Bunny Debarge was what Beyonce is today (except she wasn't as showy) but I have to say that both are wonderful, Bunny has talent and modesty but Beyonce is a bit more flashy. I liked the fact that she and the family wrote their own songs. Then drugs came into the picture and they spiraled out of control

The oldest brother, Bobby, died of AIDS in 1995. He and Tommy were founding members of Switch, and Bobby replaced El as the lead singer of DeBarge in the late 80's.

I remember hearing this song for the very first time, when I, resided in Washington DC, I still love this song even more today. It's a classic for all times. Such a beautiful voice & song.

Who was the genious that came up with this beat???!!! MY GOODNESS!!! And when it gets to 1:21 and they did the first A dream a simple fantasy...that I.... Whew!! It chills and warms my soul at the same time, sends my emotions into a tail spin everytime. This family was and is amzing!!! Boy if black aint special i dont know what is. yeah this beat is sick!! i see why tupac and blackstreet sampled it. and biggie and ashanti sampled their song called stay with me. man, they deserve more recongnition. after the jackson 5, this is my favorite group. and not to mention they are all gorgeous (had to throw that one in there) lol.
