  • i got a problem with connecting the splineIK Solver to the chain and the line. It wont let me select the last chain part plz help me..

  • @spacep0d lol no way definitely not doing that wayy too loud :P

  • Put on some headphones, turn the volume up nice and loud, and listen to your video at about 3:03 to 3:06. Ow.

Definitely wanna fix that. Thanks for the video tho, good info.

  • Nice video.

The audio is terrible tho. You need to back up your mic or something so you don't blow out people's ears when you say P-words.

  • LIFE SAVER!!

  • anyone help me with this problem, still hasen't figured it out

  • Why wont my IKSPLINE SOLVER not select the other end of the chain, nor selct my spline.

  • @vrigash same problem here :(

  • Thx, before watching this vid I had a chain but couldn't figure out how to animate it (without reactor).

This was the help I needed indeed :D

One tip though, the sound could be louder.

  • @eeemiel ha no problem and I think that's what people comment most on my vids, I am trying to get a better mic, I just don't have enough money lol

  • hey let me ask something. So what If I wanted to make a Bike chain using this method how do I get the chain to rotate around a path?

  • @RaceHorseDesign #1. you'd need a longer chain #2. You'd need a circular path, #3. there would have to be no beginning/end to the chain it would need to be completely connected. that should work, if not, feel free to send me a pm

  • @TheHelpYouNeed I appreciate you replying I gave a shot to what yous said problem is chains are connected to the path so only way to animate the chain is to move the path I need the chains to follow the path im not that advanced in 3d max but ill try to figure something out. thanx for trying though

  • @RaceHorseDesign made a quick tut for u i'll upload it when it's done compressing, it should be what you want

  • well thank's i'll do it again...thank's for the tutorial

  • hey thank's but my chain dosen't link properly what should i do..?

  • @wolfs17 depends on what you did. Make sure that you have them alll attached going 1 way.... that's normally the problem.

  • Okay - that sounds logically :) Thanks for the explanation...

  • @DBFCH No Problem as long as it didn't confuse you more =P

  • Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!

Many Thanks to you that you done this video tutorial too quick just some hour after my request. May Allah bless you, your family, your relative and your friends.

  • @OSAMAWAQARbsb No problem, glad you like it =)

  • Thank you for showing this! I didn't know about the array thing before and the chain looks pretty nice, but could you please tell me why you need the line? Sorry if this is a dumb question...

  • @DBFCH LOL well, I'm glad you learn something... and your question is not stupid lol. The reason for the spline is because you are using the "SplineIK Solver" which means that you need the spline, it basically acts as a bone for the most part wherever you have points is where the "bones" are =)

  • holy sh!t, suprised that people actually understand this, im still stuck on my good ol editable poly

  • @Coecoo LOL watch some beginner tutorials =P
