If you bought it legally from steam, go to my games, right click on garry's mod and click properties. Go to launch options and type in -dxlevel (if you have vista, type in 10, if you have xp or below, type 9 and if you have windows 7, type in 11). Hope your game works!

Are you using Steam or did you pirate it?

If you're using Steam, you should let it validate the files. That makes sure that you've downloaded everything correctly. After that, you should be able to launch the game.

Make sure that under "My Games", HL2 is fully installed and updated.

you obviouslyy have magnetize toggled improperly, so what you wanna do is open the q menu, then deal with the settings shown, make sure it starts off, and is toggled, to a button on your secondary keypad,

he couldve done (for example) 8 to increase and 2 to decrease for first one, and 2 to increase and 8 to decrease for the second one.

it means reverse the button order so like, if on the first winch you made the numbers were 8 and 5, then make the second winch 5 and 8.
