Wonderful stuff, the Glaze. That jacket though, Candyman. I picture David Byrne sucking a thoughtful tooth while watching this, and planning his Stop Making Sense stage show.
What a show ! Mind you, THIS Danny Baker tv heros show is now 18 years old !!!! ; when I was younger my brother and I laughed at how I would, as we knew it, 'Peter Glaze' him, by putting words in his mouth when he was about to say something making him start to say the wrong thing by mistake that I had just said to fool him !!
Thanks for the video! I've been trying to find the name of "Don and Pete" for a long time -- here in Canada, the French CBC used to air that segment in its kids' show, and I've been trying to find what it was called.
I used to love the way Don McLean would prick the balloon of Peter Glaze's self importance. It's fair to say they were the Morecambe & Wise of children's television.
Great video i use to like to watch them playing the games as a lad, what memories. Have you any more of them playing the games so i can show them my kids. It maks them laf looking at the old programes of years gone by lol.
I don't have any more, but I've just had a quick search of Youtube - there's a whole programme uploaded, if you search Crackerjack 1975 ed stewpot, you'll find it.

The three men I admire most
The father, son and Mickie Most
Took the last train for the coast
And rendezvoused with Peter Glaze
To kill Don Maclean

A good programme, Don McLean and Peter Glaze shouldn't be forgotten. It's a shame the presenter's so annoying though!

Yes, its "Growing Pains", with Ray Brooks and Sharon Duce. A drama series from the early 90s about a couple who foster children.
