i have to say!! i think the panthers is starting to be teached in schools here! (england).. as every one knows that most people of colour here, are originaly from the states or the westindies or both!!

just this week i went into a westindian take away! in london!! saw 3 youths in "5mins" werein panther print! in the same shop!! one had huey, one had the logo, one had a mix up of panthers! and they wasnt together!! so what ever your doing! must be working!!! onelove..all power to the people!!

I have so much respect to Mr. Hilliard for keeping this information out there and keeping the History of the BPP alive. I've read many books written by him and I applaud him for keeping these stories relevent so that future generations will realize their importance. Cuz they ain't teachin it in the schools.

Hillard was a good leader in the BPP. But sadly he was one of the reasons for the BPP schism and downfall between the BPP Central Committee and the New York chapter of the BPP. Then he also got Geronimo Pratt kicked out of the BPP which made things worse.

I think the the first thrown cast was at Hilliard by Cleaver. Hilliard saw the importance of the survival programs and the importance to keeping them going, cleaver was far more interested in getting himself on TV and in papers. He wanted all out violent revolution. I don't think he saw that there was a time, a need and purpose for both tactics. In that respect I dont see Hilliard as the beginning of the end for the party.
