-boyfriend had a knife it his pocket and he took it out really fast and lost his grip and it flew straight into my back. It hurt a lot and he ended up getting arrested for something completely different.

  • Japanese hospitals suck for the same reason American prisons suck - privatization of something that should really be in the public sector.

  • lolol! I'm the same way..I really need to get my wisdom teeth pulled x_x

  • Hehe, I stayed a little while in the UK and had to visit a hospital there. I must say I was impressed at how clean and tidy it was. Vast improvement over our hospitals here and much more efficient. Anyway, I don't like the lack of privacy in Japanese hospitals. When I talk to the doctor I want it to be private, not all the other patients just outside the door listening in through a thin curtain. Also, I don't like Kanpo medications, they don't work and are only placebos.

  • I don't say any funny XD

  • i loooove the music in this video! :) Banjo rocks! :D

  • Japanese doctors are not friendly. Big stress in school for many years have taken smiles from them. lol

  • WOW u look like a copy of Ryoko Asuka from Beelzebub anime :O

  • lol i know,eh? japanese hospitals terrify me! when i went to one last week, it was like straight from a jap horror movie! -.-

BTW, we have the same sweater. well, it looks the same anyways. did you buy it from forever21?? :D

  • I'm hangry too! lol

  • @Ciaela

you need to jack up your immune system, literally. Eat all foods with vitamin equalivants and/or herbal supplements with foods. Any foods with vitamin E and proper doses of vitamin C (the non acidic type). When you are traveling your immune system can be compromised due to the change in diets. YOU MUST VIGOUROUSLY MAINTAIN YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM. AND EVERY 6 SIX MOUNTS HAVE A CBC(complete blood count).

@ your age your immune system is stil growing; it is not solid yet. increase it.

  • @Ciaela

FYI: if you are unsure about doctors, goto to a canadian or american or english consulate and ask for doctor references. they will give you a sheet fo doctors that the diplomats, consulars use. And ask them also if flu shots are recommended, but be careful about these: check alwasy with the consulates and compare and ask your parents or some close family doctors back home.

  • ooooooo (whisper) scawy

  • They gave you an adrenaline injection. They're meant to quell serious asthma attacks very quickly (as opposed to trying to do it with an inhaler). My friend is a bas asthmatic, and she always has a ready supply of needles and adrenaline in case of a bad attack.

Also, have you seen One Missed Call? About the ghost of a girl who died of an asthma attack killing everyone? A lot of it takes place in an abandoned hospital and it was all I could think of when you mentioned going there D=

  • ciala you will make a great ninja lol

  • I don't know why you say Japanese hospitals,I hope you mean hospitals per se. My wife is recieving life saving treatment in Japan, THEY are infinitely more advanced and professional than our REALLY SCAREY NHS. That's why we paid to have treatment in Japan even though We already paid N.I and Taxes here.

  • hey good lookin nice mask and you are very beautiful make another video with you wearing gloves

  • I plan on going to Japan, so please answer my comment if you have time. How does it work if you have to go to the ER in Japan. I want to go in the future, but after my next transplant that scares me. Any tips on who I could contact/find out more? I'm sure you're busy, but maybe you could help. Thanks. <3

  • Ahh!! I haven't had mine out yet, but they're starting to annoy me. You want horror? I had a Pancreas transplant, and it failed, but I'm doing it again because being diabetic is a slow cancer; it will kill you. Hospitals in USA are not white and clean, but they try. They gave you an IV, because fluids help your body. Crazy for Asthma, but it helps your body distress, your lungs where stressed. I'm going to post another comment with questions.

  • I'm living in Japan now too but I try to avoid the hospitals as well. I always just go to the clinics at my university. And I have asthma too. I hope I'll never have to go to a Japanese hospital. o______o

I love your videos by the way!

  • Maybe health care of canada is much better than that of japan.

I watched Sicko by michael moore. I'm suprised that in canada, all health care is for free. It sounds really nice.

  • @Waterfall714 Sorry but you really shouldn't form an opinion based on a sensationalist film maker,he is a very rich man who's misrepresented so many things.Healthcare in Canada ,like Britain is not free.it is abused My wife had entrometrial cancer ,misdiagnosed here, then terrible "free" treatment. She is now being treated in Japan properly. I would like to see where Michael Moore would get his treatment.

  • Random..., but i soo love that jacket :D, great videosss

  • i have asthma too D;

  • Haha waiting it out. Hospitals are just a business. :P

It won't get worst.... That's what I do.

  • i don't know if that's your "boy" friend or "boyfriend", but that is like the cutest thing. yeah....don't we all hate the Docs... I'm kinda ....going here and there and everywhere in Vancouver right now for my illness that i'm not sure what it's called yet. well mainly because i don't have a home doctor here. mah....i think i'll get myself checked when i get to Japan.... again. Hope your tooth's alright. Enjoyed watching your videos cya around.
  • I misread the title as Japanese "Hotels" are scary, and I was just going to say that I've had a lot of fun in Japanese hotels, lol. Can't say the same for hospitals, though. :-(

  • Awww, the ending was so cute!

  • I had to have all my wisdom teath out, wasn't too bad I was put to sleep for the operation and recovered in a few weeks. if the pain keeps coming back you might need an operation.

  • You went to a haunted hospital.

  • You remind me of... kuchisake Onna O_o well it's not because your face of course. It's because... you wear that... LOL just joking! By the way, get well soon okay! Ah or you already okay now.. -__-;

  • LOL, he is so funny... "Don't say anything funny now....because I'm hungry!" lmao xD

  • Dude, at least you didn't get appendicitis. You never want to stay more than a week in a hospital in Japan. Some of the nurses are vicious with those IV needles. X_x

  • Herpes! lol

  • wisdom teeth, had them taken out at barely sixteen

cant imagine having it in a country where i can hardly survive with my noobish japanese ><

  • NIGGERS

  • heeey i have the same inhealer as you :D yes i'm astmatic to T_T

  • Poor you.

  • First time... ushered me into a tiny room with another sick patient sitting about an arms distance away staring at me... outside what I now know is the electronics recycling truck plays this really sad creepy clown music.. and the nurse comes over with an old glass thermometer motioning me to go ahead so I put it in my mouth and then she shakes her head and screams then takes it and puts it under my arm. I was soooo disgusted and horrified. Then I dropped it and it broke.

  • @5arah1 rectal thermometer? ha ha, that's hilarious XD

  • @yaoifreak45 if they sedate you it won't hurt even a little. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed, i just kinda went to sleep and woke up without my wisdom teeth. Though for several hours after the operation you'll be high on sedatives and painkillers. Then for about a week it is just mostly inconvenient not being able to eat solid food. But hey, because I was "legally impaired" for 48 hours, I managed to get excused from one of my final exams in high school.

in short: doesn't hurt at all.

  • You probably already know but the injection they were going to give you was most likely atropine or nor-epinephrine. Still that would make me super anxious knowing that any of those drugs would make my respiration and heart rate skyrocket on top of the super creepy hospital.

  • Lol I've always hated the hospital cas I'm so afriad of needles. It's used to take like 4 nurses or docter to hold me down when I was a little kid because I was so afriad of needles and medicen. Now I handle it a little better but I still hate it lol

  • awww your friend, i thought that saw cute and funny x3

  • He sounds like Arnold Swarchenegger at the end of the video haha funny guy

  • asthma is nothing to brag about. it is a serious matter.

  • You have nice eyes.

  • Good girl for toughing it out, happy you are feeling better

  • Feel Better!

  • haha, get better soon :) x

  • I know I've commented previously, but I lol'd so hard at "I'm going to give you a disease!"

That mask is kawaii. This video is sugoi. Yes, that's right giiiirl. I know Japanese.

  • At least you can talk normally ^^

  • Get em pulled. I did, it's not that bad.

  • I had two extra teeth infront of my front two as a child. [Go figure]

Easily said, they pulled it, so I feel your pain. My best wishes and I hope you feel better Ciaela!

  • lucky i got my wisdoms pulled when i was like 17 i think :/

  • Kawaisoo! genki dashite ne! Ohikoshi koto ganbatte!

  • also. IM HUNGREEE SDFKHGSFSF ITS NAUGHT A TUMOR

  • terrified of all hospitals now ? ouch.

  • get them badboys yanked out i did cost 1k better then getting an infection and some real serious crap happening

  • What music is that ~ Its very nice and cheery!

  • Lol. The nebulizer? Haha, I'm sorry you had to go through that, when I have asthma attacks, that would probably just make it worse!

  • Edit* Lot of Health Problems. (sorry)

  • Hey Sweety!

    Long time no see!

I'm sorry to hear about your cold.

From what it sounds like is you

    need an antibiotic, especially

    for your wisdom teeth.

Anyways, I have a good story.

When I was a young girl, I had a long of problems with heath. Therefore

I had to go to the hospital a lot, which was

scary for a little girl. Anywho, they strapped me to a table, that stood vertical, gave me this yellow powder, water and told me to drink. Well, the powder expanded. I choked slowly. Blacked out.

  • Continued: Anyways, this was in a country hospital so it looked nice and was fairly quiet. However, going through that experience was terrifying, and was pointless. Or so I thought. I didn't have what they were looking for, but I did when I was a baby. Must have outgrew it. That is my story. I have more that is pretty sick. Get better okay. Teeth are dangerous when left alone. Antibiotics. Sleep. Hot salt water. Rinse mouth. Be safe! Kattie
  • OMG, are you all right ? Hopefully, you will get better. Anyway, when I pulled out my wisdom teeth, I made an neckless with my own teeth. It looks pretty cool, acturally.

  • Hey, Micaela,

Sorry to hear you are being sick and in pain.

Do take care and take it easy.

  • Aww poor Ciaela hope you get better.. Wisdom teeth suck hope you get better!

  • Thank you! I'm feeling a lot better now!

  • I have the same thing :S

I wore a mask while I was at the doctors. :P

  • It huuurt so bad.

It's so much better now though. I toughed it out without going to the doctor! I'm pro!

  • I love how this has been favorited six times. IS MY PAIN FUNNY TO YOU GUYS?

  • @Ciaela 7 times xD just a joke :P

  • @Ciaela "I love how this has been favorited six times. IS MY PAIN FUNNY TO YOU GUYS?"

No, it's because we're sad to see you in pain and we empathize >_>;; Watching this made me wanna give you a big hug and try to cheer you up. Though uh... I'm a little late in posting... seems you've long since gotten better. Which is good to hear.

  • @Ciaela as of this comment 42 times! XD

  • could your body possibly be fighting off an infection now? cuz i hear glands get swollen when your immune system is hard at work..

and i wasn't allowed to suck on a straw when i had my wisdom teeth pulled cuz somehow it pulled on my stitches or something or something? all i know is all 4 got pulled in one day, i looked like a chipmunk and things were POURED into my mouth cuz I couldn't open it. teehee

btw u should draw a smile or fangs on your mask if you have to wear it out :D

  • You're right, I had a fever as well the first day, and my glands were swollen. It suuuucked. I'm feeling so much better now though.

  • Ryuhei RULZ xDDDDD Take care :3

  • I love how he was in the video for like 3 seconds and you still took the time to comment about him THREE TIMES. I know Ryuhei is popular, but jeez.

  • omg Ryuhei RULZ xDD Take care :3

  • OMG Ryuhei just RULZ xDDDD! take care :3

    Take care!

  • Thanks!

  • Hungry? Cup Noodles!

(Ask to him to tell you about the old Nissin AD or search yourself in the youtube... )

  • needles are no fun...

  • I raise my cup of yogurt to you, sir.

  • hospitals are scary scary places and they smell funny. But if everything is that swollen and yucky you should go :( if it spread from your throat to your teeth it could spread up your ears or nerves and THAT... well that would suck balls. Feel better soon! <3

  • the funny thing about those face mask is the flu virus is smaller than the holes in the fabric, so they are usless against the swine flu :)

  • Why is there a ninja on my screen?

  • Happy Saint Patric's Day to ya that must suck :(

  • You shouldn't wait to see a doctor, these things can get pretty serious... Hope you feel better soon ^^

  • I recently spent a week in a Japanese hospital. The care was very good (though quite expensive even with insurance) and I realize now that I would have been in pretty bad shape if I had not let them admit me. I hope that you are better soon. Do take care of yourself.

  • All the hospitals look scary.

    I swear.

  • You should go to the hospital! My experiences in Japan have all been amazing. I usually wait to go to the hospital until I return to Japan because I like it so much better! (Then again, I come from the U.S. where health care is a disgusting capitalist machine...)

You should try another hospital, 90% of them are privately owned so they are all different. I am sure you will find one you like:)

  • @harr7959

Comment Fail. You just said that healthcare in America is a disgusting capitalist machine, then say that 90% of the hospitals in Japan are privately owned, and yet better somehow.

Did you watch the video at all? She said that the hospital she went to sucked.

Every hospital I've went to in the U.S. has been clean, the staff polite and the srevice prompt. If it's a capitalist machine, then so much the better. Our hospitals are better than anybody else's in the world.

  • I recently found out that I don't even have wisdom teeth ;)

Does dat mean me less wisdomy?

    Get well soon.

  • The yellow jacket and mask reminds me of scorpion from mortal combat lol

  • <-- + <-- + B = Spear Move for Mortal Kombat for Gameboy ;)

He was my favorite character! GET OVER HEREEE.

  • Oh my goodness. So glad I found your channel. Definitely one of my favorite J-vloggers.

I had severe asthma when I was knee-high as a grasshopper, but now it's only triggered when I do intense physical activities.

  • Yeah. It's a lot better now that I live in Japan, surprisingly. Although I can't breathe in cold weather. Riding my bike to work is death between November and February.

  • I'm the exact opposite. I have a hard time breathing in hot and humid weather. Living in Southern California, the summers can be a tad rough.

Throughout elementary and middle school, I was known as "The Kid That Goes Home In An Ambulance."

  • asthma sucks.. i've had it since a little kid but it went in remission in my teenage years. although when i got an upper respiratory tract infection last week i did have some wheezing which i got an inhaler for (but i didn't take it cuz corticosteroids make you fat and the wheezing wasn't that bad.) i'm just taking the anti-biotics to clear up the infection and my wheezing has gone away... but damn, it sucks living with asthma

  • lol you look like a visual kei fan now.. :P

  • Wisdom teeth sucks.. really. I'm terribly afraid of needles too, last time a doctor STOLE some of my blood (blood test) i almost fainted. I got out blue of the damn hospital.

  • I thought government health insurance is cheap in Japan...? Isn't it based off your previous years' income? Or is it different for you since you're an American citizen?

  • Well when I arrived here last year, I didn't have a previous year's income. Sure, it might be cheap, but I bet the yearly cost of Health Insurance is more than the one-time doctor's visit is going to cost--my first visit to anything medical related in the past 1.5 years.

  • So you're telling us your disfigured? hopefully not for life!!! You need to get some antibiotics for whatever is causing that inflammation.

BTW the shot they gave you in the hospital is called an adrenaline shot. My wife has asthma and they've given her that shot many times when she's in the ER.

Where are you guys moving to? we need details girl....DETAILS!!!! LOL

  • Good medicine tastes bitter, good hospital looks scary. ^^

  • D:

really OMG that sucks even in japan that are a HIGH COUNTRY lol...

Hope you recove soon : D

I love those mask , they have style I Has one but I decored it with kanjis stars and things like that xD

    lol

    ryuhei is soo cool! xD

  • Dude, everyone is worried about you, please take care of yourself...so,if you wait about 20 days I can send you some medicine...

  • Congratulations on being the best asthmatic!

  • Go to the damn doctor. Or it's gonna get even worst. Seriously... ¬¬

  • It's alright. I'm still scared to deasth of needles. It took me an hour each for both of my ears to get pierced and the nurses still have to hold me down for shots along with whoever is with me lmao xD.

  • I went to a hospital in Cuba once. Turns out I had tonsillitis. The hospital was basically a house. They were all asking me questions in Spanish, which sadly I did not understand, and I totally barfed all over the floor. Not pretty. You should probably go to the doc though, infections are no joke!

  • That actually sounds terrifying.

  • Hope you feel better soon!

    <3

  • Don't you have a foreigner run clinic's there? We had them in Kazakhstan all the doctors where western it was nice.

  • Yeah but I don't have health insurance so it's always a mystery walking in and not knowing how much I'll have to pay when I walk out.

  • I think it's best if you do actually go see a doctor just incase. You can't be too careful I guess.

    Better safe than sorry.
