In El Salvador, it costs $100 to get an interview at the US embassy to be considered for some form of legal status. The average income of a FAMILY in El Salvador PER MONTH is $100-120. Simply being interviewed does not mean you are assured legal status. After all the paperwork, the other fees, the other interviews etc. the total cost is MUCH more than $100 dollars. How is a family that really needs the opportunities that the US offers going to afford that on an income of $100 a month?

You know what I think is funny, that all the immigrants are considered Mexican, Some of them are not Mexican, just because we're brown people does not mean we all come from the same place. I mean there are other people who come into this country illegally, you know why we don't hear from them as often, cause they blend in, THEY have the same skin color. The more challenges given to the undocumented, the more problems the United States will acquire. Having recently left America because of screwed up immigration rules (I entered legally by the way) it's clear that American immigration rules are denying America hard working willing immigrants and alienating people (like me) who love America, who paid their taxes and worked hard, the opportunity to remain. The truth is a points based system like Canada or Australia would be much fairer and easier to manage.

If they want to work here they should get work visas or immigrate to the United States of America. LEGALLY!!! Someone who is here breaking one law to be here, is much more likely to break other laws once they are here. If you are breaking one law by simply being here why pay attention to any of the other laws you might be breaking.
