No offense but it's kinda noob to use drive forms on this fight, and besides when used drive froms you did have max but you could not get close to him untill you had 2 in drive gauge a vaste of drive if you ask me

I had the best luck with this fight,I didn't know the strategy for this fight (It was my first time.)so I died and mickey saved me then revived Sora.Then I died again in the same fight and Mickey saved me again!!
If you can defeat Xaldin (the hardest Org. XIII boss in the game) on proud mode then you can definitely defeat the rest of the Organization XIII members on proud mode too. Good job, very nice!
By the way, you can also use Reflect to prevent getting damaged by the huge beam of wind that Xaldin shoots at you after he turns his lance into a dragon. If you use Reflect at the right moment, it acts like a shield that helps to protect you.
No offense, but i dont think this is proud mode. I just did this at level 37, and Xaldin could kill me in about 5 shots and he isnt hitting you nearly as hard as he hit me. Either way, besides the few mistakes, nice gameplay. I especially liked the well timed Whirligoof in the beginning. Kudos
But I have to tell you, yes, this is proud mode, I am possibly higher in level than you were and I also took the liberty to level up all the forms I had to the maximum allowed level.
Also, I uploaded this video four years ago and I did not continue with my objective to uber destroy the OXIII in Proud Mode. Might try it later and record the actual level I was.
Ay bro I think you underestimate the value of summons such as stitch. Play proud mode on a magic focused sora, and then for this battle have stitch summoned and he will deflect most of xaldin's attacks while stunning him with his ukelele occasionally and making him drop hp orbs, and he also periodically restores your mp all the way, yeah i have to say i love summons now.

Nice choice but i used oathkeeper and didnt use the forms at all...well, in my magic focused sora, in my guard focused sora i had to use the forms a lot to make up for the areas i lacked punch in, i could take it but couldnt dish it out, and master form was a great way to even out my char
Xaldin tends to use this "fully immunity combo" twice in a row. So be prepared :). For the record I've managed to defeat Xaldin at level 30 (and sometimes 25) It's NOT easy and I had to Micky abuse (god bless him...) I think i ended up using like 5 pots and healed at least 5 or more times (Valor form heal) Keep fighting him and study his moves closely. Eventually you will beat him :). *just a note I also suggest saving an extra file so you can rematch him as many times as you'd like.)
Now this is where things get hard and where most people die. In phase 3 Xaldin is a pure asshole. You know your in phase 3 when he goes immune to ALL your attacks, glows, and does one massive combo to you. That's not all. He then takes to the skies and eventually uses this long stream of wind (as seen in the vid around 1:36) Best possible way to avoid this, reflect. Unfortunatly you probably don't have an MP bar (cuz you may have healed during his lame combo). So just take the hits if possible.
In phase 2 things get a little easier. Xaldin will now start to spam jumping on you. Simply run away as he's trying to jump on you and spam triangle to learn as many jumps as you can. At the end of his "jumping spree" he will finish by surrounding you with his polearms. Simply keep jumping and moving around and he should come out of it. Once its possible for you to hit him use up all the jumps you learned from him. The max jumps you can learn is 9 so you should do a good chunk of damage to him.
Xaldin is alot easier to beat then people think. Like most boss fights he has "phases". Learning and mastering these phases is the key. In his first phase all you gotta do is use the reaction command to learn as many "Jumps" as you can. The more the better. Usually one jump is good enough. This allows you to get in a decent combo before he starts to attack. This phase usually lasts about 1-2 HP bars.
If you on proud mode then mabey because you have to by verry skilled and you must have also Second chanche and Once More. For a easier fight you must be lv 43 44.
beat him proud mode,learn and horizontal slash saved my butt by making my combo much longer;i wasn't even gonna risk a form,knowing anti would die in an instant;same went for demyx.
and unless hollow bastion was open the around the time you could you could come here the second time,you cheated(i doubt you did,but it just doesn't make that much sense to me).it seems you also leveled up a lot(sora and his forms).
I nearly got him on the first try, but after that it, took me so long. Wisdom form helped a lot when he was untouchable, then valor when he was open finished it. I had to give everyone tons of hi-potion
if u really love kh2 then u should invest in kh2fm. I got it and it was worth it. The extra boss battles are much more entertaining and you easily get your moneys worth.
If you have seen the trailer for Final Fantasy versus XIII wouldnt you say Xaldins weapons and the way he holds them look amazingly similar to that of the portagonist of FFvXIII
THIs fight almost made me shot my self i would always get up too like his last health bar and he would kill me the best advice i could give is just keep trying and u will eventually get lucky with king mickey or u will just be lucky enough to kill him ohh and a good way to take a lot of health is to use goofys limt knockem smash cause it is a killer move and takes his health away like crazy

That was a good show. What I did was guard when he got near me, and I was subsequently able to damage him. It seems that using guard makes him vulnerable. However, your method is far more effective :)
its almost immpossible to get around his wind beam move, but if u move as far away as possible (not left or right but straight back) then the beam will only take away a little hp and not the ungodly chunk it would have taken away. O and when he does that jump attack, when u see a gust of wind on the ground JUMP OUT OF THE WAY! you can still use the learn cammand with this too!
Nice though you got hit too much. In beggining dont att him cuz of his sheild, and just wait for jump. Use reflect during wind blast at right time and u could get away without getting hurt at all.
You did a nice job... The best way to get jumps in that fight though is when he flys down on you many times jump and press x dont walk.. that way you avoid dammage
This fight hates me, I go to Fight him and I died 7 times, 1 outta those 7 times I ALMOST one, he had like (This is a health bar) -----, that much health left...And everytime I went drive form I got Shadow Sora
if you have it knock smash is a more damaging move. also donalds fantasia lests you run around and hit things while doing the limit (if you can press tri-angle and move around and hit things while doing it) either one of thughs would have done more dmg. also sora solo trinity isnt HORRIBLE its not that good but its not bad

hmmm maybe this is just me but....
when i first fought him on normal mode......he killed me and mickey had to save my ass(i wanted to kill him with valor but sora went anti >_>)
but when i fought him on proud mode(at a lower level then before) i killed him with absolutely no problems...except hisBEWARE THE FACE OF DESPAIR..
but besides that i gota perfect.kh2 bosses arent hard(except sephy..)their just time consuming and/or annoying

Proud Mode is the equivalent of "hard" for this game.
For the "expansion", called KH2 Final Mix+, there is an additional difficulty, called "Critical Mode", which is supposed to be "Hardest".

If you really wanna challenge yourself, then use only the kingdom key no drives, summons, etc...
And fight each boss 3 levels under the battle level. Thats what I am doing! :)

I did it in 15 minutes and I suck pretty hard at kh2 :\
You just have to use limit commands, have a few ethers and such.

That was a good show. What I did was guard when he got near me, and I was subsequently able to damage him. It seems that using guard makes him vulnerable. However, your method is far more effective :)

You cant avoid that Wind Cannon thing completly, but if you level up Valor form and get high jump, you can reduce the damage delt to you

its almost immpossible to get around his wind beam move, but if u move as far away as possible (not left or right but straight back) then the beam will only take away a little hp and not the ungodly chunk it would have taken away. O and when he does that jump attack, when u see a gust of wind on the ground JUMP OUT OF THE WAY! you can still use the learn cammand with this too!

Nice though you got hit too much. In beggining dont att him cuz of his sheild, and just wait for jump. Use reflect during wind blast at right time and u could get away without getting hurt at all.

You did a nice job... The best way to get jumps in that fight though is when he flys down on you many times jump and press x dont walk.. that way you avoid dammage

if you have it knock smash is a more damaging move. also donalds fantasia lests you run around and hit things while doing the limit (if you can press tri-angle and move around and hit things while doing it) either one of thughs would have done more dmg. also sora solo trinity isnt HORRIBLE its not that good but its not bad
