How many Glory Hunters did we have in the 40's ? when 99.9% of all fans came from pretty much their own door step. In fact it is easy for me...I go to Old Trafford on me bloody bike...10 mins up the road. Dublin has always been split between Liverpool and United and I bet the ratios have always been the same. Maybe some of the younger ones...i.e. post 1999 kids choose United, but I'm talking about the people I've seen at matches for decades. Same with the cockney reds supporters...my dad stood with them in the Stretford end in the 50's, and you can't put that down to glory hunting. That's correct but as all the teams played at the same time (Saturdays 3pm ko) & obviously they would have heard how the other teams in the relegation battle were getting on, but neither team knew for sure whilst on the pitch so I say WE did relegate them!
