To make this easier, (at least on PS1, I don't know about game cube.) go as hard as you can on each of them, don't hold back to save your strength for the harder ones, and if you get tired (or even if you don't feel tired) after at most 2 sequences open the PS1 and expose the game disc, this will freeze the game without hurting anything and you can rest as long as you want before continuing by closing the PS1 again.

For some reason, on Youtube people are always playing this game on Easy. The number of times you get shocked is dependent on the difficulty level, at least on the PS1 version.

Easy is 3 times

Normal is 4 times

Hard is 5 times

Extreme is 6 times.

And ocelot changes what he says to you the longer the session is. At one point he tells you to give in for the sake of making it easier on yourself.

@Yacamiwolf Then Meryl dies. You have to make it through. I played a lot of megaman and space shooters when i was small so it's really easy for me. I've only had to go through 3 rounds. I'm assuming you haven't played it but it's easier than it looks. At least they didn't make you do this with the health you start with.

I HATED the torture part of the game. The button mashing was too much, but I couldn't bring my self to let meryl get killed..(and raped). This was one of the most stressful gaming experience of my life.

if ur on PSP get a pen and put the thing on a solid surface, hold it still and do what i call an arm spasm. I dont know the real name but its weird u tighten ur arm and it will start to shake. It worked for me ahha

Kid, hit the circle button as fast as you can. Once he stops the shock thing keep pressing it, you wont receive any damage but you'll keep recovering life. Else you'll listen "Did it again Ocelot ?ahahahahha" D:
