Why is it that we can label a breed as gentle..but not dangerous? Goes both ways! Every dog is different..regardless of the breed. I also agree that it has a lot to do with how the owner treats/raises the dog..but sometimes instincts take over..they are animals..not people.
i grew up with a bullmastiffs and a when I was a kid, speaking from personal experience I have a hard time believing that a bullmastiff would ever intentionally hurt a child.
Without a video or picture of the dog, there shouldn't be any assumptions on what kind of dog it is. Don't be ignorant, ANY dog can attack; mutt, purebred, bullmastiff, pitbull, shepherd, labrador, poodle. I currently have 2 bullmastiffs & have raised them previously. They are a loving, gentle breed, but they are stubborn and need a firm hand. Without proper training, they can indeed be dangerous, as ANY dog can be. Point is, don't blame one breed for an owner's misguided effort.
there are no such thing as a bad breed there is such thing about a bad owner. so please shut ur mouth unless ur an expert on the behavior patterns of a bullmastiff!
pure bred Bullmastiffs if not raised properly can become aggressive out of frustration, BAD OWNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are family dogs, not meant to be left outside.
I have a bull mastiff next door it's the craziest thing out it nocked our fence down once because it was chacing a bird then killed a little 8 yearold jackrussle and pit bulls are only aggressive wen u provoke them or toture them
@Theward2010 I completely agree, I own a three year old boy mastiff & he is a great big softy, but if anyone was to break in or come across as a threat he would soon sort them out lol. Even on walks in the woods if he see's anyone he becomes verry awear of them and runs ofter to me and stays close. & yes any dog can attack but I find it very hard to belive a mastiff would do that unless he was prevoted by the child....
Any dog is able to turn bad. It all depends on how the dog is raised. A lab can be worse than a pit bull or rottweiler. The breed doesn't make the dog the way it behaves, it's the owner. Therefore there is no Nice or bad breed. Only Nice or bad owners. Anyone who says otherwise is breedist. To those who say that a certain breed wouldn't hurt a thing, I say you're wrong. Maybe YOUR dog won't hurt a thing, but that doesn't mean NO OTHER DOG of that breed will. All depends how their raised.
absolutely not true. the news station fucked up; most likely. Maybe an english mastiff or probably a pitbull or some thing similar looking. bull mastiffs aren't capable of doing this.
The breed has nothing to do with it's ability to attack, the size of the dog matters, yes, but it's unfortunate that some dogs are labeled as "dangerous". I have seen a chocolate lab attack a small dog, and I have seen a pitbull play with an infant baby. It's all about the way the dog was raised and socialized. It's frightening when such a large dog is aggressive, but I personally feel that the breed of the dog is not the problem.
It breaks my heart when people bring a dog into their lives simply for "protection", domesticated breeds have had the aggression bread out of them for a reason. People need to realize that dogs are strong creatures that have the ability to attack if provoked or trained in a manner that would make them nervous, or agitated. It's horrible when anyone is injured by a dog, any dog. I am not defending the owners of this particular dog in any way, they should have known how to properly raise their dog
I also want to add that I am a very firm believer in the fact that there are no bad dogs, just bad owners. All dogs need socialization and training and exercise to be healthy and happy. If this dog wasn't getting his needs met he could have snapped. It could also be a dog from a backyard breeder that cares about making a quick buck instead of bettering the breed. Dogs like that tend to do things out of character of the breed. This is out of character of the breed.
Most bullmastiffs I've ever come in contact with have been very friendly and very gentle with children. Bull mastiffs were actually bred to not inflict injury, but to hold down by their mass. So, it's not in their nature to bite. With that said I have to wonder if it was mistaken for breed. The video never shows a picture of the dog. There are other breeds that resemble a bullmastiff. I also wonder what the kid did to provoke the attack.
@BRIDGETisRADICAL I'm sorry but I just HAVE to reply. So just because YOU have a "pure bred" that means literally every single bull mastiff would NOT bite or inflict injury?
Not YOU but I've had many Mastiff owners try and attack me and it's funny and just plain hypocritical, because these are the same ones that say "Pit bulls are bad"
@FUzupf idk how to respond all im saying is that the only reason a bull mastiff would attack anybody is if it has a bad owner (i am part of the AKC so we learn this stuff)
@FUzupf i hate when people post shit like this just feeding into media bullshit why dont you post a vid of yourself and tell us how you feel it would be alot better than making all these mastiff owners look bad i hate when people this
@FUzupf well if you do then why post this crap what cause your to scared to confess your opinions by yourself what you need the medias help its because of people like you we soon will have no dogs to raise care for or in american cause the media is pointing the finger at all the supposedly visous dogs in the world its because of them there soon will be no dogs to walk and its all bad owners fault its never really the dogs fault ever
@vastotensa he posts videos of other breeds attacking rather then the apbt like zupf would. who is all about banning pits, these vids show that not just some pitbull owners are irrspoinsible, but other owners of differnt breeds are also irrspoinsible !
@vastotensa well maybe i was wrong about you because i have seen other vids that you made which were pretty good sorry for my assumption side lol kicks in sometimes
@FUzupf its stuff like this that's really vile its almost always the owners fault yet you have almost 596 videos almost all of them pointing the fingers at dogs its obtuse people like you that believe its always the dogs fault i say this with all the sincerity i can muster but i prey to god you will never have a dog because if it escapes and attacks somebody your gonna do everything in your power to say oh its my dogs fault you imbecilic freak hope you get put to sleep
@vastotensa Where do you get that I'm "pointing fingers?"
I'm showing the other dog bites. I have no way of knowing each circumstance to each dog attack. What I know, is what you know by watching this video.
And to clarify the latter conversation. bridget was stating that she has a purebred dog and there's no way a purebred could've attacked. My reply was asking her if a dog is a purebred...it won't attack?
That has nothing to do with "pointing fingers" at dogs OR the owners.
@FUzupf my question wasn't even related to the purebred one it was related all to you and if your not pointing fingers then stop posting this crap just saying
@BRIDGETisRADICAL I too have a bull mastiff and agree that in the right owners hands this would never happen, the problem is however that more and more owners who have bull mastiffs have no idea about owning a large breed dog and as a result create agressive dogs, or simply want them because to make them agressive. What I'm basically saying is as responsible bull mastiff owners we need to get active in our respective communities and try to counter the bad rep this glorious breed is getting.
I have to say this a tragic wound. Saying this, I have been brought up with German Shephard dogs and they are also labled as dangerous dogs, At this moment I own an English Bullmastiff and he is the biggest pussy I have ever owned, he is loyal and a big tedy. I had a party on friday for my 6yr old and all the kids wrer climbing over him. While out with him he sat down while 2 dogs passed, the Jack Russel there attacked us both. Blame the upbringing not the dog!!!
Im sick and tired of people judging Pitbulls or Bull mastiff's, any type of dog can attack you and also depends how the dog was raised. I got attacked by a rottweiler mix n it doesnt mean ima hate the breed. Shit happends people get attcked by dogs der may or may not be a reson it just happends. You wont gain nothing by talking trash about the breed of a dog. Any dog that has been raised by being hit or tortured are the only dogs that kill. If a dog is aggressive to people be responsible
Like people, any dog can attack. You just don't know. I know someone who was attacked by someone they knew very well. Everyone was shocked. Owners need to be more responsible with their pets. I have 4 dogs, they are supervised, have never attacked, but could like any animal. They are all calm and easy going.
If this dog has attacked and continues to attack or do harm to people it should be put down, and must have been raised and taught wrong... but that in NO way has to do with the breed of the dog! Mastiff's have to be the most loving gentle and easy going dogs dispite there gigantic size, and its unfortunate that this mastiff wasn't raised properly... if it even was a mastiff in this video, because mastiff's are usually GREAT with children
I have a dane/mastiff (dannif) that weens kittens and protects chicks but if she ever showed the slightest bit of aggression toword someone other than an intruder I would put her down because the fact is that they are huge/powerful and no child or even an adult would have a very good chance of fending her off, shame on the owner for knowingly letting her dog with a history of aggression socialize with anyone other than her own family and shame on the people who are blaming the child.
I have a bull mastiff and a red nose pit. They are both big love-able babies! Because I raised them that way! I do know they can have a violent nature if they are provoked or feel they need to protect them selves or their owners though, I'm not saying it's the little boys fault or anything but I wouldnt entirely put the blame on the dog. The dogs owner should have a fence or something since her dog is known to be violent. But NOT ALL pits and bull dogs are violent creatures
great now i'm sure this dumbass puts out how terrible all bullmastiffs must be. Terrorize the whole neighborhood? with what farting, eating, excessive drooling, and sleeping. This was obviously not a full breed, or some idiot has trained this dog otherwise, or the kid had to excessively be provoking it, which is doubtful it would respond. Ive never even had one of these dogs that barely even barks. They generally just what to be loved constantly and cuddle up like big teddy bear.
He alwasys comes to them panting and with his head down NEVER has shown aggression. The Pit Bulls I have owned I can't say the same no one could go in my back yard with them. Lastly I think the mother should take 90% of the responsibility for her child getting bit. She knew about the dog from what the people wer e saying about it but she still let her child go around that dog.
blooded. To be honest I don't think the dog is going to be full blooded. It is highly unlikey that a full blooded Bull Mastiff would attack ANYONE for no reason. Look around on the net and see how many attacks Mastiff do each year.... your not going to find many. I have searched for Mastiff attacks and this is the first one I have ever found. I have 11 nieces and nephews ranging from 8 months to 17yrs old and my Mastiff has never once looked at them funny.
I have had pit bulls before and now I have a Bull Mastiff and I would NEVER let ANY children be around my dogs without my husband or myself in case something were to happen. My Bull Mastiff weights 180lbs and doesn't seem to have a mean bone in his body. The meter man can even jump the fence to get a reading and my dog doesnt even bother him. I do not dislike Pit's but it seems that they are the most likely to attack. I wish there were a pic of this "Bull Masitff" so I could see if he was full
this is normally a very gentle breed. Im wondering what kind of owner did the dog have. there are many people who just put their dog in the back yard, and feed them just enough, and have very little interaction with them. Treating a dog in this manner will result in an ill tempered animal. Its a common misconception that the attack have to do with the breed, but more so with how the animals life is from day to day. You can chain a poodle in you back yard and it can get mean.
Ok, this is ridiculous. No ONE breed of dog is "dangerous". The fact is ALL breeds of dog are DANGEROUS. They are ANIMALS, and when people forget that and try to humanize them things can go wrong. We can train them but in the end they are animals and you should NEVER forget that. Keeping any animal as a pet can be dangerous. I have been working with dogs for years and it is never the dog's fault. It is the owners who need to take responsibility and realize when they don't have control.
Its almost never the dogs fault. The way a dogs owner brings it up and trains it can affect the dog positively or negatively. the owner probably did something wrong in this case.
I have 2 mastiffs. And my Family works closely with the great lakes rescue. And Mastiffs are actually the most protective of children and least likely to bite. Either the dog had some sort of syndrome or that kid pissed it off.
all im saying is it is people like YOU that give these gentle giants a bad reputation , i trust theese dogs more than the little fucking chihuahuas or poms ! its YOUR fault so many animals get put to sleep cause someones little prickish kid was fucking around and doing something it shouldnt have been doing and the dog bites him , and its the end of the world a vicious dog attack ! bye bye dog u were protecting urself from getting injured doing what an ANIMAL does !
i have owned way to many of the english bullmastiffs and not one of them has ever bittem a human or another dog , all im saying is blame the kids , i have 3 kids and none of them have ever gotten bit by my mastiffs or any mastiff ! or blame the owner , the mastiff is not an agressive breed unless mixed with something . its not the dogs fault , the parents of the kids should have been watching better ! , if anything put the owner to sleep not the dog , he was just doing what he was trained to do
my question is , what was the boy doing to provoke the dog ! i have english mastiffs !
i almost 100 percent guarentee that the dog was NOT an english bull mastiff ,the only mastiff there is that has been known to be somewhat agressive is the african mastiff known as the boerboel mastiff ! either that or the dog was mixed with american terrier or staffordshire terrier ! blame the mother of the boy for not watching her kid , and or the owner !b4 u judge the beast, judge the 1 who made the beast
I'm not slamming the breed, I don't hate Mastiffs. I'm just amazed how dog owners are so certain their breed is the perfect breed and Pit Bulls are SO dangerous.
You're exactly right, the owner should have been charged, but since it wasn't a "pit bull" I guess the AC is a little more lax on upholding the laws.
@FUzupf i have to agree with juju the mastiff breed as a whole is breed as a guard dog, they by nature pin not maul this goes back to roman times when the breed was used to guard food a person is pinned and cant get up then hes been caught now dogs can be train to maul and attack on sight but it goes against there nature. i wouldnt put away ne doubt that the dog is a mix breed. but it also comes to wat i want to kno most was the kid taunting the dog. 70% of attacks r because some1 taunts the dog
@FUzupf i agree. i dont care what breed dog, if it wants to hurt you it will try to and in most cases with children the dog will indeed hurt a child. its the owners responsibility 100% to train and bring a dog up in the most suitable way for their surroundings. dont kill the dog just send him or her to angry dog island and put the owner under the needle.
@juju72307 Actually, there are many mastiff breeds that are aggressive. but yes you are right about the English mastiff. i also have an English 5 year old male and a neo 4 year old male. And guess what i have 2 kids a 7 year old and a 8 month old. both my dogs don’t even look funny at my kids or my neighbors kids.
@juju72307 But the second a stranger walks in the house that is a different story, they won’t attack but they let the person know that he should be careful. None the less the mastiff breed is very protective but only of its own family.
And yah this is the first time I hear about a mastiff attacking a kid! They are the best baby sitters
@juju72307 blame the mother of the boy for not watching her kid , and or the owner !b4 u judge the beast, judge the 1 who made the beast...this is correct. the rest of what you typed is speculation
@juju72307 kids or animals , kids cab be outside freely.. dogs cannot , esp VICIOUS ONEs!! muahahaa.... no for real though... that dog shouldnt have been out.
@juju72307 BullShit Sherlock!!!! First!!! Learn to read.... It says Bull Mastif, not English Mastif!! I have owned Mastifs my whole Life, both English and Bull, neither were aggressive. As for the Boerboel, you need to do more research on the Breed before you puke all over Youtube about it!! The breed is hardly known of, first off, and Donks like you only encourage the fear of it before ever meeting one!! And Boerboels are the least aggressive of the moloser Breeds.
@juju72307 FACT!!!!! Boerboel is not even a Mastiff by definition!!! In fact, it has NO known make up on record TO DATE!!! It is a mix of multiple breeds!!! FACT!!! The Bull Mastiff and English Mastiff are both Breed specific Dogs,i.e AKC recognized, the Boerboel is not!! FACT!!!! Any and I mean ANY DOG can and will bite if unsocialized, untrained and sheltered from LIFE!! Mr Expert here!!! You are a complete Donk, no brains whatsoever!!
@juju72307 People who read this dudes garbage statement, research Boerboel first before jumping on his weak ass band wagon of wannabe expert advice!!!
it does not matter the breed of the dog ppl should not have to worry about there kids getting attacked by someone elses dog while playing in the yard.... The owner should of done a better job at restraining her animal...
@juju72307 wow so it has to be the kids fault?..open your eyes man, kids are kids..if a dog attacks a child its a dangerous dog to have in any neighborhood with children around.. And Mastiffs are not all nice and cuddly, I was bitten last week by one in my neighborhood...what did I do to provoke him??uhh ride by on a public rode on my non loud motorcycle..now imagine if it had been a kid on a bike would you still defend the animal?
@juju72307 wow so it has to be the kids fault?..open your eyes man, kids are kids..if a dog attacks a child its a dangerous dog to have in any neighborhood with children around.. @juju72307 I would have to see a the dog in question before I could believe that it just attacked a kid just because it had nothing better to do on a Tuesday afternoon. I do own a bull mastiff myself and the neighborhood kids consistently give my dog the people's elbow and the he just rolls over and takes it happily. Not buying that it was a bull mastiff without seeing the dog.
I have owned Pit Bulls and Mastiffs my whole life! You can even look up my video of my 3 dogs, ALL WILL PIT AND MASTIFF IN THEM. Not once have any of my dogs shown aggression, even towards my young niece and nephew as they are growing up! Even the dogs that I have rescued that had been abused and neglected were rehabilitated and were/are great dogs! It's the stupid owners for not training and raising there dogs right! If people know what they are doing this will NEVER happen!!
@ashluvsfootfighters.Another dog owner that thinks her dog is such a sweet loving animal. Why was'nt the bloody thing put down first time.I will kill any effing animal that tries to bite my child. You dog owners make me sick when you keep defending the right to own a dangerous dog. They DO get out and kill. God lets have some sanity here.I hope you get owned by a frenzied vicious dog one day.You may learn a valuable lesson,if you survive!
Its not the breed, its how the dog is brought up, my bullmastiff would be too lazy to attack anyone. And anyways you should watch your kids with any breed of dog! i would bite a little shit too if it was pullin on my tail!
A very weird thing . I tried to find more information on the net about this atack , to find what exactly breed of dog it was involved . If any . But my results are close to zero. zip . nada . I finded the boy's mother and the owner of the dog on the same site . I made an account on that social site and I asked the owner and the boy's mother about the origins of the dog (pedigree , kennel , breeder ) ... in below 24 hours , my account on that site was deleted . No response .
Holy cow, people. Maybe watch the video..? This dog had numerous complaints against it, and the owner did nothing (must not have given a shit.) Animal Control probably couldn't do anything (or wouldn't). This could have been prevented if the owner was decent or animal control did its job in removing her failure. Protective isn't the same as belligerent.
As a bullmastiff owner my self , my bullmastiff is great wiv my ova dogs n my daughter but i nooo 4 a fact if any 1 or any thing came into my house uninvited she would attack!!! even tho she is fully trained into being a good house pet n a great pet 4 my daughter. Wen we r not around she is the pack leader and a great protector but wen im around she no's im the human pack leader. Any dog,any size, mixed or full pedigree can attack it's the stupid ppl who owen the dogs!!! Not the dogs fault!!!
I just wrote to the boy's mother . I tried unsuccessfully to contact the owner of the dog . But I will try again . We'll see what breed the dog really was . If it was a breed in the first place .
this is redicilous, if it was any other breed of dog, blue heeler for example they would just be saying "dog attack" not "bull mastif attack". It all comes down to how you look after an animal i have a bull mastif and he wouldnt hurt a fly and he is calm and relaxed around every one
and , as for this video , things are clear : THIS IS NOT A BULLMASTIFF ! this is a PITBULL . Because some americans are willing to sell their own mothers for money , they put some molosser breeds in pitbull , like bullmastiff , cane corso , mastino napoletano etc ... in their way of making american bully . or american bullshit . they hope to bring guard instinct in pitbull , but they fail . so , children are mauled because of some people's greed . call it bandog if you like , it is a pitbull
PITBULL IS NOT A BREED OF DOGS !!!! Only one or two american's asociations say APBT is a breed . They are willing to sell their own mothers for money . For money they spell things like american akita , american bulldog , american tosa , american bullshit !!!!
PITBULL IS NOT A BREED OF DOGS .
And I don't care what are you doing with your pathetic life , but stop throwing shit on OTHER breeds . real breeds of dog .
If you wanna "report" put facts . pedigree of the dog .
ok ... but why ? why you are doing that ? why you "report" ? who the fuck are you ? avenging angel or something ? what "report" is that ? put papers of the dog , put pictures of the dog . why you don't do that ? aaaa ... you just "report" . and lie in here that isn't a way of living for you . you are a liar , Pinochio . I said your reports are just lies .
you say : "I make a breed look bad ?" when referring to pitbull . Understand once and for all , PITBULL IS NOT A BREED OF DOGS .
Aww. You think of me as an "ANGEL" Thank you so much. But I can't take all the credit.
It's sad and pathetic of you accusing me of lying.
Again!!! How can I.....ME.....FuZupf, lie about a dog attack when I post the ACTUAL, REAL news media story OR post the web link to the story in each and every single one of my videos??????????????????????
I have a bullmastiff. He was adopted like one and half a year ago. He is the most nice, patient dog ever. We can let any children or dog close to him. And he was never trained, he was abbadoned.
you dumbass pitbull owners should be ashamed you allways blame the victims even when they die my god how low do you have to go .
.
Shame on you idiots ,you owners disgust me.
.
it doesn't matter if they are trained you fucking idiots ,an animal is an animal you can't change the beast....
.
does it even matter... i would gladly stab that dog to death for what it did to that child... it deserves to suffer and ultimately die idiots ,you 'people' should be ashamed!
and yes @FUzupf people get angry you know why ,because they see that cut and know that that poor child barely survived and because you bitbull owners allways blame the victim never the animal EVEN WHEN THE VICTIM IS DEAD ,you tell me is that normal?
.
There is nothing wrong with @osmiu he displays human emotion ,you don't seem to have any ,only thing you do is provoke people by uploading a victim close to death due to a pitbull and at the same time defend the pitbull....!
... are nothing like the other owners i see online ,you are a differend [breed] you need anger management!
.
i don't see other pitbull owners posting video's with victims they overall want to show their dog and say see my dog is normal so its not the dog its victim.
.
and you start this group thing like you have something in common with the other owners you don't!!!
.
you provoke thats all you do ,you need to deal with those anger isues you have!
Are there any images of the dog in question? Stating that it is a Bullmastiff has caused the ridiculous argument in the comments, however judging by other videos, most people (even governments) have a misconception as to what the breed is - so without video evidence, it is just speculation.
ohh and 1 more thing! you no wut gets me the most!, is why when a person kills/hurts another person they dont get the chair/putdown/gas chamber/ect. and when the dog so called attacks the kid and the kid recovers just like that, the dog gets put down, now that iss some mother fucking bull shit!!
i hope the dog lives :( cuz the kids were probly throwing stuff at the dog makin the dog react....he probly should of been supervised by a parent or gaurdian(the kid).
well, this is pretty awful and nasty, but it never ssays where the child was or why the dog even attacked. bullmastiffs were bred to be guard dogs.. in the town next to mine a five year old child was attacked and killed by a bullmastiff when the child wandered onto the property the dog had been raised to protect.. then the dog was put to sleep. it was a terrible a tragedy, but honestly, an avoidable one. know your neighborhood, keep an eye on your kids. it's 2010.
anyone arguing in favor of breed-specific legislation is admitting that they are too stupid or lazy to take care of their self. if you are going to be out in the world you best learn how to assess threat and keep your head up. If, however, you want to live in fear, continue sitting on your couch, posting nonsense like this.
We have Bullmastiffs. Even though ours love children if they attacked a child to such a degree they'd be put down. Shame on the owner if the kids were in the backyard ALONE with the dog. This is basic dog rules 101. Never leave children alone with massive dog/dogs. You have to really know your dog if you choose to disregard this rule. And seems she's had problems with the dog before, but refuses to do the right thing.
Dealing with a vicious dog in the neighborhood is, in fact, a very complicated problem. You have to make a series of choices. 9mm? .223? .243? .308? I guess in the end they're all winners, but one has to be better than the others.
The FACT IS: PEOPLE NEED to EDUCATE THEMSELVES BEFORE BUYING ANY DOG! OBEDIENCE TRAINING IS AN EXCELLENT TOOL for YOU and YOUR DOG of ANY BREED! ANY DOG CAN ATTACK! I DON"T CARE IF IT'S A POODLE or a 200LB MASTIFF, WITHOUT PROPER TRAINING YOUR LOOKING for TROUBLE!! These Animal's NEED ALOT OF TIME AND ATTENTION! WHICH MOST OWNER'S CAN'T GIVE... THINK BEFORE YOU OBTAIN AN ANIMAL OF ANY KIND!
leave others breeds alone , do not hide your own impotence and stupidity behind that kind of copy-paste atacks . this is not a way to save a dog that is dead and burried . in here you show your frustrations because you are IMPOTENT , because you can't do shit to defend your type of dog . frustration is your middle name . eat shit and die in pain , Pinochio .
quote me where I said that . some dogs are agressive , not an entire breed . PITBULL IS NOT A BREED OF DOG . Never has been . A breed of dog is breed by the standard , mostly by the way it look , not by the way it fight . I don't like FUzupf ' s atitude . He defend pitbull making other breeds look bad . A insane , stupid , cowardice way of defending anything . He made it a way of living . Shame on him .
@osmiu I don't make other breeds 'look bad' I simply report them. How about this question: would you have ANY problem if I was just like any other Pit Hater and ONLY post Pit Bull attacks? Would you stil say I make the breed look bad? I don't talk shit on the other breed attacks that I post. I simply report them to the public to make them understand that OTHER breeds have the capability to inflict just as much damage.
I see where you are coming from many attacks are named pitbull attacks are not. BUT I have seen many that are from true APBT. So for that great for pointing it out but don't go acting like your APBT is a great breed to own. They aint because many of the owners of them are plain idiots. Just like the mastiffs if pitbull advocates would point out they are not for first time dog owners life would be great for all.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! do you see how OFFENSIVE pit haters are??
The personal attacks? the insults? the hatred???
I refuse to debate any further with this kind of trash. It's pathetic how Pit Owners have to endure hatred and insults....yet, when we voice any type of opinion we still get labled as the 'typical pit nutter.' So to not stir anything up, we usually just take the heat and brush it off.
As for this 'osimu' character, I already answered your question earlier today.
@FUzupf bullmastiffs are in the top 10 for breeds that are trustworthy with babies and little kids. this was obviously a bad apple or the owner is just ignorant.
@osmiu the pitbull is a great, athletic, powerful, beautiful, and compassionate dogss
when people of our race take the dogs, raise them in cages, beat them, and put them in a pit without food or water, they are bound to end up a fucked up breed
I stated already about that article , moron . are you so stupid that you don't understand ? this article is bullshit . a lie . just like you . made from a handjob .
What about hundred children dead from your's pitbulls atack ? What are you have to say about that , fucker ? can you bring them back ?
Why BSL exist today ? How BSL is born ? Why ?
respond to this . everytime you avoid to answer . it is true that BSL appeared because of the pitbulls killing ? WORLDWIDE ! YES or NO ??????
you posted that shit . Pinochio . If you don't know shit , why on your pussy's wife posted that ? you are a copy-paste robot , or what the fuck are you , moron ?
where is the dog ? put here the dog picture ! and papers to show that in fact is a bullmastiff ! Pinochio !
baga-mi-as pula-n ma-ta de cacat pansat , sa-tzi trag fatza'n pula de castrat , baga-tzi-ai pitbullu'n kur ca sa vomitzi aschii , milogu' pulii mele .
@osmiu Like I just stated....if you have any stupid questions, contact the news station or newspaper that reported the article. Don't ask me where the dog from a suspected atack is. I'm not the editor at the TV station. I can't control what comes out of other peoples mouth.
@BluePittbull666 totally disagree, small children, big dogs... cause they can handle the 'roughness' of small children. A little dog is able to damage small children too. Mentality and training are keywords and a bullmastiff is born with an excellent reliable mentality, the rest is the owners responsibility.
dogs rarely attack w/out reason & they read off body language. its nvr the dogs fault. i bet the owner wasnt supervising the kids to begin w/ ive owned bullmastiffs, saints, gsds, & dobies for years - & im willing to bet that the kid wasnt trained how to be smart around dogs & the dumb kid put its face in the dog's face & thats what happened. notice they talked about how the DOG did something wrong, but not what the kid was doing....
I cant belive that. i have had mastiffs all my life nd i have never felt they wood attack anyone. there must have been someone thing else to make that dog attack that child.
OK FIRST OF ALL A bullmastiff IS A MASTIFF techinically evolved from a mastiff. A cane corso is italian mastiff . Dogue de Bordeaux is a french mastiff , South African Boerboel is another Mastiff . Neapolitan Mastiff.. The mastiff breed is famous. Also Tibetan Mastiff. LOOK up all these breeds they are excellent guard dogs. Its not theb breed btw its the owner look up cesar milan and dog psychology
my bullmastif will attack when i command her to...i trained her to do so. but she is like a police dog, well disciplined. she has never attacked anyone without my telling her to do so.
the kid must have done something cause bullys are very gentle they do not attack unless are treated badly i own one and have been around many none have ever been mean the owner should learn how to handle it and trhe mother of the kid needs to teach him how to act around dog.
Dog's attitudes usually depend on their owner, and how they are raised. If the dog is neglected emotionally as a puppy, it can become less tolerant of people as it gets older. I would blame the owner for any attack no matter what type of dog. Also, small dogs could possibly attack just as often or more often than large dogs, but large dogs do more damage therefore increasing the chances there will be a news story on it. You wont see a headline saying, ``Massive Chihuahua Attack!``
When you have a big dog, you have to be a responsible pet owner. Bullmastiff's are such gentle dogs, but there can always be one who isn't. Romping with a huge dog can bring injuries even if the dog is playing and not actually attacking. I think it's sad when people are attacked by any breed of dog.
Ok first of all, a bull masitff IS NOT A MASTIFF. Mastiffs are bred gaurd dogs, and yes, they're is the occasional accident, but if you have ever known one, you would know they are great dogs. 95% of the time a dog is vicious, it is the owners fault. There is no such thing as an evil breed.
I have to agree - the dogs' owner is at fault here. I have a Bullmastiff and a Great Dane x Mastiff. Both of my dogs are well trained and well socialised and the gentlest dogs you could ever want to meet.
I agree with you UZBEKISTANQUEEN21, I have also owned, TRAINED (and they do need training) mastiffs rotties & shepherds.. its all about respect, the dog needs to respect people & people the dog, don't get one cos they look cool, if they're that tough they wouldn't need this breed.. in the wrong hands they're a loaded gun.. people need to really do their homework before getting one or they'll ruin the breed..
Poor child! Look, I train Mastiffs. I own Mastiffs. Dogs like humans can be unpredictable. Any dog of any breed can and may bite if startled, hurt or threatened. I love & have both Mastiffs and children, my children are taught to not tease or harm our dogs. The owners have had issues with said attacking dog in the past. They need some professional dog training. Large breeds are not for everyone. Dogs as well as children need discipline and guidance, or bothmay/will turn out bad....
i have a bull mastiff and he hasent bitten anybody in his entire live. i have a little boston terrier that always picks fights with him and if they ever do get in a fight all he does is put his legs over my boston and just pin him to the ground untill we come over and pull our boston off him lol i remember reading somewhere they where breed as sheep dogs that protect against wolves by pinning them to the ground untill the shepard came over and killed the wolf
actualy they were bred to hunt proachers and hold them to the ground until the officer or w/e comes. and pinning a wolf to the ground i realy dont think that would work out for any breed =] a wolf wouldnt sit there and not struggle while a human may become afraid and hold still(if he has a brain)
Why is it that we can label a breed as gentle..but not dangerous? Goes both ways! Every dog is different..regardless of the breed. I also agree that it has a lot to do with how the owner treats/raises the dog..but sometimes instincts take over..they are animals..not people.

Point is, don't blame one breed for an owner's misguided effort.

badz610 7 months ago
@Theward2010 I completely agree, I own a three year old boy mastiff & he is a great big softy, but if anyone was to break in or come across as a threat he would soon sort them out lol. Even on walks in the woods if he see's anyone he becomes verry awear of them and runs ofter to me and stays close. & yes any dog can attack but I find it very hard to belive a mastiff would do that unless he was prevoted by the child....
rct931 7 months ago
Any dog is able to turn bad. It all depends on how the dog is raised. A lab can be worse than a pit bull or rottweiler. The breed doesn't make the dog the way it behaves, it's the owner. Therefore there is no Nice or bad breed. Only Nice or bad owners. Anyone who says otherwise is breedist. To those who say that a certain breed wouldn't hurt a thing, I say you're wrong. Maybe YOUR dog won't hurt a thing, but that doesn't mean NO OTHER DOG of that breed will. All depends how their raised.
PiratingPhotography 7 months ago
absolutely not true. the news station fucked up; most likely. Maybe an english mastiff or probably a pitbull or some thing similar looking. bull mastiffs aren't capable of doing this.
... fuckin idiots
goulddd11 7 months ago
The breed has nothing to do with it's ability to attack, the size of the dog matters, yes, but it's unfortunate that some dogs are labeled as "dangerous". I have seen a chocolate lab attack a small dog, and I have seen a pitbull play with an infant baby. It's all about the way the dog was raised and socialized. It's frightening when such a large dog is aggressive, but I personally feel that the breed of the dog is not the problem.
zombiebomb88 7 months ago
It breaks my heart when people bring a dog into their lives simply for "protection", domesticated breeds have had the aggression bread out of them for a reason. People need to realize that dogs are strong creatures that have the ability to attack if provoked or trained in a manner that would make them nervous, or agitated. It's horrible when anyone is injured by a dog, any dog. I am not defending the owners of this particular dog in any way, they should have known how to properly raise their dog
zombiebomb88 7 months ago
I also want to add that I am a very firm believer in the fact that there are no bad dogs, just bad owners. All dogs need socialization and training and exercise to be healthy and happy. If this dog wasn't getting his needs met he could have snapped. It could also be a dog from a backyard breeder that cares about making a quick buck instead of bettering the breed. Dogs like that tend to do things out of character of the breed. This is out of character of the breed.
tdarling81 8 months ago
Most bullmastiffs I've ever come in contact with have been very friendly and very gentle with children. Bull mastiffs were actually bred to not inflict injury, but to hold down by their mass. So, it's not in their nature to bite. With that said I have to wonder if it was mistaken for breed. The video never shows a picture of the dog. There are other breeds that resemble a bullmastiff. I also wonder what the kid did to provoke the attack.
tdarling81 8 months ago
A bull mastiff would never do this i have a pure bred bull mastiff and he is the friendlies dog around kids so loving this dog was not a bull mastiff
BRIDGETisRADICAL 8 months ago
@BRIDGETisRADICAL I'm sorry but I just HAVE to reply. So just because YOU have a "pure bred" that means literally every single bull mastiff would NOT bite or inflict injury?
Not YOU but I've had many Mastiff owners try and attack me and it's funny and just plain hypocritical, because these are the same ones that say "Pit bulls are bad"
FUzupf 8 months ago

vastotensa 5 months ago
@vastotensa Where do you get that I'm "pointing fingers?"
I'm showing the other dog bites. I have no way of knowing each circumstance to each dog attack. What I know, is what you know by watching this video.
And to clarify the latter conversation. bridget was stating that she has a purebred dog and there's no way a purebred could've attacked. My reply was asking her if a dog is a purebred...it won't attack?
That has nothing to do with "pointing fingers" at dogs OR the owners.
FUzupf 5 months ago
@FUzupf my question wasn't even related to the purebred one it was related all to you and if your not pointing fingers then stop posting this crap just saying

@BRIDGETisRADICAL I too have a bull mastiff and agree that in the right owners hands this would never happen, the problem is however that more and more owners who have bull mastiffs have no idea about owning a large breed dog and as a result create agressive dogs, or simply want them because to make them agressive. What I'm basically saying is as responsible bull mastiff owners we need to get active in our respective communities and try to counter the bad rep this glorious breed is getting.

Saffron49 9 months ago
If this dog has attacked and continues to attack or do harm to people it should be put down, and must have been raised and taught wrong... but that in NO way has to do with the breed of the dog! Mastiff's have to be the most loving gentle and easy going dogs dispite there gigantic size, and its unfortunate that this mastiff wasn't raised properly... if it even was a mastiff in this video, because mastiff's are usually GREAT with children
gangstar1771 9 months ago
I have a dane/mastiff (dannif) that weens kittens and protects chicks but if she ever showed the slightest bit of aggression toword someone other than an intruder I would put her down because the fact is that they are huge/powerful and no child or even an adult would have a very good chance of fending her off, shame on the owner for knowingly letting her dog with a history of aggression socialize with anyone other than her own family and shame on the people who are blaming the child.
lovekillsslowly420 10 months ago

They generally just what to be loved constantly and cuddle up like big teddy bear.
upinya25 10 months ago
He alwasys comes to them panting and with his head down NEVER has shown aggression. The Pit Bulls I have owned I can't say the same no one could go in my back yard with them. Lastly I think the mother should take 90% of the responsibility for her child getting bit. She knew about the dog from what the people wer e saying about it but she still let her child go around that dog.
mel6364096 11 months ago

I wish there were a pic of this "Bull Masitff" so I could see if he was full

hi there,
this is normally a very gentle breed.
SoulTroll06 11 months ago
Ok, this is ridiculous. No ONE breed of dog is "dangerous". The fact is ALL breeds of dog are DANGEROUS. They are ANIMALS, and when people forget that and try to humanize them things can go wrong. We can train them but in the end they are animals and you should NEVER forget that. Keeping any animal as a pet can be dangerous. I have been working with dogs for years and it is never the dog's fault. It is the owners who need to take responsibility and realize when they don't have control.

@juju72307 So there is absolutely no way in the slightest chance in the world that the breed is an English Bull Mastiff?
That's a pretty BOLD statement. Tell this fact to the family of a 7yr old boy in Calgary. He was mauled by his friend's ENGLISH MASTIFF.
google: ctv.calgary.ca headline is, "Family dog will be euthanized after attack.
You're so certain it had to be a boerboel or mixed with a "pit bull"?
FUzupf 1 year ago 3
I'm not slamming the breed, I don't hate Mastiffs. I'm just amazed how dog owners are so certain their breed is the perfect breed and Pit Bulls are SO dangerous.
You're exactly right, the owner should have been charged, but since it wasn't a "pit bull" I guess the AC is a little more lax on upholding the laws.
FUzupf 1 year ago
@FUzupf i have to agree with juju the mastiff breed as a whole is breed as a guard dog, they by nature pin not maul this goes back to roman times when the breed was used to guard food a person is pinned and cant get up then hes been caught now dogs can be train to maul and attack on sight but it goes against there nature. i wouldnt put away ne doubt that the dog is a mix breed. but it also comes to wat i want to kno most was the kid taunting the dog. 70% of attacks r because some1 taunts the dog
spikeblk 11 months ago
@FUzupf i agree. i dont care what breed dog, if it wants to hurt you it will try to and in most cases with children the dog will indeed hurt a child. its the owners responsibility 100% to train and bring a dog up in the most suitable way for their surroundings. dont kill the dog just send him or her to angry dog island and put the owner under the needle.

I made an account on that social site and I asked the owner and the boy's mother about the origins of the dog (pedigree , kennel , breeder ) ... in below 24 hours , my account on that site was deleted . No response .
Fabrication ?
osmiu 1 year ago
@osmiu
Well, you can't blame me for that. I'm sorry that you try and research and you end up getting nowhere.
Just like me when I created an account with DBO long ago. I just asked a simple question of a multiple dog attack incident and they deleted me.

Because your actual , real news media story is about a PITBULL .
That's why !
And your title is "Bull Mastiff attacks boy (Graphic Picture) "
The news TITLE is on the Screen , Red On Blue : "VICIOUS DOG ATTACK" . So
you are a fucking LIAR !
osmiu 1 year ago
this is redicilous, if it was any other breed of dog, blue heeler for example they would just be saying "dog attack" not "bull mastif attack". It all comes down to how you look after an animal i have a bull mastif and he wouldnt hurt a fly and he is calm and relaxed around every one
iamjosh112233 1 year ago
and , as for this video , things are clear : THIS IS NOT A BULLMASTIFF ! this is a PITBULL . Because some americans are willing to sell their own mothers for money , they put some molosser breeds in pitbull , like bullmastiff , cane corso , mastino napoletano etc ... in their way of making american bully . or american bullshit . they hope to bring guard instinct in pitbull , but they fail . so , children are mauled because of some people's greed . call it bandog if you like , it is a pitbull
osmiu 1 year ago
PITBULL IS NOT A BREED OF DOGS !!!! Only one or two american's asociations say APBT is a breed . They are willing to sell their own mothers for money . For money they spell things like american akita , american bulldog , american tosa , american bullshit !!!!
PITBULL IS NOT A BREED OF DOGS .
And I don't care what are you doing with your pathetic life , but stop throwing shit on OTHER breeds . real breeds of dog .
If you wanna "report" put facts . pedigree of the dog .
osmiu 1 year ago
ok ... but why ? why you are doing that ? why you "report" ? who the fuck are you ? avenging angel or something ? what "report" is that ? put papers of the dog , put pictures of the dog . why you don't do that ? aaaa ... you just "report" . and lie in here that isn't a way of living for you . you are a liar , Pinochio . I said your reports are just lies .
you say : "I make a breed look bad ?" when referring to pitbull . Understand once and for all , PITBULL IS NOT A BREED OF DOGS .

Aww. You think of me as an "ANGEL" Thank you so much. But I can't take all the credit.

I have a bullmastiff. He was adopted like one and half a year ago. He is the most nice, patient dog ever. We can let any children or dog close to him. And he was never trained, he was abbadoned.

you dumbass pitbull owners should be ashamed you allways blame the victims even when they die my god how low do you have to go .
.
Shame on you idiots ,you owners disgust me.
.
it doesn't matter if they are trained you fucking idiots ,an animal is an animal you can't change the beast....
.
does it even matter... i would gladly stab that dog to death for what it did to that child... it deserves to suffer and ultimately die idiots ,you 'people' should be ashamed!
xXxXTravisBickleXxXx 1 year ago
and yes @FUzupf people get angry you know why ,because they see that cut and know that that poor child barely survived and because you bitbull owners allways blame the victim never the animal EVEN WHEN THE VICTIM IS DEAD ,you tell me is that normal?
.
There is nothing wrong with @osmiu he displays human emotion ,you don't seem to have any ,only thing you do is provoke people by uploading a victim close to death due to a pitbull and at the same time defend the pitbull....!
.
you...
xXxXTravisBickleXxXx 1 year ago
... are nothing like the other owners i see online ,you are a differend [breed] you need anger management!
.
i don't see other pitbull owners posting video's with victims they overall want to show their dog and say see my dog is normal so its not the dog its victim.
.
and you start this group thing like you have something in common with the other owners you don't!!!
.
you provoke thats all you do ,you need to deal with those anger isues you have!
.
have a nice day :)
xXxXTravisBickleXxXx 1 year ago
Are there any images of the dog in question? Stating that it is a Bullmastiff has caused the ridiculous argument in the comments, however judging by other videos, most people (even governments) have a misconception as to what the breed is - so without video evidence, it is just speculation.

ohh and 1 more thing! you no wut gets me the most!, is why when a person kills/hurts another person they dont get the chair/putdown/gas chamber/ect. and when the dog so called attacks the kid and the kid recovers just like that, the dog gets put down, now that iss some mother fucking bull shit!!
painkiller740 1 year ago
i hope the dog lives :( cuz the kids were probly throwing stuff at the dog makin the dog react....he probly should of been supervised by a parent or gaurdian(the kid).
painkiller740 1 year ago
well, this is pretty awful and nasty, but it never ssays where the child was or why the dog even attacked. bullmastiffs were bred to be guard dogs.. in the town next to mine a five year old child was attacked and killed by a bullmastiff when the child wandered onto the property the dog had been raised to protect.. then the dog was put to sleep. it was a terrible a tragedy, but honestly, an avoidable one. know your neighborhood, keep an eye on your kids. it's 2010.

anyone arguing in favor of breed-specific legislation is admitting that they are too stupid or lazy to take care of their self. if you are going to be out in the world you best learn how to assess threat and keep your head up.

And seems she's had problems with the dog before, but refuses to do the right thing.
lulabear7 1 year ago

@osmiu so your saying only pitbulls rottweilers and gsds are aggressive.
so basically you cannot picture mastifs or poodles ,golden retriever dogs etc to bite people ?
BIGDADDYJOHNSON27 1 year ago
@BIGDADDYJOHNSON27
quote me where I said that . some dogs are agressive , not an entire breed . Shame on him .
osmiu 1 year ago
@osmiu I don't make other breeds 'look bad' I simply report them. How about this question: would you have ANY problem if I was just like any other Pit Hater and ONLY post Pit Bull attacks? Would you stil say I make the breed look bad? I don't talk shit on the other breed attacks that I post. I simply report them to the public to make them understand that OTHER breeds have the capability to inflict just as much damage.
And no, I don't make a living out of this.

@osmiu Still going on with the insults I see.
I do not avoid any question. I will answer the only question you posted.....BSL. All of this other crap that you typed is irrelevant.
BSL exists today because of lazy law makers.
Instead of getting to the root of the problem, it's easier to just ban a dog breed.

u need to be experinced when u want a mastiff.
they need firm training.
still i don't recommend large dogs to families with small children.
u never no it might go wrong.
BluePittbull666 1 year ago
@BluePittbull666 totally disagree, small children, big dogs... cause they can handle the 'roughness' of small children. A little dog is able to damage small children too. Mentality and training are keywords and a bullmastiff is born with an excellent reliable mentality, the rest is the owners responsibility.
laatjelekkerlikken 1 year ago
dogs rarely attack w/out reason & they read off body language. its nvr the dogs fault. i bet the owner wasnt supervising the kids to begin w/ ive owned bullmastiffs, saints, gsds, & dobies for years - & im willing to bet that the kid wasnt trained how to be smart around dogs & the dumb kid put its face in the dog's face & thats what happened. notice they talked about how the DOG did something wrong, but not what the kid was doing....
TheDarkAngelsRevenge 1 year ago
I agree 100%, not everyone can handle a large breed dogs, then they blame dogs,. how sad is it. they need a strong handler and be very well trained!
I love Bullmastiff, they are wonderful dogs and very loyal to their families.
I will get one soon! can't wait!
sorry for that little girl though, she had such a bad experience :(((

OK FIRST OF ALL A bullmastiff IS A MASTIFF techinically evolved from a mastiff. A cane corso is italian mastiff . Dogue de Bordeaux is a french mastiff , South African Boerboel is another Mastiff . Neapolitan Mastiff.. The mastiff breed is famous. Also Tibetan Mastiff. LOOK up all these breeds they are excellent guard dogs. Its not theb breed btw its the owner look up cesar milan and dog psychology

If the dog attacked someone else why did this mother let her child play in the yard with the neighbor child? She had to have known this.
marita649 1 year ago
the kid must have done something cause bullys are very gentle they do not attack unless are treated badly i own one and have been around many none have ever been mean the owner should learn how to handle it and trhe mother of the kid needs to teach him how to act around dog.
bullmastifflover54 1 year ago
Dog's attitudes usually depend on their owner, and how they are raised. If the dog is neglected emotionally as a puppy, it can become less tolerant of people as it gets older. I would blame the owner for any attack no matter what type of dog. Also, small dogs could possibly attack just as often or more often than large dogs, but large dogs do more damage therefore increasing the chances there will be a news story on it. You wont see a headline saying, ``Massive Chihuahua Attack!``
probert93 1 year ago
When you have a big dog, you have to be a responsible pet owner. Bullmastiff's are such gentle dogs, but there can always be one who isn't. Romping with a huge dog can bring injuries even if the dog is playing and not actually attacking. I think it's sad when people are attacked by any breed of dog.
bysandra 1 year ago
Ok first of all, a bull masitff IS NOT A MASTIFF. Mastiffs are bred gaurd dogs, and yes, they're is the occasional accident, but if you have ever known one, you would know they are great dogs. 95% of the time a dog is vicious, it is the owners fault. There is no such thing as an evil breed.
mrxray500 1 year ago
There is a la-a-arge difference between Mastiffs and Bullmastiffs.
RootbeerWolf 1 year ago
I have to agree - the dogs' owner is at fault here. I have a Bullmastiff and a Great Dane x Mastiff. Both of my dogs are well trained and well socialised and the gentlest dogs you could ever want to meet.
SianK24 2 years ago
I agree with you UZBEKISTANQUEEN21, I have also owned, TRAINED (and they do need training) mastiffs rotties & shepherds.. its all about respect, the dog needs to respect people & people the dog, don't get one cos they look cool, if they're that tough they wouldn't need this breed.. in the wrong hands they're a loaded gun.. people need to really do their homework before getting one or they'll ruin the breed..
mikeymishka1 2 years ago
Dogs as well as children need discipline and guidance, or bothmay/will turn out bad....

i have a bull mastiff and he hasent bitten anybody in his entire live. i have a little boston terrier that always picks fights with him and if they ever do get in a fight all he does is put his legs over my boston and just pin him to the ground untill we come over and pull our boston off him lol i remember reading somewhere they where breed as sheep dogs that protect against wolves by pinning them to the ground untill the shepard came over and killed the wolf
king12191 2 years ago
actualy they were bred to hunt proachers and hold them to the ground until the officer or w/e comes. and pinning a wolf to the ground i realy dont think that would work out for any breed =] a wolf wouldnt sit there and not struggle while a human may become afraid and hold still(if he has a brain)
