Vortex 2 was very much a success despite the lack of tornadoes seen. Remember the team was researching why some storms produce tornadoes and why others don't. The research gained is phenomenal and will no doubt provide interesting clues that we can't even imagine.
Doesn't it make you feel safe as they show all the fast facts about Tornadoes and how many people died in all the tornadoes in history way to up the tension lol....
Great job getting this on YouTube! I missed seeing the live tornado by about 10 minutes because I had to take Mom to the bank at the time. This is just plain nice!
I don't know why the weather channel features these guys. Took them this long to capture 1 tornado??? Every other team out there has captured several so far....
It's almost impossible to accurately predict where a tornado will touch down. Some storm chasers may get many while others may not one single tornado. It depends partly on being at the right place at the right time.
They would've had more, but they had already planned their routes long before this expedition started. Mother Nature didn't cooperate until Friday. Also, who needs "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!" anyway? This is my idea of very entertaining reality TV! ^_^
i lived in scottsbluff not to far from there i used to storm chase all the time around that area it is great open ground and lot's of great storms come through there
i used to live in scottsbluff not to far from where this happened i use to storm chase all the time there instead i had to move to the crappy front range where no tornadoes or great storms happen!
i saw most of this live on the weather channel amazing how it was and i just live south of goshen county to amazing how summer startin off already lol thank god noone was harmed though
i love v2

As it turns out, this is the only tornado that Vortex2 found in 2009.

I love the arrows and the radar comparison to the live stream, it's very helpful and easy to understand. Very entertaining too!
