  • Worth every penny! So cool.

  • I like the varying velocities. Very interesting to watch. What's the design process?

  • @flooflox Lots of practice, but no planning All is done in the moment, with some eye to what will be needed in the future building of the piece.

  • Wish there was a roller coaster like that...

  • you are simply awesome!

  • kinda cool

  • aa aa

  • cool but do you bend the metal with you hands or with some kind of tool?

and by the way can i by things like this and it so were?

  • Are you familiar with an abstract artist named Alexander Calder? He created many artistic depictions of other people's faces by using metal wire.

  • cooooooooool

  • you are a great marble run builder can you send me the design please?

  • I don't build from a design, i build what I see in my head, and make it happen in wire. I am able tyo do this with practice, not with instructions.

  • @motleymdg

How do you make these things?

Does it require something like sodering things and??

I mean i have no idea how those things are made o.O

  • I use 1/8" stainless steel wire, and join it with a TIG welder. I bend most wire with my hands, and sometimes use needle nose pliers when needed.

    Lots of practice!

  • I like the portion of the track where you have made what is effectively a tunnel out of spiraled wire. Well, the rest of it is fantastic, as usual, but that little visual trick I don't think I've seen before on your stuff. Excellent work, once again!

  • I started with the top spiral, where the marbles are queued together. It visually looked very nice so I added the second section. I'm quite happy with how it came out as well, the colors of the marbles seem to flash as they roll through the spirals. And, yes, you are correct, it is 100% stainless steel - TIG welded.

    Thanks, Tom!

  • I really want to start makign theese, but what do you use?

  • I didn't build this, but I do know that it was constructed using stainless steel (unless the builder wants to correct me?). You can use about any material you like, and others have used plain mild steel, copper, brass, wood, even paper.

  • Love the tunnel :3

Also, next time, you should make on where the sharp-turn thingy with the marble in it causes teh release of other marbles stored elsewhere in the "deive". :3

  • I like that kind of tube :D

  • Whoa!!! there is even a crow sound!!! how do you make the metal sound like crows? you must be a magician! ;-)
