Good god, I'm SOOOO tired of yet another ominous female voice over narrative that doesn't even TRY to disguise its being a Galadriel-Jackson-rip-off ("I feel it in the earth, I feel it in my pants, the times they are a'changing").

For another instance, see Warhammer online (youtube vid: zKOhzfkCdbY). I guess Neverwinter will have about the same longevity as that game. Just wait for the free version in a year's time, kids!

I hope one day wotc will be able to make superb rpgs for the new consoles. D&D invented RPGs, why do their video games fall short in battle mechanics compared to other RPG's out there, the world of Faerun is the most sophisticated fantasy world ever, if they created a huge MMO with all the lands like kara-tur, it would be huge, the video game industry is bigger than tv and music combined, its time to step up WOTC, TSR would already be doing it if they still ran shit instead of Hasbro.

@RabiesBunny Actually the Ruining is a specific event 75 years after the Spellplague which is the engine for putting Faerun into the 4e ruleset. The ruining was a second catastrophe specific to Neverwinter and environs that almost destroyed the already devestated city.

Well what would it take for WotC to be able to perhaps make their Encounters Seasons available via Subscription. I have seen the same posts over and over again. No shops nearby aka no DnD Encounters. Its the same in my case. What if once after the encounter season is finished like 3 months after or something like that we could get it via DnD Subs so that we may too get a taste of it? Hey WotC what do you think? Let your loyal subjects know :)

@snnecksjr Nope. Definately a video game. On the front of "The Neverwinter Saga: Gauntlgrym" book, it says at the bottom "The prequel to the highly anticipated Neverwinter for PC". On the back of the book, it says "Follow the Legend of Drizzt into a bold new era, finally walk the haunted halls of lost Gauntlgrym, and open the curtain on the characters, settings, and monsters of the must-have online gaming experiece...Neverwinter."

Seems like "Neverwinter: Vie for Glory" might be an MMO.
