Itself that wen it becomes self aware, takes control over everything. Skynet eventually evolves to point it doesnt need humans and takes the action of wiping them all out. If all humans were gone, "Skynet" wud simply keep building more machines and maintain itself forever, guarding nothing.

I thought in t2 arnold explained he was "cyberdyne systems" model 101 not "skynet systems" those t800 or model 101's or whatever they massacred the storyline to call them, were made by cyberdyne way before the war, why in terminator salvation are they just being created, maybe the new skin thing?

i just LOVE how superior looking they made T-800 in this scene, comparing to t-600, he just broke him in half like a cheese with knife + epic background music = chills.
now T-800 looks not as weak comparing to T-1000 in T2, when Arnold says "he is more superior", I was like "omg poor T-800". lol comparing to T-600 he is a god damn TANK ! love it

You probably confuse a lot of animatronic shots with CGI.
OFC you know when its CGI when Avatar is impossible, 30yo arnold is impossible.
My point is you missed it in saving private ryan and 1000+ other movies when its not in your face impossible stuff.

It's still very good It certainly isnt Animatronics when the Brachiosaurus first strolls across...or when T-REX is chasing the wrangler or when the herd of Gallimimus is attacked by T-REX. That was awesome CGI! I know CGI is also used in background stuff that is usually not noticed as you pointed out. I agree on that point. Just wanted to clear out that I can tell if its CGI even if Arnold was thirty and Avatar was possible! :)
The body is by some bodybuilder known as Roland Kickinger. They added Arnold's face by GCI. Just realized Ronald is Arnold with its "A" in the middle :P

Excellent digital work and found T4 to be a fairly decent entry into the series, action wise. It also harks back to the best in the series, The Terminator(1984), by giving us an excellent Kyle Reese and the T-600.
I loved the Harvester droid, although I was expecting a more epic battle between it and Sam Worthington on top of that big aircraft thing. That was a missed opportunity for an unforgettable showdown...
I would of scratched the T2/3 music when he walked out, I found that extremely cheesy and cliche, then I would of had Conner do one of those sarcastic laughs you do when you know you're f'd screaming kill me you fucker!!!!!!! after the laugh.

This actually wasn't Terminator Salvation. It was a recount of an employee of Arnolds on what happened when he kept knocking on the toilet door while Arnold was taking a shower.

In the 1st t800 was a real killer, no unnecessary actions,just rip your heart out, shoot you, anything to kill, they could get him down for seconds after few shots of a shotgun,Kyle blew him up with a small bomb. T1000 was like t800 in his actions, he was just better made. In 4-th movie,t800 seems to be unbeatable and dumb! Throwing this dick around, why not not ripping his heart? Then John shots him with 2 grenades (more destroyable than Kyle`s DIY bomb) and so? Just tissue came off.

The new Terminator series of films should be based on the TSCC from Fox with Summer Glau taking over from Arnie as the scary robot that has been sent back to protect John. In the Fox version there was even the hint of a love story between John & Cameron and clue about Cameron's origins but the Fox scriptwriters started to lose the thread halfway through series 2 and the storyline was jumping around all over the place.

The scene where they fly into the field with all the terminators looked so cool and then it turned to complete and utter shit after that. What was McG thinking. In the next movie please give it to a decent director. Oh Mr Cameron how I wish you were in on this.
Earlier in the film, Connor gets chased by a Terminator that's had all its fake skin (and lower legs) blown off. It STILL throws him around... and CRAWLS after him.
It's almost as if the Terminator is about to break his neck, crush his skull, pull his heart out, etc., and receives the following directive from his memory banks:

Cool CGI, but it kinda took me outta the movie how the terminator just throws him. I mean...why not just snap his neck? John Connor should have stayed outta arms length of the thing the whole time...course then there's the question...why didnt they arm the terminator? I know it's an action movie, but the first two terminators didn't have stupid things like this. Course, those movies were classics, and this was just fluff.

The best thing about this sequence was when the terminator didn't melt under the molten steel. This only made sense to fans who painstakingly watched the Sarah Conner chronicles.
@tonyAJ420 In TSCC a Terminator is sent back with the mission to stockpile Coltan for Skynet to use in the future (Coltan metal alloys have a much higher melting point than normal alloys) I figured this had some connection to the scene in Salvation where the molten steel has no effect on the T-800 like it did in Terminator 2 (where T-800 Arnie lowers himself into it and dies)

Terminator Salvation, Terminator 4 or T$ or whatever you wanna call it wasn't bad. I liked it. Despite the fact that Arnold didn't physically appear in Terminator Salvation, it was kinda cool seeing Arnold face from part 1 being used in a CGI model. This perfectly displays the origin of The Terminator.

I wish the rest of the movie was as cool as this scene. It wasn't though. I hate Christain Bale, and if have to listen to him growl his way through one more film I think I'll puke. Please let someone besides McG do the next one!

This is gonna sound so random out of the blue but for any Dragonbal fans out there, heres a random Idea, what If they did another DBZ movie, and made the characters wen they turn Super Saiyan look like the CGI arnie. I mean like really clever CGI that looks partly real. E.g. Imagine that the CGI arnie in this video is like a really cool live action Android 16 lol. Just a thought but what If they cud make a DBZ movie in this kinda style??

I think it wud b awesome style and wud blend both that animated style staying true to the series, as well as give it that awesome movie style. If only Hollywood cud see it this way like how fans like us see it. Oh well, we can always dream.

This actually wasn't Terminator Salvation. It was a recount of an employee of Arnolds on what happened when he kept knocking on the toilet door while Arnold was taking a shower.

also, this scene is VERY well done, actually. stop complaining about the fact that he keeps throwing john, and actually use your brain to think. if YOU were a heaping mass of robotic muscle, wouldn't YOU wanna just pick him up and throw him against a wall? that shit fucking kills people! ya'll duuuuumb, getting thrown into a wall can be lethal, let alone a million times like arnold does here.

Nice action movie, but not a "Terminator". We need to see Connor hunt the T-800 and send him back in time. That would close the circle. Btw, this is supposed to happen 20 years from 1991 or so. Hm, I don't see so many cyborgs walking around these days - unless Arnold is one himself, after all. OMG!!!

In the 1st t800 was a real killer, no unnecessary actions,just rip your heart out, shoot you, anything to kill, they could get him down for seconds after few shots of a shotgun,Kyle blew him up with a small bomb. T1000 was like t800 in his actions, he was just better made. In 4-th movie,t800 seems to be unbeatable and dumb! Throwing this dick around, why not not ripping his heart? Then John shots him with 2 grenades (more destroyable than Kyle`s DIY bomb) and so? Just tissue came off.

The new Terminator series of films should be based on the TSCC from Fox with Summer Glau taking over from Arnie as the scary robot that has been sent back to protect John. In the Fox version there was even the hint of a love story between John & Cameron and clue about Cameron's origins but the Fox scriptwriters started to lose the thread halfway through series 2 and the storyline was jumping around all over the place.

Damn, anyone who has watched the first 2 films directed by the masterful James Cameron can not possibly think that this is a worthy link in the chain.
I have watched this film only once at the cinema, I wish I'd never bothered. The scene where they fly into the field with all the terminators looked so cool and then it turned to complete and utter shit after that. What was McG thinking. In the next movie please give it to a decent director. Oh Mr Cameron how I wish you were in on this.

Cool CGI, but it kinda took me outta the movie how the terminator just throws him. I mean...why not just snap his neck? John Connor should have stayed outta arms length of the thing the whole time...course then there's the question...why didnt they arm the terminator? I know it's an action movie, but the first two terminators didn't have stupid things like this. Course, those movies were classics, and this was just fluff.

The best thing about this sequence was when the terminator didn't melt under the molten steel. This only made sense to fans who painstakingly watched the Sarah Conner chronicles.

@tonyAJ420 In TSCC a Terminator is sent back with the mission to stockpile Coltan for Skynet to use in the future (Coltan metal alloys have a much higher melting point than normal alloys) I figured this had some connection to the scene in Salvation where the molten steel has no effect on the T-800 like it did in Terminator 2 (where T-800 Arnie lowers himself into it and dies)

Terminator Salvation, Terminator 4 or T$ or whatever you wanna call it wasn't bad. I liked it. Despite the fact that Arnold didn't physically appear in Terminator Salvation, it was kinda cool seeing Arnold face from part 1 being used in a CGI model. This perfectly displays the origin of The Terminator.
