These days sadly the scholars don't get out much and have a hard time keeping fit. Some of them just look 'tubby' for lack of a better word. But there's a picture of Khomeini from around 1945 or so, making wudhu (or so he appears) and you see his huge arm muscles.
Khamenei was also athletic in his youth, he liked soccer and mountain climbing especially. But after his injury and due to old age, he doesn't anymore.

Don't confuse things sir! Just because the majority of the Imams were Persians whom mostly were killed by Persians too, doesn't make Islam a Persian religion. Just because someone's ancestry is from one place doesn't make his idealogy from that same place too. Islam is an Arabian religion. The mindset of Islam was created by Arabs in the 7th century. You can believe what you like, this is a free world, but if you are Islamic then you are following an Arabian religion.
culture is different from religion. that is the most basic, fundamental facts. only 15% of arabs are muslim. islam was brought to arabia to correct them, and in total 124,000 prophets have been sent to different nation and tribes.
