melodic death has grown so bland and generic..the only one the can spice things up is wintersun..everyone else just sounds like they are ripping some shit off..riffs w chord changes and melodic guitar playing over it w a high contrast of double bass..how is it the one of the starters of melodic death music (death) was hands down the only creative and best?

In Flames is a great band. Even their new stuff. Although they have slowed the music a bit. COB, they are a different story. Although they give the outward appearance of being "Metal". They lack in song substance and talent. Not talent in playing instruments but in creating songs. They suck.
