This is always a highlight when I come to YouTube...an unforgettable performance. If this isn't "family-friendly," I don't know what is. We're still smiling because it happened...
Yep, Disney wants to close the club for more family-oriented SHOPPING. Wow, just what we all need. What a shame. Disney, are you watching? This is a future shareholder standing up there with Emil!
Just tonight I stood before the tavern Nothing seemed the way it used to be In the glass I saw a strange reflection Was that lonely woman really me Through the door there came familiar laughter I saw your face and heard you call my name Oh my friend we're older but no wiser For in our hearts the dreams are still the same Those were the days my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day Those were the days, oh yes those were the days
I was there this night...I know Christian's mother..and well Christian, he's one of the coolest kids. We need to get him up doing Miss Brisket! LOL, but yea...it was AMAZING and of course...I cried, LOL
I am SO GLAD someone posted this. Thank you. I saw video cameras out during it and kept hoping. As with most videos about Adv Club, the video itself pales in comparison to actually being there. There was a phenomenal energy; I can see that most of the posters here so far would agree, having been there that night too. Showed it to my girlfriend, who used to work there as a Door Greeter but is currently out-of-state, and her eyes definitely welled at one point. =)
One of my many favorite parts: when the implications of this dawned on Hathaway (Karl) before they started singing: "He knows ALL of it, oh dear Goooooood...." while covering his face with his hands at the potential trouble they were about to get into. Hahahaaa.
You are killing the only true place where Adults can party in a safe, fun environment unlike any other and sacrificing it to the almighty dollar. You're getting tons of money from that High School Musical shit, yet you can't afford to keep one of the most unique destinations in WDW from closing? Is Michael Eisner still in power here?
No, Michael isn't in power anymore...if he was, we wouldn't be losing the "non family friendly" club...I think that's funny though because I take my 3 year old and she can sing quite a few of the songs...and she can do the Kungaloosh, so its really hard to tell me that the place ISN'T family friendly
I meant it as a jab against Disney, asking if Michael Eisner is there because he made so many bad decisions in his later years that i'm surprised that he didn't axe PI when he was in power.
gosh.... no joke that was the most precious thing ive ever seen in all my moments at the club this past year...a moment like this video is something u can never forget at a young disney dreamer! i am a disney nut and disney magic like this brought tears to my eyes!!!! awesome work christian and to his parentals too for raising him right goin to the club!!!! hehehehe
That Junior Adventurer is my son and I couldn't be prouder of him. I am sending the clip to the execs and begging them to listen. I am glad that his little song brought so much joy to everyone. He sings it around the house all day everyday. He loves Emil and is a celebrity at the club now.
Moments like this are true Disney magic, Walt-style. No shop or restaurant could ever compete. This performance will be remembered long after final call. Thank you to all the Club's magic-makers for 19 years of memories.
The Adventurers Club does not have to close. If you would like to send a message and a link to this video to Disney Execs, here are the top email addresses (just place the "om" against the ".c" to remake ".com"):
Bob Iger, Vice President of Operations, Walt Disney World
I was there and I was crying by the end. By far the most touching moment I've ever seen at the Club. All of my favorite Disney vacation memories are from the Adventurers Club, and it breaks my heart that it is closing. It has been such a magical place.
oh. my. god. that is the cutest thing i have ever seen. what an awesome memory for that kid and everyone there! i will miss the club SO much because of things like this.
Great!!!! Bring Back The Club!!!

If Eisner still held his place...PI wouldn't be closing...Eisner LOVED the place.

Congrats, Mom, on having such an adorable, charming, and talented little boy! It completely made my week!
