I haven't been a big fan of Samsung's AMOLED just because it seemed to saturated. The keyboard is also a dream to type on, definitely what sets this apart from anything else. I'm getting this phone tomorrow. I'm on my third Samsung Fascinate and it keeps freezing, so Verizon let me get the Droid 3 as a replacement using my warranty. I have an upgrade discount available and was thinking of getting the iPhone 4s, but I may wait a while if I like this phone.

@IcedLipGloss I would get the iPhone. I had the Droid 1, and now I have the iPhone. The iPhone blows Android phones out of the water. They are way more smooth, from scrolling etc. And the apps are way better.

Ok I have a few questions about this phone

I have heard mixed reviews and opinions about this phone and can't seem to get a solid answer

Here are the questions

1: does the phone feel heavy in say, your pants pocket2: is the phone annoying to carry for king periods of time

3: about how much battery life can I get out of heavy texting and medium web use

4: is the phone heavy?

5: us it heavy to the point where it is uncomfortable?

But I've had to replace it once so far with another droid 1 (because the power source got warped and was unable to charge) And almost a year later the replacement is doing okay, just kinda slow with all my apps, wallpapers, and the on/off button no longer works (jammed permanently) so the only way to turn it off is to take the battery out and the only way to turn it on is to plug it in .... ghetto!! Me thinks its time for an upgrade soon... :I !

Kanundrum...I'm curious how the screens match up with the D2. Can you do a vid showing a few of the same pics on both phones? Then to show the speed of the D3, perhaps a couple live wallpapers also? I'm not due for an upgrade, but I love cell phones. I'm tempted to buy this one.

The problem with 4G isn't the transmission tech, it's a design problem: Make the damn battery (and with it the phone) 1cm thicker and bam, you've got all the battery life you need. I don't see why I'd need to be able to use my phone to cut bread. Adding some weight would also make these things feel a lot less like toys.

@Tuskengod Reason why they purposely don't include an extended battery with it is because they want people to go out and buy batteries, which is more money for the company. These companies always make sure they leave the customer in a position that they should go out and "purchase" more.

@Tuskengod That's what I've been thinking. It seems like the manufacturers are competing to see who can make the thinnest phone. I'm not sure I like it. Something that's as thin as a credit card but as hard as a phone is probably easily snapped. I like to feel the weight of the phone in my pocket to let me know that it's there, it's whole and I can count on it.

Thanks for making this video it was really helpful especially the extended battery part, if possible can you make a video only about the extended battery because I'm debating on buying it or not because I don't want it to add bulk to my phone and I don't know hoe much longer it lasts compared to the normal battery it ships with. Also can you use the extended battery with the normal back cover that came with the phone?

Buy extended batt, its worth it. I get about 15 hours of use out of it. Its no bigger then the stock battery but will not fit the stock cover. Extended cover is 1 mm thicket i think if that.
