  • ching chong ling long ting tong !!!!!!!

  • Woot I'm a future bruin :D

  • UCLA sucks, the professors care about nothing but furthering their own research. I had a professor in sociology who read a paper while the students were reading the books on their own. Most professors could care less about teaching. Not only that but the campus police are infamous NAZIs, including tasing a student at Powell library in 2006, SIX TIMES. That's why I left UCLA because I got tired of the political bullshit on campus. Not only that, but the school itself is not very safe at all!

  • UCLA sucks as a campus. The professors care far more about their research than they do in teaching students. Plus the cops are infamous dicks who like to taser students for a living. Look up the 2006 tazing incident before applying. I left the university and attend another college which is free of all the political bullshit at U.C.L.A.

  • In the video they said that out of state students need a GPA of 3.4, which is 89%, but then they mention that the average GPA is 4.3 but isn't 4.0 a 100% ??? I am really confused because I thought the best GPA you can get is 4.0 ?? So what is the percent of a 3.4 GPA, is it not 89%???

I am an out of state student hoping to go to UCLA!!!

    Thanks for your help!!

  • @aREALblond For out of state students, there is a MINIMUM 3.4 GPA requirement. Most people that get in have quite a bit higher than that. Certain honors or AP classes are known as "weighted." That means that you get an extra grade point for that class. For instance, instead of 3 points for a B, you would get 4 points toward your GPA. So if you get an A in a weighted class, you get 5 points and can therefore have higher than 4.0 GPA. I think you're getting percentages and GPA mixed up.

  • @Serlindri Oh...that makes much more sense! Thanks for replying!!! Too bad my school doesn't offer AP courses and I'm pretty sure I missed the deadline to apply for an AP exam!!

    anyway, Thanks again!!!

  • which university is better?

    Harvard or UCLA?

please send me what you mean

  • I live in Los Angeles and know UCLA because it is local to me. It is HUGE, but quite good (I think - I am in 11th grade). Apply to both and if you get accepted to both, you can choose. If not, the choice has been made.

  • let me save u the trouble Harvard is way better check US News and world reports Harvard is ranked #1 UCLA is in the 20's

  • @DarkFireLord333 Wrong. Private schools have their own section in US News & World. Public Universities are: Cal #1, University of Virginia #2, UCLA #3. UCLA also receives the most applications of ANY school in the world.

  • it depends harvard is harder to get in but each school specializes in things like for doctors or medicine ucla is better but for buiseness or things like that harvard

  • In the eye of the beholder!

  • What do you mean?

  • What I meant is that it all depends on what ones undergrad major(s) is, and based on that one can decide what school is better in regards to the major(s) that one is interested in.

  • @monkeymoni depends where you live.

  • It really depends on what you want. Like someone else said, if you want to go into business, the networking at Harvard is probably better. If you want to go into medicine, UCLA has an excellent reputation (they put more kids in med school than any college in the country). If you are a CA resident, UCLA is also MUCH cheaper.

  • Location, Diversity, Academic Programs

  • There are so many great things about UCLA.

  • What are the two or three BEST things about UCLA? Your answer may help others decide about applying to it. Thanks.
