THAT NOISE. I have a friend that makes that noise. When he is teased or he's awkward - 'djnaawwwhh'. It's GREAT. We tried to teach this friend the other day to be more socially interesting, so we told him to make excitable, knowing 'aaahh' kind of noises, that normally come with a nod occasionally in conversation. Which has now evolved into him shouting (high pitched) 'AHHHH, CAMERON' like a female pokemon in awkward silences. Best. Ice. Breaker. EVER.

@EpicEleanor It's a Canon Eos 550d :) The 600d came out a few months after I bought it and that has a flippable screen which would be so handy! I can't imagine there'd be any major differences between the two so I'd be fairly confident in saying the 600d is probably an awesome camera too!

I used to have the same bag and the same problem. When I was 14 I used to have those shoes with tiny hooks on the sides that were meant to hold the shoelaces. But they were so big that on two occasions, as we were all dashing out of school to get to the bus first, the hooks got tangled, literally hogtied me, and sent me FLYING forward across a dirt path. I didn't just fall, I painfully glided forward, face down, and left the human equivalent of a tyre track on the path.

The first time it happened I dizzily managed to stand back up, in the midst of the schoolchildren stampede, completely brown with dirt - clothes, face, hair . I wondered where I was and what happened. Second time it happened I landed on a girl and took her down with me. Her friends helped her up and she copiously insulted me in public. I must have heard only half of it, dazed as I was by the fall.

That's my life.

And sadly this is light years away from being my most embarrassing memory.

Normally you squat down, pick up the object/weight/whatever you’re lifting, keep your head up [that’s important in doing it properly] and then push back up or stand with your legs and not so much your back. I think it is designed so that you do not pull your lower back muscles. Or in your case I guess so you don’t wrap a bag around your ankles and fall over and hit your head. =]
