  • does any body no were a stampin up store near vacaville california

  • Does it need embossing powder or can it go without and can I use jelly powder instead of kool aid coz I don't live in america

  • Soooooo cute what a great idea for kids birthday cards. once you heat set it does the kool aid still stain?

  • totally cute idea. TFS xoxo

  • Hi Dawn TFS this awesome technique, it is one of my faves! Here's something you might want to try. I gotta tell you I LOVE coffee, so I experimented with different kinds of coffee; expresso, cappacinno, and instant coffee which I grinded in one of those grind machines until it was fine. I followed the same directions for the scratch n' sniff. Best of all I didn't have to worry about it browning because it was already brown. And it smelled so yummy.

  • It was soooo funny, I'd just made myself a cup of Herbal Tea when I started this video ... the Tea is Black Cherry Berry hahaha :o)

  • That is too cute! I can't wait to try that, I bet I know some kids who would love that. Adults too. : )

    and i have a question,

how much is clear embossing powder?

  • Dawn this is absolutly amazing, i love your videos and when i was a kid used to love scratch and sniff items, lol. But i cant find them in stores anymore, i will deffinatly make this i just have two questions, does it matter what type of ink i use (like the ink pad its self), and how long do you heat set it for (with the blow dryer)?

  • cool! :o)

  • This was so cool Dawn. I hate some smells, but this works great. Thank so much for sharing what you know.

  • This is NOT a dumb question ... Yes I add a small note inside my card to let them know it is a scratch & sniff ..:)

    xox

    Dawn

  • DUMB question, but I'll ask anyway...do you put a little note on your cards to "scratch here" so receiver knows to do that? or can you get a hint of the smell when you open the card also? Thanks!!

  • Cool Dawn! This is really awesome and clever! Boy, you are sure one smart, clever, clever, stamping mama.....lol!

  • I will try this

  • I tried Crystal Light and it doesn't work very well. Thanks Dawn for the tips on how to use this with different inks. You're awesome!

  • Wow, now I finally know how scratch and sniff stickers are made.

    Thanks so much Dawn!

  • *scratches* mmm! smells good!

how long does the heat set take or how do u know when its done?

  • Koolaid is on my shopping list now! Unfortunately, I will have to wait until I visit my daughter in the USA in June!

  • Just love this idea! Except I have no idea what koolaid might be...

  • hi really clever ..Love it .. would it be possible to use crystal light instead of koolaid??

  • As long as there is NO sugar added If there is other sweetners Then this may not work very good ~ I just don't know for sure since I haven't tried it

    xo

    Dawn

  • I love it! such a cute idea!

  • That is so cute. Love the scratch and sniff idea. I am going to use it for the grandkids they will love it. Thanks

  • Hi Dawn

Could you use cake mix instead of Koolaid to 'flavour' chocolate or cake images? Ta for the great video love

    x

  • Great video, by the way! Thanks for sharing! :)

  • Does it have to be clear embossing powder? If not, couldn't you just use the color that "matches" the scent?

  • Yes if you have color match embossing powder that would be even better .. But clear is the universal embossing powder since most have the clear KWIM?

    Thanks for watching :) xox

    Dawn

  • no craft ink pads here.. but stamping in versa mark then stamping in a classic ink would work as well. Love the vid!
