My xbox 360 microphone jack is only 2.5mm it looks like and it can fit into the controller if the output is 3.5mm how am I supposed to plug my mik into the output? I would need to buy a 3.5 mm microphone too right? Where?

I have a 2.5mm to 2.5mm cable plugged in to my controller to a 2.5mm - 3.5mm adapter that is in my computer.

Both cables and adapter are stereo but the xbox doesn't pick up any sound :/

@gdogg395 If you try and do a voice change it wont work cuz you have to have a mic plugged in as well. the only way u could do this is if u had turtle beaches or something like that. this way u can talk and listen to everything. thing is the jack is different for turtle beach mics.
